I am very lucky and grateful that my neighbor Steve referred Inner Joel Miranda and his crew to me to create a fantastic space in my backyard. I had a wooden retaining wall that had failed and I decided to expand my patio and use rock and stone instead of wood. From the plan that Steve drew Inners crew did a beautiful job. They moved a ton of dirt (clay) unearthed a bunch of big boulders. They prepped and graded and put in drainage. And incredibly moved 8 palettes of rocks and boulders by hand !!! carting them one by one on their shoulders from the front of my house damaging not a plant as they went up the side of the house and up to the back and created beautiful sturdy rock walls. Some tall some meandering all beautiful walls. They incorporated the rocks and boulders they had dug up from my yard into the walls. There are three brothers that are part of Inners team. Two of them Vincente and Santiago specialize in stone work and what a job they did. See pics. The third brother is an expert in planting and plants and he did a beautiful thoughtful job as well. In essence these guys and a gal (inners daughter and brother are also part of Inners talented and far reaching team. We brought Miranda Landscaping a tough job that involved grading, leveling, improving drainage, and installing irrigation before we could even think about making it pretty. He brought us great ideas for making the space more livable and plantings they suited the landscape. I found Miranda Landscaping in the Marketplace magazine. He was the first company I called. He actually answered the phone and within a few days was available to come and look at my project. After his initial walk through he called in his design partner who listened attentively to my vision and then went and drew up several designs. The designer is a former Landscape Architect who is now retired and works with Inner Miranda. Inner presented me with a beautiful design but we failed to discuss my budget. The original design included flagstone path ways, which to get to my budget we switched to Decomposed Granite or DG. Miranda's team showed up on time and worked efficiently, professionally and without any problems. We met several times after the initial excavation of my yard and rotor-tilling of the area. He was flexible to make adjustments and listen to my suggestions. I re-landscaped approximately 1/4 of an acre. It looks amazing, a drip system, over 100 plants, raised beds, DG pathways. I added solar lighting that was a final touch. I was fortunate to have some huge statement rock on my property that we incorporated. I can't say enough about how smooth the process was. I'm a person who trusts my gut and I'm so happy with my decision to hire Inner Miranda and he's awesome crew. The pictures don't show how steep the area was, but despite the challenging terrain the fence looks so level and the frames are very precise. Amazing work by Inner and his team! We had 2 stone retaining walls put in on our hillside yard. We had 2 other contractors quote us significantly higher prices but Inner was very reasonable. He wrote a detailed quote and contract so we knew exactly what we were getting and weren't worried about the price increasing during the work-we've had this happen before. He was able to get the materials quickly and get started on the work right away. His communication was great, anytime we sent him an email or text he responded quickly. His team showed up promptly every morning and kept the space tidy after they finished each day. The also installed a set of stairs on either end of the walls and light fixtures we had selected. The walls were very well done, they were very careful to put in all the necessary details to make it last, including a french drain and plenty of drainage rock.
