I have worked with M13 a number of times now. They are amazing! The turnaround times are fast, the rates are very reasonable, the product catalog is huge, and the quality is fantastic. I got banners, posters, and cards the week of my event. I'm not sure what more I could ask for. The website is easy to use, even for someone that doesn't always know what he's doing (me). I have placed a few orders with M13, but after the last one, I will never order from them again. My company is located very close to them so we were excited about the convenience of being able to pick up our orders. After spending hundreds of dollars on business cards for multiple employees, I was extremely dissappointed when our problems were not even acknowledged let alone resolved. I received business cards that had lines all over them, the ink from one side bled onto the other, and the colors were completely off. The cards that were supposed to be white on one side looked so dirty it was like they'd been sitting in someones wallet for years. Where is your quality control? I understand these things happen, but you can clearly see how terrible they look while you're packaging my order. Don't you care? I have had to hand out a few of these cards to my clients and I'm completely embarassed everytime I do. I called and told them the problem and they said they could offer me a reprint, not a refund. Okay, fine. They told me to get a better file from my graphic designer. After I spoke with her and found out the same file had been given to another lab, without flaws, I called, emailed, and brought in the two cards to show them the comparison. No one apologized. No one called me back. No one emailed me back. No one ever sent a reprinted order. We will never use this lab again. read more

I really disappointed with my latest order from M13 Graphics. They used to produce really good looking prints, which they were comparable to Jakprints.com (Ohio) quality. Being a designer, and my fiancee too... We are so un-impressed with the quality, that I have to say we are actually embarrassed to send out our wedding invites that we have just received. :( 1. Just about every single invite (250 Qty) has rough edges 2. The folding job is poor (might as well done them by hand myself) 3. Background artwork lost (I specifically asked the staff to verify that the background artwork would be visible, the person that called me prior to printing said "yeah, it looks like it'll be fine." I would have rather them been honest and say it may be too dark, I'd been more than happy to send lighter versions of the files) 4. This is the icing on the cake though... I can tell their PRINT HEAD's ARE OFF. Giving all the text a blurry look, not to mention seeing some of random colors (ex. yellow) that are not in the original artwork. I understand it's due to CMYK, not being aligned correctly. That's just lack of quality assurance, control, whatever you want to call it. When I worked at a print house, we never sent prints to a customer that you could obviously see that the print heads need to be calibrated and aligned. We threw them away, and reprinted them to ensure quality. Overall, I feel super let down. I used to use these guys all the time. Now, I don't think I ever want to go send another print job through M13 Graphics again. I suppose the saying stands true... "You get what you pay for..." read more

I like to support local companies and M13 is close to my work and home but after the big mess they did to me with my last order I won't go back there anymore. I had them printing baby shower invitation which they advertised on their site and via email to have 25% off, I submitted the artwork and had them call me back to make sure artwork was good to print which they did call and say it was good. The only "good" thing was that they had the invitations done 2 days before the due date which would have worked perfect for us, my girlfriend wanted to mail the invitations out for her friends out of the state. I went to pick the invitations late that night, the printing was offset, I chose rounded corners which were awfully cut, uneven, some corners more rounded than the other and the card stock paper peeling off, I called them and they said they will reprint but I had to reduced the artwork so it wouldn't be offset the second time (they initially had said the artwork was fine), Rene was rude and would not let me talk, he mentioned that on their disclaimers, they are not responsible for uneven cutting, so I felt that they didn't care. They told me they will have them redone the next day which didn't happen, I had to call them to see if they were done or not, I went during my lunch hour when they confirmed they were ready (1 day after), check the printing on site to find out the offset was even worst than the first time, they sent me to the front were I had to wait for them to cut the side that was uneven, by this the invitations were 1/8" smaller, then to top the mess off, there were 3 red dots on all of the invitations that were not part of the artwork. I decided not to deal with them anymore and requested a full refund which they did, I felt like they laughed at me and didn't care at all as a customer, there is not quality control and unprofessional when handling the issue, 25% off to waste your time on unprofessional work. Vista print did a better job and had no issues with the same artwork I submitted initially to M13, I had to pay shipping which I don't care or if I had to pay more, they included free envelopes and the paper was much better. read more

The quality control at this printer is awful! Several print jobs screwed up, no communication. This last order they screwed up the printing, there were marks on every piece and would not refund the cost. Offered a replacement job or 25% off our next order. Screw that, we will never use them again. Better off using Vistaprint. read more

M13 is best suited for a business/individual who is okay with not being able to communicate with customer service, and may have to deal with a few time consuming hiccups. It took two emails & three phone calls to get an invoice, when their invoicing system was down. The do not reply to emails unless you call and call again. By the time I received a bill, I was over charged, then charged again for no order placed the next day because of a system error. Their product is ok (they've downgraded to a thinner paper stock for any order that is not offset). The time I've spent on the phone to get a receipt, for over-billing, and a misprint (which they promptly reprinted and sent out) is not worth my studio's time invested to continue doing business with M13. read more

I would like to echo what David F said: something has really happened to this company. A couple of years ago, M13 was recommended to me by someone else who worked with them. They did some business cards for me, and I was very happy with them. I did a re-design and had them do a new batch this time. When I picked them up on a Tuesday, they were crooked. I spoke to someone in customer service, who said they would re-do them and get them to me by Friday. Well, not only did they not arrive until the following Tuesday, but they were more crooked than the first batch! They were SO bad, I couldn't believe anyone had looked at them when they came off the press and decided to send them out. So when I called again, they literally told me that my order - just one box of business cards - was too small to be worth their time to get it right. They just punted and said they would give me a refund. Let's hope they actually get the refund done in a timely manner. Something tells me I'll be on the phone with them in another couple of days fighting to make that happen. It turns out, the people who recommended M13 to me have had problems with them recently, too. It appears as though this is a company that has gone downhill fast over a couple of years. read more

