Having had dozens of massages over the years, I can confidently say Toby is in a league of his own. His sessions are consistently exceptional and deeply intentional. Every time, I feel genuinely transported to a state of pure bliss. He has a remarkable understanding of muscle anatomy--his movements are thoughtful, symmetrical, and deliver productive pressure while remaining deeply relaxing. As someone who likes to completely tune out, I also appreciate how quiet and respectful he is during this "me time." My facial was canceled hours before the service because the esthetician got sick. This is understandable with the state of the world. However, they didn't have anybody else to provide the service. Well, no problem. Let me still get my 10 AM massage. I get to the salon at 10 AM. Yelp, says they open at 9 am but nobody is there. I say at about 10:01am Karina shows up. She needs about 10 minutes to prepare before we can start the massage. I'm not in a rush, so no problem. My 90 minute massage was cut down to probably about 75 minutes. When I confronted her about it, she did takeoff $10. But many people would not say anything at all. I found this to be unethical. The whole thing was rather disappointing.

My own therapist was chewing a throat lozenge during the massage and even dropped it on me. I was charged for a deep tissue massage even though the therapist confirmed she performed a Swedish massage. We were forced to overtip because the front desk didn't have change. This was our second bad experience here, last time the tech scrubbed so hard we left bleeding.
