I still haven't had a call or email to event schedule a date. I call and ask for a status and get a message to hold for approximately 30 mins.

I needed an endoscopy, and gastric emptying study prior, to determine my illness. Once that was done, this doctor proceeded to let me know i should be "happy", and even "grateful" to know i have gastroparesis (stomach paralysis) because the symptoms it gives me, mimics Ozempic. A popular weight loss drug.. I'm not trying to lose weight nor did i ever discuss that being a goal. In fact I've unintentionally lost weight in the last few years because of this illness. Saying it was insensitive, is an understatement when it was coming from my doctor. She said this to my face in front of my mother during a visit while smiling.. After giving me this diagnosis, and an Ozempic anecdote, she didn't feel a need to rule out any other causes for my symptoms. My questions about what else it could be were shot down. And I was prescribed a medication to "help" that is seldom used due to its irreversible side effects, rather than looking into ANY differential diagnosis or other possible causation for my serious concerns. This was it! I had no further exploration of whats going on, despite continually having symptoms. I am in my early 20s and this was not only a crushing blow to find out, but this disease and the other issues ive been having are ruining my quality of life. I previously thought all doctors took their oath to first do no harm, seriously. I no longer think that. I have dismissed myself* from this practice and am not interested in ever being seen by them again. But I thought people should be prepared to know what kind of care they could* receive here. I didnt see the other doctors at the practice, and did not have issues besides with my treatment by that particular provider.

He has seen me over the past 10 years and has been with me through some pretty scary times during digestive health failures. He is almost always on time, his staff, whether at the front desk or prepping in the patient room are almost as amazing as he is. His bedside manner is amazing; he is never condescending and is just a very normal person. He's very smart, but instead of preaching to you about your health, he works with you to understand your point of view (in my case I am a zero medication person) and helps with alternative treatments that have resulted in awesome care. This is a doctor you want on your side, whether it's for a routine situation or a problem that can't be figured out. Dr. Marathe is my gastroenterologist for as long as I'm able to get to him.

Recently, I had a procedure on a Friday and was told I would be called the next day. The checkin nurse had wonderful bedside manners, and comforted me through the IV and process of making me feel comfortable. The Anesthesiologist and Doctor, were as usual, professional. A nurse/representative called me on the following Monday to see how I was and asked a series of questions. When I brought up that I was told I'd be contacted the next day, and didn't hear back, she was polite and explained they don't work weekends. Although I finished the call, it was on my bluetooth, so the call was still connected; as I was waiting for the nurse to hang up, and she went on to have a very rude discussion with her colleague, exaggerating on my responses and questions, mocking me and I found that to be completely unprofessional. It's important to know we are not coming to these appointments because great things are happening to us. You are in an industry where we rely on you to maintain, confidentiality, bedside manner and professional care. Please keep that in mind when hiring and training your staff.

She has a very kind demeanor and made what would have been a scary process into a positive experience. The office staff is a mixed bag. Some are very professional and helpful, some are not. I asked to see a copy of my bill before paying and someone from the billing department insisted on speaking to me over the phone so she could argue with me and be snippy and sarcastic because they had already mailed a bill and I guess she was upset that I asked to look at it before paying? Maybe the printer ink comes directly out of her check. I would come back here for care again but be prepared to advocate for yourself quite a bit throughout your pregnancy, delivery and postpartum.

If the doctors I have encountered in the last 2 months had half the qualities Dr. Daher has, then this would be a half decent area to get medical care. The staff speaks Spanish, if you have older parents that aren't well versed in the English language I suggest you come to the appointment with them. Dr. Daher will answer all of their questions and put them at ease. From now until the end of time I will refer friends and family here, heck I'll even refer people I don't like here. I took my wife here last Friday afternoon with appendix pain and she was seen and had a room right away. Its efficient in there and super clean. They then transferred her to the main hospital and she was good to go. Both this location and the other Sentara nurses both recommended to come straight here when you have a problem. The main hospital is too crammed with ambulances coming in so DON'T go there. Also if you need a main doctor check out Mt. Vernon Internal Medicine upstairs - it's a really great doctors office and they're super nice.

This review is for Dr. William Immel, the gastroenterologist that has been treating me for 25+…read moreyears. With an ovarian and endometrial cancer diagnosis thirty-eight years ago with a surgery five years later due to adhesions causing an intestinal blockage and with another cancer 17 years ago, Dr. Immel is an amazing physician. After listening to my symptoms, he calmly advises and provides medical advise that I trust. Since a doctor visit is not routine for me and by the time of an appointment with Dr. Immel, I have worked myself into a small frenzy. With my complications, Dr, Immel's empathy and my trust with him is most reassuring. Even when a different doctor suggested a Colostomy bag about five years ago, Dr. Immel recommended that this not be a solution with a different approach recommended. I send my greatest gratitude and best wishes to Dr. Immel as he retires. He has assured me that he has mentored Dr. Dennis Nguyen for the past ten years as his clone. Dr. Nguyen has BIG shoes to Fill. :)

I discussed it with the doctor. Unfortunately, my wife had an emergency surgery Sunday prior to the Friday appointment. I called Monday morning to reschedule vs waiting til the last moment. The person I spoke to was rude and condensing when I explained the situation. Wanted to charge a cancelation fee of $500. The paperwork I signed clearly stated the appointment was able to be canceled for a medical emergency for myself or immediate family. When I explained what the papers I signed stated , I was told I had to cancel for a medical emergency a week in advance, not sure how to do that, it was an emergency. I canceled entire appointment due to the unprofessional treatment I received. I would not recommend.

So after I informed him that prilosec is category c and protonix is class b, he stopped to look up the info on his cell phone. Uhhh, I already did that doc! That's why I came to see YOU, the medical specialist, for expertise and a script. He didn't have any insight or useful to say regarding the other issue I inquired about either, basically referring me to a Dermatologist and Gastroenterologist.