I have used M13 for the past 5 years for various printing jobs, including business cards, postcards/flyers and brochures. They are always quick to confirm my order, and their customer service is always courteous. In the rare case where there's a problem with my file, they let me know right away so that my order is not delayed. I have had orders shipped via FedEx, dropped off by their delivery person at night, and picked up myself in person at their location. No matter what I print or how I get it, it's always fast and looks excellent. I am constantly recommending them, and I get compliments on items I print all the time. I'm honestly shocked to read some of these reviews! I have been using this company for over a year to handle the printing needs for my business. I have never once had any issues with customer service. I find then helpful, pleasant to deal with and I especially appreciate their drop off service and quick turn around. Out of several runs of 5000 there have only been a few, like 3 to 5, that have had some minor bleed. This is pretty impressive in my opinion. Additionally the materials I have them print are full color with multiple hues side by side. Their prices are competitive, great customer service especially for a print shop, and great drop off service! I would recommend them to anyone. I highly recommend this printing company for the quality of their work, their prices, their fast turn-around, and, most importantly, for their friendly approach to keeping their customers happy. I state this based on the following: 1. Six years ago, M13 printed a few thousand business cards for my small fingerprinting company in Philadelphia, called Rosa Photo & Fingerprinting. The price and the quality were both outstanding, and so when I needed other printing done (flyers) a couple years ago, I again used their services, and again I was more than satisfied. 2. A month ago, finally running low (!) on the business cards, I made very minor changes in the text (i.e changed hours), but otherwise utilized the identical format, and sent the resulting pdf files to M13, explaining that I needed, in essence, "more of the same." 3. Four days later, I had the new cards, albeit they were a little disappointing, not because M13 had printed them "incorrectly," but rather, I suppose, because a different computer tech at M13, 6 years later, had a different stylistic sense of what would be the optimum result, whereas I, as conservative as ever, wanted the new cards to be, as much as possible, "IDENTICAL" to the previous ones. 4. So I called M13's customer service dept, spoke to supervisor Rene Sanchez, a very mild and non-confrontational fellow. He had me email him the pdf file from 6 years ago, plus I mailed him samples of the old-and-wonderful card and the new-and-disappointing card. 5. Within 48 hours of M13's receipt of the actual cards, the order had been completely re-done and shipped to me. The new cards are perfect, and there was no charge for anything! Bravo! Good work, M13 ! 6. Bottom line-- no one is perfect. Anyone can make a mistake. The hallmark of a good company is not so much how they handle the 95% of their non-problematic orders, but rather how they handle the 5% that do have problems. Based on my experience, I would very highly recommend M13 to anyone, because with my problematic order, they made me 100% happy. And the changes were painless, fast and free. We were sort of in a hurry to get cards done. It is amazing how they can keep the cost down even on an order jumped from the 3-5 delivery rate to the 1-2 day rate. After uploading our cards I asked to be contacted before M-13 printed as this was my first print job with them and I wanted to be sure that I had set everything up correctly and that the cards would look good. Once we confirmed, it was less than 24 hours until our cards were ready, Not only impressive speed and cost, but the cards look AMAZING!!! As good or better than I had hoped. My organization has worked with M13 for the past 5 years and been very happy. They are fast, affordable, and produce good quality work. This year we had the worst experience of any printer we've worked with so far. Everyone we spoke to with the exception of one very nice person in accounting was rude, condescending, and at one point, full on yelled at me. They incorrectly charged my credit card after refusing to send me a quote, and every step of getting this order felt like a battle. We will no longer be using M13 for any of our printing. So we have printed 2 jobs with M13. Both had to be reprinted. The QC control department is horrible. I don't mean small imperfections, I am talking about streaking across the pages, very noticeable mistakes. All in all, you might save some money, but if you are sending out anything other than club flyers for a bar, this is not the place to get it done. Very unprofessional and I'd rather pay an extra $30 for it to be done right the 1st time. read more

Just placed an order for Business Cards and realized I should have called Chris or his brother at M13. I stupidly forgot about their great quality and service. Honestly, I've never seen better quality and a more buttoned-up operation than M13, and if I had been thinking, I'd have called them instead of going to the cut-rate offshore operation and gotten a much faster turnaround time from the good folks over at M13 Graphics in Schaumburg. M13 has come through many times for my business. Owning a local graphics company, I rely on M13 for a large amount of printing and have never yet been let down. I'm not saying there haven't been errors but they are always quick to get the issue corrected. Someone mentioned Vista print. I've personally had a horrible experience with them not wanting to reprint a piece that was positioned incorrectly. Good luck! I have been using m13 for quite a while now but recently have discovered that the new paper and coating options are not really customer oriented. I have viewed some of the competitors and can get 12pt uncoated and I think m13 should offer the same. Its truly a shame because I love working with the m13 team. The employees there are great! Cori and Kevin have some of the most compassionate customer service I have ever received and I am always taken care of in a timely manner. I think the decision makers behind m13 had really dropped the ball with this new website transition. It is relatively frustrating to try and use and should have probably been tested before it was just launched on to the website.
