The customer service is A1. The decor is very nice and well put together within the facility. They do for you drinks as you get your nails or feet done. It's different variety even alcoholic beverages. The bathroom is clean as well. They do try to maintain a clean facility. It's always crowded, rarely empty unless you come early in the morning. Stopped in as I have been working out of town and needed to get my nails done. They had an electronic check in. There was about a 20minute wait as they were short staffed today but being it is a holiday; I didn't mind waiting. This place has been open about a year and a half but it's huge; it's clean and there are over 200 nail polish colors and they are known for some good designs. I had Kathy and she was great. First time the charm. Every time I visit Gateway I drive past this nail salon. This location is fairly new and wanted to get a pedicure today. First, the location is very spacious. Tons of room. Very clean location. Like the color coordination of this place. Very neutral. The staff they are nice and treated me kind. The nail tech for my pedicure nails she was kind and nice. They do have a bar which I think is crazy. Hey, whatever encourages them to market their business better than do it. There is a drink menu by the way which is the first thing they give you when you are seated. I don't drink and won't be able to tell you if the drinks were good or not. They do not have a nail polish selection like your typical nail salons. They have setup these books which they give to customers to look through them. It is a large bi-fold book with all the nail colors to pick choose from. Very organized rather than having a wall setup with a bunch of nail polishes. The pedicure chairs which are many all aligned towards the back are very comfortable and they are massaging chairs while you relax. Brand new massaging chairs. When you pick your nail color by the book the staff will bring it out already in its own little plastic box. A brand new nail polish ready to be used on you. What they do with the nail polish afterwards won't know. I only went in for a pedicure. Ordered the Classic Pedicure which included the pedicure, nail color, scrub, and a 5 minute foot massage. Again, there is a menu for that too. The location this afternoon was slow. There were about a total of 10 people there. Why do I bring this up? Because I felt that my pedicure was rushed. Was not busy at all and my pedicure was completed in 20 minutes. Is that a good or bad thing? Maybe. Maybe not. My pedicure nails were not buffed and a nail file was not used which is a bit insane to me given the fact every time I have gotten a pedicure a buffer and a file is used. The service wasn't bad, but it was rushed which made no sense given that the establishment was slow. Why are we rushing when only walk-ins are accepted? This establishment has an array of services from pedicures, manicure, gel, nail extensions, wax, and even a bar. I doubt I will return again, but at least I was able to get a pedicure peacefully. read more

I am extremely dissatisfied with this service. My acrylic set is only two weeks old and is already lifting, separating, and uneven. There are visible gaps along the sides and cuticle area, and the structure is poorly built. This is unacceptable for a full acrylic set. I returned a week ago to have them corrected by the same technician, John, who originally did them. Instead of properly fixing the acrylic, he attempted to apply gel instead, even though I paid for acrylic. I had to insist that the work be redone correctly. The result was still poorly executed, and the nails continue to lift and fall apart. This is not normal wear after two weeks. The quality of work and the handling of the correction were both disappointing. I paid for professional service and did not receive it. read more

I first heard of " gateway Nail & Lash" on TikTok. The reel video influenced me to do more research in check out their website . I also googled the distance and the location is convenient . I LOVE convenience lol I do most of my grocery and retail shopping in the Gateway area so this was perfect . When I entered Gateway Nails & Lash, I was impressed by size; large, spacious, and accommodating with updating technology with the sign in . I came in for a spa gel pedicure and gel manicure . My name was called within 10 mins despite the active atmosphere . As I was seated in my spa chair and presented with the menu of the service . I chose a Queen spa pedicure . Immediately afterwards, I received a drink menu . I was surprised that a whiskey sour was listed . This place has a full bar and I like it . In addition, I was giving complimentary snacks with their service . I had three drinks, Dorito chips, and fruit snacks . My nail technician name is Ken . He was pleasant and good with my 20 min leg and foot massage . I love a good spa chair massage . I truly enjoyed my service with Gateway Nails & Lash and I will definitely return to stay consistent with my mani/pedis . read more

