Latte

The coffee was incredibly well made and I appreciate the amount of allergy friendly baked goods they provided customers to purchase. The service was very kind and helpful when deciding on what to get. The only downside is the size of the cafe but I was able to still work on some content editing in the small space. I appreciate his they have outdoor seating though if the inside if filled. Definitely a cute cafe and would recommend it to those in the area.

The staff is friendly. No matter who makes your drink it is always amazing. Great music always playing and it's a great vibe.

This is my go-to spot for pour overs and drinking chocolate. They have a rotating selection of beans on offer usually between 4-6 varieties from all over the coffee map. The list is posted by the cash register and offers brief descriptions of the beans including origin, processing, and tasting notes. It's right above their loaded pastry case - try a vegan chocolate chip cookie! Their pour over bar is set up for multiple pour overs at once so the wait isn't very long. It's a cute space but very small so it can get a little cramped waiting for your drink - nothing to be done about that but just a heads up. I love that they have designated laptop free tables to encourage conversation and meeting with people. I would say that's what the space serves best but I do see people working on the laptops at the cafe so if you can get a seat it might work for you too. This is a small cafe serving high quality coffee perfect for a coffee break from work or class.

Amazing dolce latte!

Dolce latte was amazing Latte art was amazing It's in the small alley It gives off an European vibe of small spaces, good pastry, coffee, people stop and go, just having a good talk. There's a few indoor seating and outside seatings The coffee is top notch The latte is really smooth And I had a bad day, and I read my Bible there and read other books for 2 hrs. And the latte was not getting cold that quickly. They have quality mug to retain the heat. Outside the alley there's a mobile smart restroom, really cool and clean, highly recommend! Parking is right next to it with parking structure. Staff was nice! Music gives off relaxing city lay-back vibe Highly recommend!

Comet Coffee in Ann Arbor is a gem tucked away in a European-style alley. Really reminds me home. The coffee smells amazing, and the service is always quick and friendly. We've been there three times, and each visit is a peaceful escape in the city's heart. Perfect spot for coffee lovers like me and my friends:)

Food: savory pastry was delicious! Our drinks were amazing- latte was yummy and pretty :) Ambiance: cute, quaint place. Some People were studying and the shop is located in the middle of a cute alley. Service: service was amazing though a quick experience ordering coffee. We asked for a knife and plate to split our pastry and they were super nice about it! Some other coffee shops would've rolled their eyes but they were super sweet.

Cool cafe! Fun vibe, sleek decor, excellent service and high quality coffee. Located in Nickels Arcade. Great location. Indoor and outdoor seating. I loved my mocha and my friend enjoyed her cappuccino. They are also well known for their variety of pour over coffee, which are individualized. I appreciate that there are signs on the tables to discourage laptops and encourage conversations.

Pour over cup of coffee, on a table in the arcade.

Located inside Nichols arcade off State street, I stopped in for my morning cup of java. The standard cup of coffee is a pour-over. No pull from the big pot here. My cup of black coffee was excellent. I had my choice of about six different bean blends. I am not so choosy and went for the least expensive. Was it more than a standard cup at another establishment - yes ? Was it out of the ball park - no. With the price increases elsewhere, I didn't think much of it. It is not fast. You are going to wait. More than most places whip out a specialty drink. This is not a grab-n-go coffee stop. Which brings me to my 5 stars. The atmosphere is "sit and enjoy" a cup of coffee, preferably with someone else to chat. Small and intimate, and about the experience. A place to read a book. There are notes on many of the tables that laptop use is prohibited. The tables are for people to sit and chat. There is some laptop area, but it is not the focus. There are small tables inside and outside, but not lots of them. Everything was clean. The service was pleasant. I will be back to enjoy a cup of coffee shortly.

Place: This place is in Nichols Arcade and it is small coffee spot that has both indoor and outdoor seatings. It does get windy atrium so bring like a sweater haha. The ambience is clean and rustic modern..? Service: The service is really good and the baristas know what there are doing. The menu lists the common types of coffee but you can definitely go off the menu. Food $: The experience was nice and both my friend and I got a flat white- I want to say it is an espresso with milk. They serve it to you and give you a little heart ( so cute ). Audience: Solo Trip [X] 21+ [ ] Family Friendly [X] Friends [X] Date Spot [X] Recommendations/tip: I would recommend to coffee lovers!

Iced pour-over

I think Comet Coffee is known for their pour-overs and sourcing beans from near and far local roasters. I always like looking at their pour-over selection which changes pretty frequently! They always have different tiers in terms of "cheap" to "expensive" depending on the coffee bean! Today, I felt like treating myself to a nice pour-over, so I settled for their current Level 4, Yukro Co-Op (roasted by "George Howell Coffee of Action" in Massachusetts) which has "lilac, peach, and raw sugar" notes for $7. I got it iced because it was a pretty hot day but looking back, I wish I just sucked it up and enjoyed it hot so I can enjoy the tasting notes better. Definitely really fruity sips that are great for the summer heat! Not sure if it's worth $7, but the beans must have been expensive! I also like looking at their selection of beans on sale and maybe I will buy a bag the next time I come back. Also, this coffee shop mainly specialize in light roasts.

