Noell and crew painted our 1922 craftsman exterior and it looks great! They paid attention to the siding areas that needed a lot of repair and it looks seamless now - a very refreshed look for the house. I had Ladies on Ladders paint the outside of my house and the entire inside of my Mom's condo. Both jobs were completed on time and beautifully! They fixed many cracks in my stucco. I had to call them last Friday. The paramedics chipped the plaster on a corner of my Mom's wall and I wanted it repaired and painted. They came on Monday and again did a beautiful job! I had my home painted by Noell and her team a few months ago and they job they did was wonderful. So wonderful, in fact, that we have asked them to come back and paint MORE of it! Her team was very clean and respectful of my space (and my pets) so no complaints here. I couldn't disagree more with the 1 Star reviews here! This sad person and her family have a personal vendetta against Noell and her business. None of these single star reviews are accurate and you should not base your decision off of the false information and blatant lies that have been written here. The quality of the work was very high -- crisp, clean, even, no marks--and the colors were exactly what we wanted. Noell even painted some clothes hanging rods custom for us to match some art in the room. She chose high quality paints that look great and protect our ceilings and walls from moisture. Noell communicated well, arrived on time, and her team was very careful with our place and left it pristine. I trust their skills and professionalism. I'm so glad some of you had a good experience. Our family however did not we have written three reviews on our experience and Noell has played it off as if we are just making it up. Well guess what the pictures below will show our reviews are accurate based on the job she did for us. We sent her these pictures and she stated it's because it's a bathroom and paint chips like that, she did say she will fix it. We have owned that property for 70 years and NEVER has the paint chipped. So our job was not done to our satisfaction. Oh one more thing job was completed in November of 2022. If you see Noell's response below stating "its one of those things where we would never be happy" this is not true look at the pictures below and as a customer she should be able to take constructive criticism and we'd also think as a business owner she would welcome the feedback rather than blame the customer, we all know how expensive painting is so as a owner she should want to make the customer happy. read more

Extremely surprised at what Noell and her team did to my condo unit. Was super excited to work with a woman owned company and reviews looked good, including someone else in my building. Noell and team did an amazing job at prep work and protecting my unit on day 1. I began to be concerned when a portion of painting was started late in the day and stopped until day 2 without finishing the entire area that was started. When day 2 came about, her team was left unsupervised and I overheard one of the team say she didn't know how to cut in the lights on the ceiling and was newer to painting. The team also spent much of the time when Noell left discussing another employee and how Noell was dealing with them and schedules. At the same time, the other person was painting the ceiling in no real way that matched up with the prior days ceiling painting. Also, the individual was painting the ceiling in different directions the entire time, causing streaking, missed spots and a lot of lines. The walls were completed in the same manner. Also, some areas of the same wall were painted hours apart using what I must assume was different paint pours so it wasn't blended even on the same wall. Near the later part of day 2, Noell and her team didn't speak to me but proceeded to rush to rip down all the protection without once doing a walk through, touch ups or checking with me. When I came out of my office and saw the condition of my unit I told Noell directly I was very concerned with what I was seeing and showed her it all. She agreed the ceiling needed to be repainted and said to check the walls later as in her opinion they were still drying, though it was clear to me there were problems and much of it was dry. Noell committed to fixing what we both saw and committed to returning the next day saying as she left "we will make you happy." I supplied Noell some pics of what I saw after I let it dry another few more hours and then we had light texts back and forth the next morning on arrival timing, all of which were very calm and respectful from my end. I asked Noell if she wanted to chat just her and I prior to having the team come in, in order for me to show respect to her and despite the job they did, and at that point she texted me back quitting the job. This is also after taking a deposit from me and accusing me several times of "my standard" being too high. I'm not sure what a painting standard is, but I expected them to not miss spots, not have noticeable streaks, and to understand the fundamentals of painting. I also expected Noell to have priced my job and planned for it to be done to any normal expectations. I'm not sure how Noell runs a business like this, but standards may be something her and her team need to brush up on. It's sad how this business is run and that me communicating my concerns and clearly showing her were turned onto me as the customer. Buyer beware if you have "standards" that include quality painting and a team that knows what they are doing. Including some key pics, that while don't show off how bad it really is due to lighting, can easily tell there is so much wrong. Due to the owners response and false claims to this review I have edited it. My interactions with this owner and her 2 workers was professional for someone who was shocked by the unprofessionalism and work completed. I even showed sensitivity to her two employees being involved in our convos which is all in writing. I stand by what occurred and my communication. The response by the business clearly shows how unprofessional they are. Maybe don't communicate in writing you can't "meet my standard at the cost you put out there" and have to "move on" when you quit and then make up other stories to try to cover for it. Why would these ladies be sent back to pick up your things after you quit if they were so scared as you have said in the response? Think before you put stuff into writing if you are going to lie about it later. Read your own text I have posted here. Workmanship, customer service and being truthful really are lost on this business owner. read more

