I've been a patient of Dr. Wierzbicki for years. Their office change to join Sentara and my doctor…read moremoved to Virginia Beach. The New Sentara is horrible. I tried to call to schedule an appointment and could not reach the office. They asked me a bunch of questions and was on the phone for 20 minutes only for them to transferred me to the nurse station. There is no way to even call the office without now going through Sentara. When I finally got through with the nurse they send me to the ER. My doctor would have never send me to the ER for just and UTI. They do not care about the "Personal" interaction any more. I hate this office now. I miss my doctor a lot and the small office not some robotic agency. Dr. John was a great doctor and was very personal in the past. I'm guessing the change to be Sentara was a business decision that relieves Dr. John and his previous staff of day to day issues but it's a horrible change!!! Now we can't even talk to the office. If this is now the new normal with the change to Sentara it's definitely not patient oriented or in anyone's best interest. Actively looking for another doctor.

What they don't disclose in this is that there is a risk of death. My leg is left hurting worse, and more swollen--I look like I was in a car wreck. I was told this would last 6-8 weeks and the procedure isn't a cure. They wanted to do both of my legs but after the first procedure I declined to let them touch me again. It was not a pleasant experience. Perhaps in 6-8 weeks I may change my mind. I was also told after surgery that swelling above the knee is often due to inflammation. If I had known all of this I would have likely waited to have this surgery. I don't understand why they can't give you something to help you for pain before going into surgery.

I had visited the Springfield Va Kaiser Permanente earlier the same day, although the drop off home location was verified via: voice they still had the incorrect drop off for my home address, although the address itself was correct the City was incorrect which caused the confusion and stressed me the hell out. The Drop off should had been: 8220 Russell Rd, Alexandria Va, the Uber dispatch put in 8220 Russell Rd, Fairfax, Va which the driver proceeded to take me, while at the time I had (Cataract issues) and was not able to notice that the area was unfamiliar to me until he had gotten close to the Woodbridge, Va Kaiser. After being so stressed that I had been heading in the wrong direction the entire time I had informed the driver that I do not live in Woodbridge and I was being taken to an area that was unknown to me. (Not his fault however) to make a long story shorter the driver decided since It was getting dark and I was unable to see at night that it was best for him to drop me back at the closest Kaiser that we were near which happens of course to be the Minniville location this doctor's appointment was to had been a round trip there and back, however after being dropped off I along with driver went into the clinic and the clinic to explainthe mix uup and "Tiffany" had been the person to deal with this mess (Poor Girl) however she handled my situation with such professionalism and contacted the Uber for me as I was to stressed to do it myself she even stated to me that if she was unable to get it corrected while on the phone with them that she would call me an Uber under her own account and simply pay for it (I didn't want that) however I had to get home. She talked with the Uber dispatch and explained the situation and how I had ended up at the Woodbridge location when we had just left the Springfield location once all was said and done I between the dispatch and miss Tiffany the results were that another Uber was on it's way to pick me back up with the correct destination input into their system. Although a very long review, I just want others to understand how "Tiffany Asiedu" had took a stressful situation (for me) and handled it with such professionalism and calmness that I wouldn't had expected to come from an employee at Kaiser, She gave me a whole new look about the company after this and now I even recommend the clinic to others for their outstanding staff and professionalism and that they go the extra mile for their patients. A Dr. Cristina Natalia Perez Policarpio came in angry that i was on her chart, visibly frustrated asking how i did it. I simply used kaisers choose a doctor option and picked a random doctor. She shushed and belittled me for talking to loud, i have bad hearing as a result of many childhood ear infections. Then when i asked about adhd, she told me that i shouldn't get an adhd evaluation because "they ask too many questions". Then she asked if i believe in god. I said no i don't. She went on to say i should pray to god because only he can help me. This is abhorrent behavior from a doctor, and kaiser should be very concerned to have that sort of behavior at their facility. I experienced this as inappropriate religious intrusion into medical care and a failure to provide appropriate guidance for a documented neurodevelopmental condition. The encounter contributed to my distrust of doctors and made it harder for me to seek care afterward. This form of behavior should not be legal or tolerated. The event occurred on january 29th 2024. I only hope i am able to still take action against this doctor.

Being new to the area and not having established care with a pediatrician, I asked around for recommendations for somewhere to go. I looked up the different locations for PM Pediatric Urgent Care and had no idea there was one close by to my house. I saw I could pre-register and sign up for a pre-check in time. (Highly recommended this!) When my son and I got there, we parked without difficulty on the side of the building. There were a couple families with their kids there, but we were checked in pretty quickly. The young lady who checked us in was very friendly and efficient. We probably sat in the waiting room for about 5 minutes before getting called back to get weighed and vital signs done. The nurse asked us a few questions about what was going on, swabbed my son for strep, and left out of the room. The NP (Cristina J.) that came in to see my son was so nice and noticed the spots on my son's face almost immediately despite him wearing a mask. I had forgotten to mention them when speaking to the nurse and I told the NP I had noticed them on Wednesday after my son's first vomiting episode. Everything was done so quickly and efficiently. Everyone was so professional and friendly. We were in and out of there in a total of less than 40 minutes. The only thing I wondered about was the paper on the exam table. It seemed pretty clear that the exam table had been wiped down as well as the chairs in the room, but no paper had been pulled on the exam table when there was paper available. Anyway, I would highly recommend PM Pediatric Urgent Care!

The doctor was not a very good communicator (maybe English is her second language?) and did not appear to take my pain seriously. She also confused me by telling me the things she can't do because it was a primary care visit. The next week I waited and there was no call for my lab results. I had to call for them. She said she must've left me a message. She did not. She said all my tests were negative. Meanwhile I'd seen my regular doctor who found out what was wrong (a common health problem) and treated it. My main issue is billing. I was charged a $150 co-pay and my EOBs state I owe nothing. I have been chasing down my refund for months (and have made no progress). They have joined GastroHealth and outsourced their billing to a company who is obviously based in India and it's a nightmare. At this point, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere.
