We worked with Maegan and her staff on our very first home improvement project. We were very pleased with the results and love our new bathroom which prompted me to write this review. I was both impressed with her sense of style and her professionalism. The process started with her visiting our home to get a general sense of our style and to interview us about the project. She asked thoughtful questions and took detailed measurements of our current space. With a short time we had the initial designs and was surprised how close to the mark they were. I was expecting a number of rounds of back and forth before we got to that point so it showed she really had an understanding of our priorities and style. Since this was our first project, and I'm a very detail oriented person, I had a lot of questions and really wanted to understand everything about the process. She was patient and prompt when answering my questions and going over the details, sometimes repeatedly. I really appreciated that because I know we weren't her biggest client. I was also impressed with her taking the initiative and working with our general contractor to make sure we where all on the same page. This lessened my stress level knowing that things were going to plan. I couldn't recommend Maegan and team enough and am excited to start working with them on our new kitchen! read more

Recently it occurred to me that my 'home base' needed some sorting out. That's when I got the crazy idea to contact an Interior Designer. I had no idea whether I could afford one, but knowing that some of my greatest inspiration comes from being surrounded by beauty made it worth a try, so I got on Yelp. I came across a picture of Meagan and after reading the great reviews, I went to her website. Upon seeing the pictures, I knew right then that she was exactly who I wanted to work with. The question was, would she want to work with me? I wasn't confident that my limited budget and 500 sf. flat would be attractive to someone of her caliber. I shot her an e-mail explaining my circumstances, not really expecting a response. I heard back from her right away! Not only was it not the gracious rejection I was expecting, but an invitation to meet...for a complimentary in-home consultation. Meeting Meagan was like reuniting with a long lost friend - her warmth and enthusiasm are infectious! It was as if she had reached into the center of my brain and managed to extrapolate volumes of information from the garbled mess of images that have haunted my design dreams. When we sat down to discuss how she works with clients, Meagan clearly outlined her creative process, so there were no doubts. She quoted me right there for the amount of time she would need to develop a presentation. Frankly, I was shocked to see how affordable it was and I wrote a check on the spot. True to her word, Meagan was back one week to deliver her presentation. She showed up on time, along with a customized concept book in hand. We sat for over an hour, pouring over the plan and discussing various details. I was impressed by her professionalism and the amount of thought she had put into her plan. Meagan clearly understood the type of environment I wanted to create. She pitched ideas I would have never imagined, yet they made sense. Working with small spaces is a challenge and she wasn't just giving it lip service when she said that she was up to it! I began to glimpse how space actually multiplies itself when used properly. My only concern in making the commitment was being able to do this in phases, for reasons of economy. Meagan surprised me with her open and generous nature - she was completely supportive and agreed that we could work at my pace, until the job was done. I have felt from the very beginning that she is just as committed to me as she is to her more affluent clients. From the beginning, Meagan has kept in constant touch. I am watching my home transform week by week. She sends regular updates when she finds the right item for whatever piece of the puzzle we are working on. She also checks in, just to make sure that I am happy with how things are progrssing. I've never had to chase her, or try to interpret her ideas or her process. She is patient, generous with her time and communicates everything clearly, so there is never any guessing. I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for the opportunity to work with Meagan. One of the benefits of doing this over several months is that I get to have her in my life longer! I think that anyone who has an eye - or, good design sense, can see how talented Meagan is from her website. Meagan is 5 stars all the way! I met Maegan when I was needing help designing my new healing sanctuary space for my business. I didn't know of any interior designers in San Diego county so I went on yelp and gave her a try. I remember immediately intuitively knowing that I wanted her to design my space within the first minute of us talking on our initial phone call. She is so warm, trusting, passionate about what she does, highly skillful with innovative ideas, and so much fun! I was blown away by the first consultation meeting we had. Immediately upon entering the door for the first time, Maegan shared all these fantastic ideas about colors, textures, lighting, seating, drapery, and how to best maximize my small business space to meet all of my and my clients' needs. She spent almost 2 hours with me. Within that time, we had the whole plan and design of the room laid out. Maegan not only designed my space in the first consultation, she also