M Nail Bar & Lash was recommended by a few friends so I tried it. The first time I went I was impressed with the ambiance and the aesthetics. My pedicure was amazing and I had no complaints. I got my nails done and it was fair as the tech appeared tense as well as rushed. This was an "ehhhh" on the first visit. The second experience was MUCH better. My nails were done by Star, who was incredibly pleasant, professional, and clearly very talented. She took her time and her experience really showed in the quality of her work. I was very pleased with how my nails turned out and will definitely be returning to see her again. Highly recommend asking for Star! I believe this salon needs more techs like Star. The customer service can be better if they spoke more to the customers and was more engaging. Also, they need to figure out a way of letting people know when they are eligible for a free drink without having to ask for it. Also why is the front desk receptionist so unfriendly both on the phone and in person? There are several other areas they should be focusing on to make the visit even more pleasurable. read more

I really like the service here. I have been an acrylic girly my whole life and at this place I tried builder gel and I haven't gone back to acrylic so obviously I really like it and I'm glad that this place chose to do it instead of acrylic because I don't think they offer acrylic. It's much quicker and the service is so much faster because there's so many people working. I will say that with so many people working it sometimes downgrade the quality of the nails because maybe some of them don't have as much experience because the people who did my Halloween nails painted the green over the black and didn't realize that it faded the color green because you can't paint on top of black so my nails weren't as vibrant as they could've been which was a downside. But I will say, even though there's a few complaints it's not enough to stop going. I also really like how big the store is and how many seats there are because it makes everything move quicker. My nails used to take four hours at other places and now it takes two, which is a big upgrade because it saves me like half my day. read more

I like the way my nails turned out, but I will never return to this place ever again. There are too many other salons that offer great customer service, fair prices and excellent work for me to settle for this one after the experience I had. I rarely write reviews, but I honestly think this salon could benefit from some constructive criticism. First off, the customer service was... lacking--especially from my nail tech. He worked like he was competing in the Nail Olympics: rushed, rough, and seemingly laser-focused on breaking a personal record. I asked for a gel-x removal, and before even checking the length of my natural nails underneath, he clipped them all the way down to the skin. Then after filing and sawing, he roughly slapped my hand to dust me off instead of using the brush every other salon seems to have discovered. With my hands still covered in powder, he immediately started brushing on whatever the first manicure step was supposed to be. Maybe that's just their method--I don't know--but it felt more like speed was the priority, not the customer. To make matters worse, I mentioned beforehand that one of my nails was split and sensitive. He nodded, seemed to understand... and then promptly buffed and shaved it down just as aggressively as the rest. Throughout the process, he kept telling me to "relax" my fingers. I've never been told that at any other salon, which to me says the interaction was clearly tense and uncomfortable. My biggest piece of advice: please prioritize customer service over speed. I'd happily pay more for a salon that cares about customer retention instead of racing through appointments. Oh, and one more thing--ambiance matters. There was no music, no relaxing background vibe. Instead, I spent the whole appointment listening to the tech in the chair next to me having a loud phone call while kids screamed on speakerphone. Not exactly an enjoyable experience. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at M Nail and Bar on Ralph Ave. today. I came in expecting a full, relaxing salon treatment, but from the moment I arrived, the service felt dismissive. I was simply pointed to a chair with no welcome or guidance. When I asked for help choosing a nail color to match what I had on, the technician barely looked and gave no real assistance. I also want to share something important: I have a neurological condition from a past stroke that causes my foot to move involuntarily. I explained this and simply asked her to hold my foot while working. Instead of accommodating me, she repeatedly told me to "stop it" and even said I was "scaring her." That response felt unprofessional and insensitive. There was no effort to make me comfortable, no explanation of services, and none of the relaxing elements you'd expect: no massage, no attention to care. When I raised concerns, I was told I should have asked for additional services, which wasn't true. I was never offered anything to begin with. I ended up leaving after the pedicure and skipped the manicure entirely. For contrast, I went across the street and one block over to Tip Top Nail Pro and had a completely different experience. My manicure with Tu was excellent, and more importantly, I felt respected, cared for, and valued as a customer. I won't be returning to M Nail and Bar. This was THE WORST pedicure I ever received. Lasted all of 10mins. No lotion, no massage, i had to tell him to polish all the way to the top. Everything just rushed. Im so sorry my usual spot closed. Don't go here if you want acrylic they offer acrylic but then get mad if you ask for it; They want you to get builder gel. It was Chris in particular who did my nails. I def won't be back here; I paid and left because I didn't want to cause a scene. Mind you I came in there wanting designs and a pedicure also I just left with this. I visited here to get an SNS manicure for a birthday celebration. This was my first time coming to this establishment since it opened. The guy doing my manicure was nice but I wasn't impressed with the quality of the work. The nail salon is very nice inside and it has a relaxing vibe but the quality of work was mediocre to me. The visual appeal and novelty of the beverage are charming; however, the experience at the supermarket leaves much to be desired, as does the level of service provided. This marks my third visit, and I am quite dissatisfied, particularly after spending $90 on a manicure and pedicure. While the pedicure was satisfactory, the manicure was not up to standard. The nail technician appeared distracted, engaging in conversation with another nail tech throughout my entire visit, which negatively impacted the quality of his work (please refer to the attached images). If you seek a tranquil experience, this establishment is not recommended. If you seek quality work, this might not be it. I had the opportunity to experience my first nail salon in Brooklyn . I found M Nail Bar & Lash on TikTok. I researched and found the convenience of the salon having a private parking lot with other retail stores . That was a plus because parking in NY is crazy . I loved the ambiance of the salon however I'm not sure if I will place this Salon as a " must try" only because of my experience . I felt like my nail technician was rushing and was not truly listening to my needs . It was like she was easily distracted . In addition, after my pedicure was finished, I was asked to sit in another area for my manicure which I understood however there was a turn off because their were other nail technicians that was sitting around next to me laughing as I was seeking information from them . It was as if I wasn't taking seriously . I also noticed there weren't any fans at the table . Each salon I've came across always had fans at the table to dry your nails in a faster demand . My nail technician gave me her card to return however if I do return, I will like to switch out my nail technician to get a better feel for the place . I really like the work. that they do in the salon but their pricing is a bit all over the place and its not transparent. I never know the price of my nails until I am at the register. I went in for a fill-in, I have no tips on my nails. I asked for a basic light pink polish and I brought my own chrome powder to put over the polish. When I got to the register my total was about $75. The receipt indicated that I was charged $50 for a fill-in, $5.00 to fix a nail, and $15.00 for a chrome design. I inquired about why I had been charged to fix a nail if I don't have tips. The provider told me that it was because he had to file my nails extra. This was not advised during the service. Additionally, what constitutes an extra file job during a filling. I was already annoyed that they charged me $15 to use my own chrome powder on my nails. I don't mind paying but $15 seems excessive, the powder itself only cost $5. read more