Every time I step into this cafe I feel like I'm living life to the fullest. The staff are always super sweet and give the best suggestions about what to get. This is one of the few coffee shops on campus where I can actually taste the aromas and notes in the coffee. It's the perfect place to study or go on a coffee date with a friend. Highly recommend!

Best cup of joe in A2 thus far. They offer pour overs and have deluxe coffee makers. Small assortment of baked goods. Indoor and outdoor seating. Not the best for study area even though it is near MSU campus. A little tricky to find. It is within a corridor of a building, the Nickel Arcade. Look for the Maynard parking garage and you are close. The fix is worth it!

I might actually buy coffee and tea as holiday gifts for my coworkers. The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is because the women's bathroom was not clean, customer service can be improved, and some music can really make the cafe more inviting. I made coupe of orders, one included dessert. I was handed the cake with no fork, had to ask for one. Wasn't given napkins and didn't bother asking. I might sound petty, but honestly the product can be great. However, customer service is what brings customers back. There needs to be proper training. If I'm going to spend money and do everything myself and ask for everything that should be the basic/ standard, then I might as well make my coffee at home. It terms of music, I think it would amplify the space. When I stopped by the cafe, I was the only one in the main space and it was dead silent and all I can hear is the buzzing of the cooler that had the water and pop/ drinks. Some light music in the background would've blocked that noise. I only share this because I would love to see this business thrive.

I like Drip House. I'm happy it's here. However, I don't know if I would be coming much if there…read morewas another coffee shop within a short walking distance. The main thing Drip House has going for it is that it is effectively the only coffee spot to sit and study or meet someone right by the stadium (where a bunch of us live and/or work). It is also open into the early evening when a lot of other coffee spots aren't. And we do love an outside seating option. The service has always been just fine and it's a pretty cute spot (not to sound ridiculously nit-picky but while we're here--someone might wanna sheer some of the many dead leaves off the beautiful plant inside though). Also, the banana oat latte they had as a special a couple months ago was delicious. So yummy. Some things I don't love about Drip House: the blue chairs. So uncomfortable. It is expensive and, dare I say, overpriced. The first time I got my $14 piece of ricotta toast, it was delicious. And I figured, fine. It's $14 for a piece of bread with a little cheese and jam but it's so yummy, I'll splurge every once in a while and go with it. Plus, I can't eat tree nuts, so it is one of the few options for me. However, the second time I got it, it was most definitely not worth it. The "whipped" ricotta was just a sad, thin wet layer and there was practically no jam. I get it. It's expensive out here. We're living in the shadows of the avocado toast economy where espresso drinks cost minimum $7 and you effectively can't buy anything for less than $4. But just because you feel like you *can* doesn't mean you *should.* Paying $14 for a piece of bread.... Come on. It's insulting. It feels exploitative. Will i be going back? Yes, because of the proximity and sometimes a girl needs to go for a cute little walk to get a coffee--just to feel something. Would I if there was a competing coffee shop nearby? That remains to be seen. Also the size of the "large" iced drink. Come on guys.

We found nearby street parking and we were able to get a spot on a comfy couch that was near a power strip. There isn't a ton of seating so I imagine it can get busy throughout the day. The building is historic and also houses a coworking space which has a lot of really great amenities. The vibe inside the coffee shop is cozy but modern, and I loved the decor. They also had some really great merch - the tote bags were calling my name! I ordered the cardamom fig latte and Nate got a golden milk latte. They do that thing where they just yell out the name of the drink rather than taking your name, but I loved everything else about this place. The cardamom fig latte was unique and definitely tasted of both cardamom and fig. They have bagels and some pastries. I really liked the varied seating (comfy couches/chairs, tables, and bar seating) and plentiful outlets for getting work done. The wifi was fast and consistent. If I lived in the area this would be my go-to coffee shop. It's not the biggest space but it's definitely worth a visit!

Most recently I came here for a meeting, ordering a vanilla latte and a sweet potato hand pie to nibble on since I hadn't eaten yet. The description of the latter sounded so good, sweet potatoes with black beans and a few other veggies, wrapped up in flaky pie dough. The filling, however, was mostly pureed, giving it more of a baby food consistency which I didn't love. The flavor was good though but I couldn't get over the mushy texture. The black beans weren't pureed in but were few and far between (I think I maybe counted 2 or 3?). In addition to my hand pie I also ordered a piece of the billionaire's shortbread but they didn't ring it up/prepare it. By the time I realized it (I had to wait for my hand pie to be heated up) it was only a few minutes before close so I didn't bother going back up to the counter to reorder. IDK if they were just in a hurry to close or genuinely didn't hear my order but it was a bummer since it did look great. The vanilla latte, however, was quite good. And for a coffee shop that's most important. And what they lacked in substantial food options they did make up for in fun, seasonal drink specials and a few sweet treats like cookies and the aforementioned shortbread. The space is very cute, as well, and made for a really comfortable meeting location. So overall I did like my visit here. I just won't be rushing back here if I'm feeling peckish. But for a caffeinated pick me up and a nice place to meet or chill, this definitely fits the bill.
