I made an appointment through their website, which seemed very convenient. You can select your services and it even tells you approximately how long your appointment will take. Unfortunately, that's where the convenience ended. We arrived on time for our 11:45 AM appointment for a pedicure and Gel-X full set. My daughter was taken right away for her pedicure, which took about 25 minutes. After that, she was told to sit and wait for her nail appointment. Thirty minutes later, no one had even started her nails. When I asked what was going on, I explained that we were on a tight schedule because my daughter had a hair appointment afterward for her prom. I was told that all the technicians were busy and that walk-in customers were taking longer than expected. So apparently walk-ins take priority over customers with appointments. What bothered me most wasn't even the delay--it was the complete lack of concern. Not one person apologized or acknowledged that our time was being wasted. Had it not been my daughter's prom day, we would have left. If appointments don't matter and walk-ins come first, what's the point of scheduling? I really like the service here. I have been an acrylic girly my whole life and at this place I tried builder gel and I haven't gone back to acrylic so obviously I really like it and I'm glad that this place chose to do it instead of acrylic because I don't think they offer acrylic. It's much quicker and the service is so much faster because there's so many people working. I will say that with so many people working it sometimes downgrade the quality of the nails because maybe some of them don't have as much experience because the people who did my Halloween nails painted the green over the black and didn't realize that it faded the color green because you can't paint on top of black so my nails weren't as vibrant as they could've been which was a downside. But I will say, even though there's a few complaints it's not enough to stop going. I also really like how big the store is and how many seats there are because it makes everything move quicker. My nails used to take four hours at other places and now it takes two, which is a big upgrade because it saves me like half my day. read more

I gave M Nail Bar three separate chances because it came recommended by friend who visited when they first opened. Unfortunately, each visit was disappointing, and after seeing the same issues repeatedly, I can confidently say I will never return. Over the course of three visits, I had three different nail technicians - Ken, William, and Chase and every experience was poor. None of them demonstrated the level of skill I would expect from a professional nail salon. On one visit, I had to ask for my nails to be redone because the work was so uneven. The shaping was sloppy, the filing was inconsistent, the polish wasn't applied evenly, and nail polish was left all over the skin around my fingers. One of my biggest concerns was that the technicians consistently left a noticeable gap between the polish and my cuticles. When I politely asked that the polish be applied closer to the cuticle, I was met with attitude. On one occasion, the technician actually flung my hand while working, which I found incredibly rude and unprofessional. The customer service is just as bad as the nail work. From the reception to the technicians, the overall experience felt dismissive and unwelcoming. I also observed other customers having issues during my visits, so it didn't seem like my experience was an isolated incident. To make matters worse, the pricing is misleading. I was charged for a "cut down" when I simply requested that my nails be filed. Then, when I paid with my debit card, they added a surcharge. I had to argue with them and threaten to report the surcharge before it was removed. In NY it is illegal for business to assess a surcharge on a debit card transactions, even if it is posted. Debit cards are required to be treated like cash. I think the complimentary drink and modern décor (which may attract folks) create a nice first impression, but aesthetics can't make up for poor workmanship, poor customer service, and questionable billing practices. In my opinion, you're paying for the appearance of luxury rather than receiving quality service. I've been getting my nails done for decades, so I know what professional nail care and good customer service look like. This salon missed the mark every single time. Three visits, three technicians, and three disappointing experiences were more than enough. I would not recommend M Nail Bar to anyone looking for quality nail services and respectful customer care. There are far better salons that value their customers and take pride in their work. People STOP patronizing business that do NOT respect you! read more

