He stopped by and gave us a quote which was very comparable to other quotes we received. We decided to go with Michael and a few days later (before our scheduled installation date) our boiler/heating system completely broke and we had no hot water. He again stopped by and looked it and offered to try to fix it temporarily. We appreciated the offer but we just waited for the scheduled installation date that we had already set. Michael had said it would take 3 days to install and it took 3 days. He arrived on time every day and worked all day in the very hottest of days. His subcontractor/electricians came on the last day and they were polite and on time. We asked them for their business cards in case we needed future electrical work. The garbage disposal we picked out didn't fit at first, but after several attempts he was able to install it without damaging our cabinets. The previous homeowner left the bathroom sink clogged but after snaking it, everything worked perfectly! The plumber was patient, kind, and kept me updated as he was facing roadblocks. I'm glad he didn't give up on the garbage disposal! We would definitely work with Ford again!

The workers who did the installation were very nice and professional, and I paid $175 for the installation. About a month or so later, the plastic sprayer part began sticking and would stay on. The hose itself was fine. One day I noticed a Cullen Plumbing van at my condo complex and saw that they were already doing work in my building. I left a message explaining the problem and said that if they happened to have time to look at it while they were already there, that would be great, but that it was not an emergency and they could come whenever it was convenient. Marc stopped by my unit that same day and agreed that the plastic sprayer part was not working properly. He asked whether Cullen had purchased the faucet or whether I had. I honestly could not remember at the time because I had been hospitalized with sepsis in December, which had significantly affected my memory, among other things. Marc replaced only the plastic sprayer part. There was no hose replacement, and the part took just a few minutes to swap out. I did not receive a bill at the time. A few months later, while preparing to sell my condo, I was going through my Home Depot account and discovered that I had, in fact, purchased the faucet myself. I wanted to do the right thing, so I contacted Marc and let him know that I had purchased it and told him he should send me a bill for replacing the sprayer part. Imagine my surprise when I received an invoice for $190 -- more than I had originally paid for the entire faucet installation -- for replacing a simple plastic sprayer part that took only minutes, especially since Cullen was already working in my building that day. I had no problem paying a fair and reasonable amount for the part and Marc's time. In fact, I was the one who reached out months later to make sure I paid for it. But $190 for this particular repair feels excessive and, unfortunately, like a quick money grab after I tried to do the honest thing. I'm disappointed because my original experience with the workers was positive. Cullen Plumbing also does a lot of work at the new community I've moved to, but fortunately I've since received a referral to another plumber whom I'll be using in the future.

I cannot speak more highly of Fong and Sullivan. I had a water leak that ended up being due to a…read moreclogged condenser in my HVAC/AC unit which was located on the roof. They already came highly recommended, but when I reached out, they were SO nice. They came out as quickly as they could (most companies told me 2-3 weeks!) but they called me several times to give me updates as to whether they could try to get to me even sooner than my scheduled appointment which was only 1 day after I called! Joe and Corey were truly amazing - firstly, they were incredibly communicative about their ETA. When they arrived, they did a thorough diagnosis of the HVAC unit and even took the time to explain exactly what they were doing and why. They took care of the issue with ease and made a lot of recommendations to prevent future damage. They also offered to look at some of the other AC parts and my AC filter just to make sure I was maintaining everything properly - a service they did not need to do or take more time for. They ended up staying just chatting about best practices and were just about the friendliest repair people I have ever dealt with. I own two properties and have been through SO many bad or iffy contractors and repair people so it's such a relief to find reliable and high quality service providers. I will use Fong and Sullivan every time I have an issue and cannot recommend Joe and Corey enough.

He just recently installed the final touch for a whole home portable backup generator at my home, a new 3/4in gas line basement run to supply the generator (or maybe a deck grill someday), the inspector was very accomodating and approved the work quickly! He has also previously helped with regular maintenance like water heater anode rod replacement and a few gate to ball valve replacements for leaky or seized water valves. Apparently it's "unusual" here in MA to have whole home portable backup power (Costco bargain!), everyone is told a $15k concrete slab generator is the minimum, at least, that is what Castle Electric said to me!
