Unbelievable find. An oasis in the desert. Door opens a happy lady comes out with her friends and sees us looking at menu, she says "Go here. You will love it". She described a few dishes. Loved the French toast and Turkish coffee. Not sure but loving her passionate suggestion we went in. It was like walking into a cafe in Zurich Paris or Rome. Server was professional neat and polite. Menu was extensive. The classy wood paneling and nice tables were memorable. I ordered a crepe Florentine. It was savory type. It was amazing. My daughter ordered a more traditional sandwich and salad. She loved it too. There was breakfast lunch and dinner selections. Great desserts on display and being served table-side. Beautiful little cafe that is reminiscent of being in Europe with the chandeliers and bistro style tables. We both had the mixed berry crepes, which were delicious. They also made good espresso drinks. The reason I am giving 3 stars are for 3 main reasons. A) The front of the cafe smells like the sewer - incredibly unappetizing when you walk in or out. B) Our waitress messed up our order. She forgot to bring a Diet Coke. When we questioned her for it, she brought a regular coke instead of a Diet Coke. She then left the regular Coke and still charged us for the Diet Coke. C) There were 4 open tables around us. I had brought a chair next to us for us to put our purses on (they would not stay hanging on the bistro chair due to the rounded back). She told me she needed that chair "because she was planning on filling all the tables." I indulged myself with one of their Belgian waffles with mango toasted coconut. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet and you get a little crunch from the toasted coconut. I have heard such great things about Cafe Intermezzo and have always wanted to try it out. After leaving an event at Bridgestone, we finally decided to stop by for some dessert! It definitely exceeded my expectations. We were able to get a table right away, and when you walk in, there's a big dessert display case which is always exciting. Our waiter was extremely nice and was able to explain some questions we had about the menu. I ended up getting a cappuccino that had hazelnut spread (Nutella) in it, and it was fantastic! We also ordered the hot chocolate Berlin which was the same thing as me just in hot chocolate form. That was also incredible!! Adorable little coffee shop which is very close, in walking distance to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Came over after a great day spent at the music museum and had some amazing coffee, which is one of the best I've had locally. My chicken florentine crepe was really good and a large portion. I could have finished the entire thing but showed restraint so I wasn't too full.