I like the way my nails turned out, but I will never return to this place ever again. There are too many other salons that offer great customer service, fair prices and excellent work for me to settle for this one after the experience I had. I rarely write reviews, but I honestly think this salon could benefit from some constructive criticism. First off, the customer service was... lacking--especially from my nail tech. He worked like he was competing in the Nail Olympics: rushed, rough, and seemingly laser-focused on breaking a personal record. I asked for a gel-x removal, and before even checking the length of my natural nails underneath, he clipped them all the way down to the skin. Then after filing and sawing, he roughly slapped my hand to dust me off instead of using the brush every other salon seems to have discovered. With my hands still covered in powder, he immediately started brushing on whatever the first manicure step was supposed to be. Maybe that's just their method--I don't know--but it felt more like speed was the priority, not the customer. To make matters worse, I mentioned beforehand that one of my nails was split and sensitive. He nodded, seemed to understand... and then promptly buffed and shaved it down just as aggressively as the rest. Throughout the process, he kept telling me to "relax" my fingers. I've never been told that at any other salon, which to me says the interaction was clearly tense and uncomfortable. My biggest piece of advice: please prioritize customer service over speed. I'd happily pay more for a salon that cares about customer retention instead of racing through appointments. Oh, and one more thing--ambiance matters. There was no music, no relaxing background vibe. Are you ready for the 411? Here we go...I have been out the country just to come back and lose my nail tech as she has moved to another location. M Nail Bar & Lash was recommended by a few friends so I tried it. The first time I went I was impressed with the ambiance and the aesthetics. My pedicure was amazing and I had no complaints. I got my nails done and it was fair as the tech appeared tense as well as rushed. This was an "ehhhh" on the first visit. The second experience was MUCH better. My nails were done by Star, who was incredibly pleasant, professional, and clearly very talented. She took her time and her experience really showed in the quality of her work. I was very pleased with how my nails turned out and will definitely be returning to see her again. Highly recommend asking for Star! I believe this salon needs more techs like Star. The customer service can be better if they spoke more to the customers and was more engaging. Also, they need to figure out a way of letting people know when they are eligible for a free drink without having to ask for it. Also why is the front desk receptionist so unfriendly both on the phone and in person? There are several other areas they should be focusing on to make the visit even more pleasurable. read more

I was simply pointed to a chair with no welcome or guidance. When I asked for help choosing a nail color to match what I had on, the technician barely looked and gave no real assistance. I also want to share something important: I have a neurological condition from a past stroke that causes my foot to move involuntarily. I explained this and simply asked her to hold my foot while working. Instead of accommodating me, she repeatedly told me to "stop it" and even said I was "scaring her." That response felt unprofessional and insensitive. There was no effort to make me comfortable, no explanation of services, and none of the relaxing elements you'd expect: no massage, no attention to care. When I raised concerns, I was told I should have asked for additional services, which wasn't true. I was never offered anything to begin with. I ended up leaving after the pedicure and skipped the manicure entirely. For contrast, I went across the street and one block over to Tip Top Nail Pro and had a completely different experience. My manicure with Tu was excellent, and more importantly, I felt respected, cared for, and valued as a customer. I won't be returning to M Nail and Bar. I had the opportunity to experience my first nail salon in Brooklyn . I found M Nail Bar & Lash on TikTok. I researched and found the convenience of the salon having a private parking lot with other retail stores . That was a plus because parking in NY is crazy . I loved the ambiance of the salon however I'm not sure if I will place this Salon as a " must try" only because of my experience . I felt like my nail technician was rushing and was not truly listening to my needs . It was like she was easily distracted . In addition, after my pedicure was finished, I was asked to sit in another area for my manicure which I understood however there was a turn off because their were other nail technicians that was sitting around next to me laughing as I was seeking information from them . I really like the work. that they do in the salon but their pricing is a bit all over the place and its not transparent. I never know the price of my nails until I am at the register. I went in for a fill-in, I have no tips on my nails. I asked for a basic light pink polish and I brought my own chrome powder to put over the polish. When I got to the register my total was about $75. The receipt indicated that I was charged $50 for a fill-in, $5.00 to fix a nail, and $15.00 for a chrome design. I inquired about why I had been charged to fix a nail if I don't have tips. The provider told me that it was because he had to file my nails extra. This was not advised during the service. Additionally, what constitutes an extra file job during a filling. I was already annoyed that they charged me $15 to use my own chrome powder on my nails. I don't mind paying but $15 seems excessive, the powder itself only cost $5. read more

I had to file my own toes and once I left I noticed he didn't paint my toes properly. It's unfair to charge customers all this money and we receive bad service. Total hot mess! Three people ahead of me for my gel manicure so they sold me on a pedicure while I waited. I explained that I wanted a basic pedicure but I will add a 10 minute foot massage. Not good at all. The water was cold so I asked for some hot water..turned it on for 30 seconds. The man also convinced me to get a callous remover...ok. I've had this multiple times before and it usually takes a bit more time and work. Not this time. On and off in seconds next up was when they bring the polish over and I explained again...no gel!
