Oof. A swing and a miss, guys. I hope that I experienced Leaf 'n Brew on an off day. We all have 'em. It happens. This business has been up and running for over a year. It goes to show how much SoBro is growing that it completely escaped my radar. The building seems to get a lot of foot traffic from construction workers and nearby office goers. I have to imagine that as more businesses populate the area, more options like LnB will pop up. This is a good thing. The small food court offers the usual grab and go choices that suit the area. I came here to meet with a friend/business associate of mine and thought I made the perfect choice for a quick, casual, convenient-location spot. With a gluten-sensitive gut, grab and go can be a bit of a hurdle. Sandwiches, wraps and burritos are usually out of the question. Knowing this, I did my research and decided on a strawberry salad. Gluten-free and perfect for summer, right? Unfortunately, LnB was out of strawberries... so no salad. I mean, I could have ordered it but what's the point without the star ingredient? Undeterred, I asked what make-your-own salad options I had to work with. Unfortunately, many of them were unavailable. A bit embarrassed (I'd picked this spot and had my friend come from The Gulch and meet me), I thought I'd have a liquid lunch and order a smoothie. Again, not all of the ingredients were in house. C'mon, guys. I get it. Stuff happens. But, work with me here. Three strikes and I was out. I settled upon an omelet and bottled tea. I asked for the omelet without the special seasoning, as I couldn't confirm what was in said seasoning. What I received was not an omelet. I received a mess of eggs, tomatoes, salt, pepper, and onion. It wasn't folded. It wasn't scrambled. Honestly, I'd never seen eggs like this. It was pretty unappealing. How can you mess up eggs? Oy. And when I was handed the (metal) platter for said eggs, it was screaming hot and I burned my hand. No warning given. I'm guessing this was a perfect storm of mishaps but... yeah. Not the best experience. I'll post a photo of the eggs. Maybe someone else can identify the preparation?

Great location in downtown Nashville, located in a cafeteria/food hall type establishment. Perfect place for a quick bite, I came here after flying in from Dallas and needed something quick to eat. Only complaint is that they did not have water available from their soda fountain and we had to ask another restaurant, and it was very warm water.

This place is inside a food court, which is neither a plus or minus, it gives you options. I came for coffee, but My cappuccino was a huge let down. I would say it wasn't even espresso, or it was just a little coffee topped up with scalding hot water. No foam, and not very milky. Food was better. Steak wrap was tasty, egg tacos were solid.

Pathetic excuse for a breakfast place. Menu says fresh bagels and pastries but the pastry case is completely empty. Ordered a "famous chicken biscuit" and it is a frozen chicken patty on a crappy biscuit. Breakfast potatoes have no seasoning and had to ask for silverware. Please do not go to this place. McDonald's serves a better breakfast for way cheaper.

This is supposed to be an omelette.

We ordered to go. The omelette came as overcooked scrambled eggs. The other breakfast sandwich was soggy. The latte and coffee was good. I wouldn't order there again.

Ordered take out, not great. Soggy. Seems like the Mac and cheese comes out if a bag.

The food is excellent, the fries seasoning is some of the best I have had.

We've been to The Finch three times now--twice sitting at the bar and once at a table. We…read moredefinitely prefer the bar, but I think that's just because we're bar people! The bar has two hidden TVs that you can only see when you sit at the bar, which is such a cool touch. It keeps the space feeling upscale without sacrificing the ability to catch a game. The overall ambiance is great, and the music is always at the perfect volume for an easy conversation. The drinks have been consistently excellent. We've tried both cocktails and wine, and everything has been delicious. The wine is a little overpriced in our opinion, but it was so good that I'm glad we still ordered it! On our most recent visit, we started with the burrata. It was very good, but I do wish there had been more sauce and more cantaloupe. The sauce felt more like an accent than something that really tied the dish together. That said, the perfect bite was definitely the burrata with the prosciutto and cantaloupe! For our entrees, Jonathan ordered the pork chop, and I had the piri piri chicken. Both came with broccolini and patatas bravas. I was expecting traditional Spanish-style patatas bravas, so when whole baby potatoes showed up, I was initially a little disappointed. Don't let that fool you, though--these potatoes were incredible!!! Crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and packed with flavor! They ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal! My piri piri chicken was fantastic! The portion was much larger than I expected, and the piri piri sauce served on the side was absolutely lick-the-plate good. I found myself dipping the potatoes and broccolini in it because it was just that delicious. Piri piri isn't something you come across often in Nashville, and The Finch absolutely nails it--and at a really reasonable price. Jonathan's pork chop was cooked perfectly with great flavor. It wasn't an over-the-top, show-stopping dish, but for around $30--including both sides--at a more upscale restaurant, it's hard to beat the value. One more recommendation: get the volcano rock shrimp. We had it on a previous visit, and we still talk about it! It's easily one of our favorite dishes we've had here. The Finch has been consistently good every time we've visited, and that's what keeps bringing us back! Great food, great drinks, a fun atmosphere, and solid value for the quality. We'll definitely be back again!

Visited Finch while exploring The Gulch neighborhood. I didn't have a reservation, but I was able…read moreto get seated right away, which was nice. I really liked the decor, the space was very pretty and had a great atmosphere. I ordered the blackened redfish. It felt very heavily seasoned , almost like the seasoning was the main flavor, and I couldn't really taste anything else. The seasoning was delicious, but I would have liked to experience more of the actual dish and ingredients. The sauce was good, and the mashed potatoes underneath were a nice touch. Service was okay, although I would have appreciated being checked on a little more often. I also asked for a cup of sparkling water but received and was charged for a large bottle, even though I was dining alone.