BEWARE .... BEWARE ..... BEWARE .... Noell is getting one star only because I have to rate her company. In a nut shell. Her bid was 1000,00 more than two other bids. She was recommended by a close friend. B/C of this and b/c we wanted to support her business ONLY, we gave her the contract. Her workmanship is poor. She showed up on first day, stated she was going out of town, and left 2 employees on the job (1 employee being new). One of the employees said she was at the padre game (not sure this qualifies to be out of town). The term "blow and go" in the painting industry is how another professional painter describe her job. There is no sanding, cutting in. There were a lot of holes in the wall never patched, some spots were missed on the wall with paint. She stated we were too picky!! (Not sure missing paint on wall, having what is called "boogers" (no sanding) on the walls, not patching holes, using a low grade of paint (same paint throughout the house, even in bathrooms) is picky. We call that a HORRIBLE job, that hurts her industry and the reputation of others in her industry. Note: we could take our fingernail and scratch the paint off the walls in the bathroom. She was VERY RUDE to our family, defensive and did not repair items she was responsible for. If you choose to hire her .... plan on spending alot more money than other painters and expect a poor job, dealing with a rude owner, Noell. In response to Noell's reaction on 12/21/2022 to my original review. (Unable to write a new review or respond to Noell's comments). This is a great example of NOT knowing your jobs. This is not a 4 bed/2 bath. This is a 3 bed/ 3 bath home. (Had Noell been working the job, she would have known these VERY basic facts.) This is also a reflection of how Noell deflects any responsibility for her workmanship and for your rude behavior. We've been very happy with ALL of the other contractors we have hired, outside of Noell's painting job and her extremely poor attitude. Noell did not preform the job she stated per her contract. Damage was done to the closet doors, and we still paid over the price of two other reputable painting contractors. Noell stated to our family "you get the job that you paid for" !!! And she shut the communication down. We had a painting contractor come in and give us a bid of 1400.00 to complete what was not fulfilled on our contract with Noell. We have over 10 homes within our families. Noell has lost out on alot of work, and will certainly caution people NOT to hire her. If you want to take the BIG CHANCE and hire Noell, be prepared!!! read more

I was involved with Noel back in May. First she was a no show, no call when she was supposed to come look at the job. She had an excuse that seemed plausible so I let it go. Then we were supposed to talk a couple of days later at 2pm. No call so I called her at 2:30. She said she didn't have my number with her. I have a northern cal area code and we had talked before so I knew it would be in her cell phone history. Finally she asked for a 50% deposit which is a violation of Cal Contractor Laws. She is allowed to ask for 10% or $1,000 whichever is less. I notified her of this and she sent me a new sloppy contract that still had violations in it. By this time I had a bad feeling and ceased contact. Now I understand she asked Brandon M for a 50% deposit but accepted a 25% deposit after I let her know that is a clear violation of contract law. I was going to let it slide until I found out she is still trying to get a 50% deposit knowing that is illegal. read more

I contacted Noell for a paint job on my kitchen cabinets, stair railings, and a faux finish on my fireplace. The work she and her crew did was nothing short of AMAZING. She had a great eye for EXACTLY what I wanted. The crew of 3 worked swiftly and everything was so well done. These gals really did a beautiful job on making our kitchen cabinets and drawers light up the kitchen. Their price was two to three thousand dollars less than many well-known San Diego painters. We selected a nice faux wood finish which did not anything to the price. Noelle Tarpey is the owner of Laddies on Ladders, and let me tell you, she knows what she is doing. She explained every step, was punctual, and very neat. The work went quickly, Noell being assisted by Rebekah, who also is good at her craft. From helping us with color selection, to the use of quality paint, the results are just what we wanted. The house was left clean by these two cheerful women, who felt more like family than strangers. I wanted white walls in the bedrooms and she brought five different shades of white and painted them on the bedroom walls for me to choose from. After I told her what I didn't like about the present color on the deck she chose a perfect neutral color and painted a good sized sample for me to see. Noell and her team are amazing. I hired them for a difficult paint job: my 1960s kitchen, including cabinets and doors. I obtained five quotes, and I am so glad that I found and chose this company. They were detailed and thorough with the job itself, careful to spend extra time on the trickier areas, and willing to give any extra attention to any area that I was worried about. On the last day, they basically went through the kitchen with a magnifying glass, catching little areas I would never have noticed. They were also a delight to have in my house. Painting a kitchen is stressful, especially when all of your kitchen stuff has to be boxed up for the whole period they're working. Noell and her team understood this, and took extra care to remove enough masking every night for me to able to get to everything I needed -- which created more work for them (re-masking) every morning. They were trustworthy and extremely friendly, and the finished job looks even better than I'd imagined it would. Even with a color change midway through the project (which they accepted with no complaints or hesitation), the job went smoothly, and I couldn't be happier. Second was interior paint job in living room/dining room/family room. Next came a very tricky job putting an epoxy paint product on my existing kitchen countertops. We just had our living room, dining room, and kitchen painted by Noell and Bernadette from Ladies on Ladders. We are thrilled with the results! We got bids from other painters, but we went with LOL because Noell showed genuine interest and excitement for our project AND she created an itemized bid so that we could prioritize our projects according to our budget. Our home is an older craftsman with plaster walls that have seen much better days. We'd already had some repair work done but only focusing on the big stuff--so lots of little stuff didn't get done. The ladies went above and beyond to make everything look great, including hole repairs, gnawed-on base boards, and (of course) the paint! The work time was minimal (three days), but they were not rushed which I really liked. We are staying in the home, so we wanted to make sure it was all done well (not just fast) because we are going to be looking at it for many years to come. I could go on for days about all the great things they did (the perfectly clean and sharp lines of the crown moulding will make you want to cry!), but you have to find out for yourself.