helped me by buying fabrics, taking them to the seamstress to have made, and looking out for other important details for my space. She would send me picture texts with options as she was shopping, and she was always easily available to quickly answer my phone calls and texts when I was out shopping for items for my space. I love my room!!! It feels like home when I'm in it, and this is a good way to feel when you are at work. All my clients are in awe of my room when they walk in too, which makes me even happier that we all get to reap the benefits of this well planned out sanctuary room. Maegan is one of the most creative and positive energy people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I didn't have her design my home, however, she has been a lifesaver for some last minute event design. I first experienced her fab eye for decor- first hand- when she put together a chic, beautifully decorated event- on a pretty strict budget- at a private venue in San Diego; and I could not have been more thrilled with the results. I'm writing this review from a converted automatic piano turned into a desk that she had built for me, which is definitely the highlight of her work here. I guess I got the bad end of the stick.....I picked this place to help with styling our new home but I never received the service I expected even after sending several emails and text messages. I was told during initial consultation over the phone that they could help me with styling my home using the furniture I purchased had recently purchased. I was told that after my in-home consultation a mood board would be presented and I would have the option to purchase them myself or they should assist. Well, I waited 8 weeks to receive a "mood board" of items that were shown & sent to me during the in-home consultation (don't know why that took 8 weeks to send). No other option of style were given. No wall decor or accessories posted on the board (which I requested). After viewing the board I thought maybe it would be better if they would purchase and complete the project for me. But first, I requested for changes to the board before I proceed (in which I was allowed to make changes once according to the contract). Well, I never received the changes nor did I get a call back about proceeding with the project. This was a waste of time & money. read more

It looks as beautiful today as it did six years ago. I recently hired her again to give several of our rooms an update: new furniture, lighting and accessories. Again, she exceeded all expectations. Maegan & her team helped transform our condo in downtown San Diego. We found Maegan on Yelp and were attracted to her work as well as her excellent reviews. Maegan & her team came over to our condo and laid out the options we had based on the updates we wanted to make. She listened very carefully to our requests and made excellent recommendations based on our lifestyles & creative direction. My husband and I bought our first house a year ago, had not enough furniture to fill it, and a very limited vision of what we wanted it to look like. Megan is a phenomenal business partner. She and her crew were courteous and timely, willing to work in accordance with my schedule and budget. Everything has been personalized in order to render the most satisfying result possible (I am an admirer of classic rock and heavy metal - every time I walk into my condo I feel like I am walking back stage). Megan initially asked for my ideas: what was my goal, what themes did I prefer, how much money did I have to work with...all the necessary information to serve a client in an informed manner. After gathering the baseline data, she and her team not only used all of my ideas, but creatively and cost-efficiently incorporated their own innovations (attributes that I would NEVER have thought of). And, the place is perfect! I receive numerous compliments every time I have a house guest! Moving to a new state is understandably an emotional challenge, but when I walk into my condo I know that I am "home." I would not choose any other designer to work with, given that the experience has been so wonderful. We recently had new wood flooring and carpet installed in our house, and decided the house could use paint as well. After going through the usual routine of checking color chips, wheels, etc we decided to hire Meagan to help us select colors for the different rooms. This was one of the better decisions we've made as far as the house goes. Meagan came out and went through the house and suggested colors for the different rooms. In each of the rooms and at transition points Meagan noted with tape on the wall the recommended color. I was going to paint the walls myself originally, but Meagan recommended a painter, (Jeff) who turned out to be one of the best interior painters I've run across anywhere. Meagan not only suggested color schemes for the house she also offered different arrangements for the furniture that were very helpful. Jeff painted the colors recommended by Meagan and the new colors are perfect; the colors are a perfect match for the house and the transitions between shades make it interesting but flow from one room to the next. Jeff's painting was excellent, the prep work really showed itself on the final coat, and the paint lines on transition as well as between ceiling/wall were the cleanest I've ever seen. Of course with new floors, and now newly painted interior I will need to add blinds, new furniture, etc. which I will most definitely be asking for Meagan's assistance with. read more
