So imagine my dismay when I look up unexpectedly from my list and catch the son making secret hand signals to the father when they thought I wasnt looking(!!!)... Seriously, what kind of men do that? I pretended not to notice because I dont care what they think of me, i just want them to fix my car. But you know, a smart businessman (instead of making fun of me) would consider me as valuable customer... the BMW 850i is a famously expensive to maintain world-class lemon... So I leave again but I'm starting to think they are just shining me on -and so I decide to call the guy only 5 days later because I still haven't heard anything... and when I get him on the phone he's pissed off at me and its like I'm BOTHERING HIM(!!) So this time, on the phone, I say ok -I'll wait for your call (maybe he just doesnt like my face?) Lol That was 6 weeks ago, im jump-starting my car 4x a times a day, these people are douche bags, lol. my suspension on mini went kaput while driving. had CAA tow me to them. left key and a note…read moreexplaining as it was after hours. they repaired the car about 4-5 days later, but remember no appointment. only issue was the tire that got destroyed had to be changed so we had them put on the summer tires while they were at it changing the finished one. terrible job, two of the tires kept losing air. we took them to a tire changing guy who redid the job and now they're perfect. these guys are fabulous mechanics for minis and I guess BMW as well as other cars. when we called to tell them of the poor tire installation the guy was rude, condescending and a general jerk. bad day? guess so. took no accountability for the poor tire job. refused to admit it. flat out .. no way. so great mechanics. not so good at the tire thing. I'd still recommend them. maybe whoever answered the phone should try listening to the client and not be so darn defensive. sheesh.

So I called the latter for an appointment which they gave me for the next day at 8.30am. Arriving there on time, my thought process is how much time I will spend there and above all, is this going to cost me a fortune. At the reception, the lady was super nice and very professional. She was expecting me, and had all the details of my vehicle and the verification that needs to be done, and asked me to pull my car in. A few minutes later, the mechanic lifted the car up and less than 5 minutes later he had already diagnosed the problem and recommended that he will just remove part of the exhaust and solder another piece, rather than replacing the whole exhaust. He completed the job on the time estimated and at 9.31 am, I was paying the bill and left. It was nowhere I thought it would cost me, and totally amazed by the level of expertise and professionalism of the entire team. They are the muffler experts! Totally professional and above all, very trustworthy. They certainly deserve more than 5 stars This is how all car garages should be!

He answers me "Si (yes)" so i followed up with a "hold much will it cost me to change the manifold" and he replies "$320". Low and behold, as I watched them fix my car, all they did was repair the flex tube which goes to the manifold. After the repair was done, which only took a HALF hour, I asked the mechanic why he did not replace the manifold to which he now replied that the manifold was good. NOW HERE IS THE KICKER....he still wanted to charge me $320. The mechanic then accompanies me to the office where he tells the girl behind the desk that he never said there was an issue with the manifold, another guy that appeared to be more of a mechanic (or a manager) comes to tell me that to replace a manifold is over $500. Then I respond to him, "what is your hourly rate?", the mechanic took 30 minutes and the pipe cant be more that $50. He replies that they work by "job", not by hour and accuses me of not wanting to pay for services that he rendered. He goes further to say that they are human beings and a family business and continues to insinuate that I'm at fault and that I don't want to pay. I explain to the gentlemen that he is not dealing with an idiot. If the mechanic had said he would have simply repaired a flex pipe for $320, I would have never agreed to such ridicules price. I explained that even at $150 hourly rate, plus the cost of the flex pipe, my bill should not be greater than $200. I guess he knew that he could not hold my car for payment because he said "do you want to leave without paying?" and I responded that I was not there to cheat him but did not want to be cheated either. I upped my price to $250 and he charged me $250 plus taxes (my offer included the taxes) but I paid any way. BE WARNED....these people try to come across as honest, BUT THEY ARE ANYTHINHG BUT !!!!!!!