The only reason I am leaving one star (besides the fact that zero is not an option) is because the nail tech who did my toes did a great job, my pedicure actually came out very cute. Unfortunately, my acrylic nails were a completely different story. I showed my nail tech an inspiration picture before we started. The photo was green, but I very clearly told him I wanted the design in burgundy. The inspo included chrome and cat-eye details. I always go into a salon with more than one idea in case the first one isn't possible, and I have no problem paying for a design if it's something I'm asking for. However, he never once told me that he couldn't do the design or that he didn't have the colors. During the prep process he was very rough, and it hurt. I didn't pull my hand away, but I was clearly wincing and making faces because of the pain. He didn't slow down or check in... he just kept going. When it came to shaping, my pinkies actually came out cute, but the rest were just okay, and both pointer fingers were very crooked. I pointed this out, and he had to remove the tip from one nail and attempt to reshape it. The other one he only reshaped, but both still came out crooked. Later he showed me the cat-eye options, and there was no burgundy at all. I asked if there were more colors because I had said from the beginning that I wanted burgundy. He said there weren't. At that point I was frustrated but tried to work with him and asked for regular burgundy gel instead. He grabbed one color without showing other options, and I just agreed because by then I had already been there almost 2.5 hours. He then tried to follow the inspo picture by adding chrome, but all the lines on my nails are shaky and uneven. When I saw it, I honestly wanted to give up, but I stayed because I thought it could still be fixed. Unfortunately, he never tried to correct it. The salon itself is very big and looks beautiful, but the entire time I felt like he was rushing me to get me out of the chair and move to the next client, even though the appointment ended up taking almost three hours. The place was packed the whole time. When he got to the flowers, he really didn't even try to match the design. He even showed a coworker and asked me, "It's cute, right?" At that point I just said yes because I was already upset and only had two nails left. If he couldn't do the design, that would have been completely fine, but he never told me that. By the last nail, I asked him to just paint it a solid color because he struggled so much with the flower design. I paid $140 for a French gel pedicure and acrylic nails, and I have honestly never been this unhappy with a set of nails. I kept them on hoping they would grow on me, but now my left pointer finger is swollen, bruised, and painful to the touch. I felt pain and burning during the appointment, but I assumed it was just the acrylic tightening while drying. Now my natural nail is lifting and the finger is purple. I have attached photos of: the nails I received, the inspiration picture, and the bruised/lifted finger This place looks luxurious and offers complimentary drinks, which definitely draws you in, but unfortunately my experience was terrible. read more

Today is Wednesday 4/09 and I came into this facility Saturday 4/05 was here for a refill and gell manicure and pedicure . Not even a week and my nails look like this There's no reason my hand should look like this in just a few days for a brand new facility that's use "quality polish " It was my first and last time here and Paul was my artist . I've gone to gateway nails & lash twice & I will be back. I really love the way they decorated the space it's so open and inviting. I saw Julia both times I've gone for geo fill ins & I strongly recommend her! She's so kind and she makes good suggestions and recreates the nail designs I save from IG. My first pedicure was with David and he really did a grease job too. They offer sangria, mimosas- really whatever you want. I've gotten pretty lucky with parking because I go when they open. I came in with my sister who was getting a fill and all I needed was a gel manicure. I was told there was 2 people ahead of me. I then watched 3 people come in after me and be seated immediately. At the same time I witnessed 4 employees sitting around doing nothing. About 30 mins in I went back to the counter and asked how many people were ahead of me I again was told 2 people were ahead of me. I then told her never mind I don't want your services. read more

The wait time was extremely long. My nails are lumpy and uneven. They only offered certain people drinks. Why would the owners be at the front desk? They don't know a thing about managing a counter. I walked in during opening week to get a nail fixed that broke. The place is beautiful and clean. The nail tech immediately put a new tip on top of the acrylic. He didn't take the acrylic off of my nail like you are supposed to. I let him get all the way to painting to see if he was going to fix it. My nail looked so bad I had to tell him. His excuse was he didn't want to start from scratch because it would weaken my nail. Not only did he give me so much attitude but the one nail he fixed didn't match my nails, wrong size, wrong length and shape. My service was not good. I waited about a half hour to be assigned a tech, when the tech was assigned I explained to him that I wanted a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The gel manicure that i had on prior needed to be removed but not with the drill, he didn't understand what i was saying so his colleague told him, he then got upset and started to act as if I was annoying him. He then went to who I guess is the owner, and got reassigned to someone else. Then a new person was assigned to me I explained to this person what i expected that he use regular nail file to remove the top coat and apply cotton with Acetone and foil to remove the gel, he said that they did not have foil and I should put my hands in the Acetone to remove the gel. He then handed me the nail file and I removed the top coat myself. He then started my pedicure clipped my to nails, shaped them, but did not buff them. The polish was not painted well. He then began to hand me the tool so i can try to scrape the gel off, i asked if im doing the work am i getting a discount. He then came to see if the gel was soft enough to come off but was scraping really hard. Another consumer then tried to tell her tech what I wanted and he disregarded her. I did my nails done they are half scraped off when i left. I not get offered my drink, when I was leaving and mentioned this the owner then said I could have it now, I declined. Expensive doesn't mean better here! The tech rushed my pedicure. While I'm in the chair , I can feel it, like he had somewhere else to be. Come to find out him and his wife work here and they had to go pick up their kid. Like why would they pair me with someone who had limited time if they care about customer experience and end results?!?!. The manicure was rushed because of course I got the husband and wife duo with the kid at the babysitter to be picked up. He completely cut my massage time down to nothing. She didn't even put lotion on my hands, soaked my hand in cold water for 20 seconds during the manicure. These are little things that techs skip but it's also disrespectful of customers payment because I still have to pay even though the experience was whack. As a new place they need to understand who is available and make sure they are available for the entire time services need rendering. Nice touch with the drink and snack options but clearly it's built into the price so it's not really complimentary. I wouldn't be back any time soon. read more