Employees like Andy will make this business fall apart! He is rude and unprofessional and doesn't know how to do a proper pedicure. I had to file my own toes and once I left I noticed he didn't paint my toes properly. It's unfair to charge customers all this money and we receive bad service. I will not be coming back here to do my toes. They will push you into doing a $60+ pedicure but their staff doesn't have the proper training and etiquette to give you what you pay for. read more

I came in and asked for an acrylic set the lady told me $60, I sat in the chair the man started doing builder gel on my nails, knowing I had limited time after questioning him, I just let him continue. At the end of the service, the nails were significantly shorter than I wanted, the shape was inconsistent, then when I went up to pay the lady told me to pay basically $80 I was so confused to how all that extra was added, she tried to convince me she took stuff off which ended up being $2 I just payed and left, definitely not worth $80or even $70 read more

Impressive start but unable to keep that energy going. I wanted to like this place, I did like it. But slowly the customer service and cleanliness of the establishment is not what I saw in the beginning. There seems to be a steady stream of customers but a decline in the upkeep. I have been to 100s of nail salons and this place was the first I've been to where the regular pedicure offered no massage, barely any blue salt in bath and the whole thing lasted 10 min and cost 30 dollars!!!! Total hot mess! Three people ahead of me for my gel manicure so they sold me on a pedicure while I waited. I explained that I wanted a basic pedicure but I will add a 10 minute foot massage. Not good at all. The water was cold so I asked for some hot water..turned it on for 30 seconds. The man also convinced me to get a callous remover...ok. I've had this multiple times before and it usually takes a bit more time and work. Not this time. On and off in seconds next up was when they bring the polish over and I explained again...no gel! Language was an issue but he understood the upsale. Brings me over to dry my toes...I carried all my things with me ( not to sound like a snob, but I usually tell the ladies in my place not to worry about carrying my sneakers) I sit down with someone else's used Starbucks cup and champagne leftovers and within 2 minutes he's back showing me my bill and asks how I want to pay!!Now I'm losing my patience...$65 later and I explain that I originally came for a manicure but did the pedicure to kill time!!
