Got myself one of their seasonal lattes, I do not remember the name of it! But it was sweet and very enjoyable. There were some appealing seasonal drinks with uncommon flavors. The barista was quick and friendly. Great location and they also have a lot of prepared sandwiches/baked goods. Seems like a cool spot to visit, I recommend it. read more

Good coffee spot near UMich campus, there's seating inside but it's fairly limited and not a big study spot. Great for grab and go. I got a small Iced latte, it was good but nothing super notable. It was a busy weekend day, the service was relatively quick. read more

This is the best study and coffee chat spot on campus. It has the study vibe-- everyone is doing work there so it feels really productive. The food is delicious-- I loved their lemon blueberry lavender scone for its well balanced flavors and great texture (slight crunch on the outside and super soft inside). The drinks are well done. The baristas are super friendly and care about how your drink is. read more

I love trying out new coffee places so was super excited when I saw signs for M36 at this former Espresso Royale location and was super glad to see it's now opened! It's really cool that it's owned by former long term Espresso Royale employees. I really like the space inside! It had the same chill, comfortable atmosphere as Espresso Royale did but updated and brighter! I really liked my iced americano! I wish I was in more of a sweet tooth mood when i visited because all their drink menu items sound sooo good! Lots of classic popular drinks were on it as well as some unique drinks that sound delicious. Can't wait to try some out! They also have a good selection of flavors to add you your drink including several sugar-free options. Customer service was really great and friendly and I am excited to come back! read more

I ordered a vanilla oatmilk latte, chocolate chip pumpkin bread, and the pesto grilled cheese. The pumpkin bread was the highlight of the meal. So yummy and a good portion for three dollars. 10/10 The coffee didn't taste super strong and was a little sweet for my taste but was still good. 6.5/10 The grilled cheese was decent but nothing special 8/10! read more

I got a chai from there and it was good! But just overall it was fine but nothing to go out of the way way for. I would go there for just a basic cup of coffee. The service was really great and friendly. The ambiance was good, lots of tables to study but quiet. read more

I got the dirty chai, but realized very quickly how little I can handle the spice of chai -.- the charcoal latte was pretty good based on the few sips I've tried, so I think I want to give this place another shot in the future with a more traditional coffee. I had the turkey pesto sandwich. The sandwich was overall pretty good with very quick service. I felt there was a bit too much cheese on the sandwich but overall I was pleased. M36 is one of my favorite study spots as a college student. They have great seasonal cold brew drinks, my favorite right now is creamy cinnamon cold brew, as well as excellent food. The turkey pesto sandwich always hits the spot! You can online through the snack pass app and they are speedy getting your food out to you. The basement is a great work environment to get homework done and the location is very central to the rest of campus. The one aspect I would like to see improved would be the wifi. read more

This place has been a go-to for mine for a bit now! Their coffee and specialty drinks are okay, but what I think really stands out are their sandwiches. The ham sandwich with pesto is a must try!!! It's a phenomenal pick-me-up lunch / snack thing--super filling and such a yummy meal! Make sure you ask for it heated, the panini press makes the bread crispy and perfectly melts the cheese. We happened upon a pop up today at the Dexter Farmer's Market. Their cold brew is very smooth - easy drinker. My husband had a raspberry almond scone which he said was excellent. I grabbed the bacon cheddar scone which was really really good. We didn't even know this little shop existed and were pleased to see there's a spot on campus. New fans for sure! And the pop up idea was genius. read more

If you are a Michigan student, you know M36. The best part about this place is the location and it's proximity to campus. It's steps away from the school of social work, ross business school, and the Diag. It also has a basement with a lot more seating, so it's more likely to find a spot there than a lot of other Ann Arbor coffee shops near campus. Other than the location, there isn't a lot of things I love about this place. The coffee is fine, but I wasn't able to drink my matcha latte because the matcha was so chunky. I think a lot of their drinks are too sweet and I have just never been super impressed by anything I've ordered there. It definitely isn't terrible, but if you are a coffee snob, I would try somewhere else. If you are a student who needs some caffeine and a chill space close to campus to study for a few hours, it's a great spot for you. read more

Overall, fantastic food, drinks, and service. We ordered a mocha, their house blend coffee, and a sausage and egg sandwich. The coffee was fantastic, and the mocha was made with ghirdadelli chocolate and was rich and decadent but not too sweet. The sandwich was perfectly toasted and was very flavorful. There was also a wide selection of pastries and lunch sandwiches which all looked delicious. The prices were reasonable and comparable to other coffee shops in Ann Arbor. They serve some very good coffee for the price it is sold for. I also had a very good sausage egg and cheese there. They are remade but warmed up they taste very good and served at a good price. The place also has a nice atmosphere to do work and hang out. read more

Pretty new to coffee overall, but I have been making my way around the shops of Ann Arbor trying to find the hest espresso and milk drinks A2 has to offer. M36 fell short in their first showing, with a really dark roasted espresso that was overwhelmingly bitter even in a cappuccino. I may give them a second chance, but overall I wasnt impressed, and the shop was busy and loud. 4.40 for a burnt tasting cappuccino isn't worth it for me, starbucks does that just fine half a block away. read more
