Very cute place! Love their interior decorator, it just gives you a good vibe like "this will be one great day"! Excellent coffee and nice brunch menu.

M market is such a neat place in downtown Nashville. It feels like a market that should be in Leiper's Fork, but nope it is smack dab in the middle of Cummins Station. They have lots of farmhouse kitchen and home items for sale. They also have a variety of sandwiches, sodas and a coffee bar. I tried the Southwest wrap and it was delicious and fresh. Stuffed with chicken, black beans, corn lettuce and a light sauce. My friend got a Rueben and it was so pretty with marble rye and in the place of sauerkraut they use Chowchow. It's a nice laid back space with shared tables and individual tables upstairs. I highly recommend stopping in!

What a cute little nook! Cummins Station is now a viable area to grab a nosh, refreshment, and meal with the additions of a few new establishments like Coffee Lunch (across the street), sister restaurant M, and M Market. I popped in for the first time the other day to set up my mobile office for some quality time with my laptop and really enjoyed myself. The veggie sandwich that I ordered $7 and coffee were filling and tasty and I was also tempted by the smoothie menu, and To-Go Case filled with fruit, salads, and sandwiches. What I most appreciated was the spacious loft area where I felt like a kid in a tree house as I hunkered down and blasted my in-box. The most impressive thing I encountered was when my cup of Joe was getting cold after a couple of hours, a friendly lady came out of an office area and just casually offered to refill my coffee. I restrained at first but she was said it was "no problem" and went and fetched it for me. Who knew that this place had FREE refills on their coffee? (regular cups of Joe only) Well low and behold, I had a meeting today across the way at M and that doting lady walked in and said hello. When I asked my fellow diner, who this was? She happily told me that she was Jan the owner of M Market and M. I was impressed. Talk about pride in ownership and customer service! Yes, yes... I do believe that I will be returning, many times. A solid sandwich deli counter, which surprisingly, instead of serving sandwiches, gave us wraps. What made it a four instead of three? A cool, bright, airy artsy ambience; Pleasant staff; And very good tasting wraps. For what they are, they got it right. I'd go back if I was in the area and looking for a quick no fuss simple eats.

My wife and I stopped at Little Hats while visiting our daughter in Germantown, and wow, this place…read moredid not disappoint. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sub, and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was super tender, packed with flavor, and the sandwich was huge. I only made it through half and ended up eating the rest later that night. It was just as good the second time around. My wife had the Spicy Italian, and she loved it. The sweet pickles on it really made the sandwich stand out and gave it an awesome flavor. The atmosphere was really cool and felt very authentic. They also have a grocery section where you can buy authentic Italian sauces, pasta noodles, and other items, which was a nice touch. The only thing that surprised us was the fountain drinks being $5 each, but they do come in a souvenir cup. If you're looking for an amazing sub sandwich, I highly recommend Little Hats. The food was fantastic, the staff was friendly, and Germantown itself is a great area to walk around and explore. There are tons of cool places nearby. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Nashville. I'd give this a 5 out of 5 stars.

We went to the Germantown location, which has a huge, really nice patio and a bar area. We ordered at the counter and didn't get any drinks, but I definitely want to come back and spend more time checking out the retail section because it looked great. I got the chicken Parm sandwich, and while it was good, I felt like it needed a little more flavor. I'm probably a little picky with Italian delis since I'm from New England and have had some really great options, so my expectations were high. I think I need to try another sandwich next time. My sister got the soup, and it came in a big bowl and was really good. Overall, everything was solid, but I did think it was a little expensive for a takeaway deli. We spent around $40, which felt a little high for what we got. I will definitely come back for the patio. It seemed dog friendly, and I'm always looking for new spots to bring my pup. The atmosphere is great, and I'd like to come back to try more of the menu.

I am absolutely sure that in the hour my friend and I were waiting, six other other customers were seated ahead of us. Standing for an hour is okay but only if they're actually taking the customers in order. But then we were seated and with the small menu, I was able to order. A few minutes later, Big Al shouts, "Does anyone want a cinnamon bun?" and I have never been closer to taking a walk from my keto diet. But I was good and only drooled a little watching the couple sitting next to us split theirs. It smelled so good. Brunch arrived and we've now been at Big Al's for 90 minutes. I had selected the day's special, the FOUR egg steak omelet which I had with peppers and onions *filled* the plate. Sloppy and tasty and loaded with probably half a pound of sliced steak. I only took one small bit of my biscuit - fluffy and light but heavy and dense. Delicious. My friend had a concoction that I can only call The Coronary Plate: Fried eggs, fried potatoes, fried chicken. Half of a fried chicken that looked better than anything I've ever seen at KFC or Popeye's or my own beloved Bojangles. Crispy, slightly burned but a light batter and a juicy center. Yeah, get that. Big Al's is an anachronism. The food is cooked by hand, it's delicious and it stands halfway down the block of a completely residential neighborhood. You'll be driving the last couple of blocks and wondering, what am I getting in to? Trust me, they're probably open. Pro tip: Try the gravy. It's spicy! Turnover is quick, so even when they are at capacity, and the waiting list looks daunting, you should still put your name down. We were told the chalkboard has the specials, and shrimp and grits are available on the weekends. I loved my shrimps and grits. The grits were so hearty and buttery, and the shrimp had a good amount of spice. We also got the sweet potato chorizo hash, which had the perfect amount of slight heat and special spice blend. (The spices looked red, but I don't know what they were other than paprika??) Both dishes came with biscuits, generously buttered. We were told the biscuits and gravy were special, because the chef does a brown gravy instead of the white gravy. We felt like we had enough food, but if I am ever back in town, I'd try this dish. You'll want to walk off this meal, but don't miss it if you're in Nashville!
