    Honey cake

Espy is a cute cafe with great vibes. There is plenty of seating and it looks like they host some events. My friends and I stopped by for a quick coffee, but we drooled over the pastries, especially the honey cake. I got the miel latte, which came with cute latte art and a generous dusting of cinnamon. The cinnamon got a bit clumpy and wasn't my favorite, texture-wise, but the latte itself was super smooth and tasty. I think it had the perfect amount of sweetness to where it was pleasant to drink without being cloying. I'd love to come back with my laptop and get some work done here!

A new coffee shop in town that roasts their own beans - the coffee scene is seriously upleveling in AA. They roast out of Anthology Coffee's Eastern Market roastery. they just had their soft open Jan 10-Jan 12. I'm stoked that it's quite close to my office. They also have a fulll kitchen set up so I have hopes that their menu will grow. There's an ample amount of seating and parking which is a win this close to downtown. I had a drip coffee (their Humure) as well as the sourdough pancakes because why not. Excited to come here more often!

Like Lost Socks in DC the atmosphere is the real selling point. Unique, self selected songs, and attention to the pysical beauty of how tables, seats, plants are laid out. Gives vibes somewhere between a garden party and friend's basement. It is excellent! The pour-over was delicate and cholatey with some herbal tones. The expresso is distinctly toffee and graham cracker flavored. Seriously! made me look at the expresso for like 5 minutes wonder how they did it. Clerks were very helpful! Since I am buying bags, I appreciate that they have smaller sizes and I can get a few varieties. I will come back here if I'm ever in Ann Arbor again

There is outdoor seating too. We ordered a lemon bar and it surprisingly had a subtle lemon flavor so it's not too sour and it had a good texture. My husband said the coffee was ok. I didn't get to try a latte cause we had an event after but their menu looks good! Service was good too and bathroom was pretty clean.

I like Drip House. I'm happy it's here. However, I don't know if I would be coming much if there…read morewas another coffee shop within a short walking distance. The main thing Drip House has going for it is that it is effectively the only coffee spot to sit and study or meet someone right by the stadium (where a bunch of us live and/or work). It is also open into the early evening when a lot of other coffee spots aren't. And we do love an outside seating option. The service has always been just fine and it's a pretty cute spot (not to sound ridiculously nit-picky but while we're here--someone might wanna sheer some of the many dead leaves off the beautiful plant inside though). Also, the banana oat latte they had as a special a couple months ago was delicious. So yummy. Some things I don't love about Drip House: the blue chairs. So uncomfortable. It is expensive and, dare I say, overpriced. The first time I got my $14 piece of ricotta toast, it was delicious. And I figured, fine. It's $14 for a piece of bread with a little cheese and jam but it's so yummy, I'll splurge every once in a while and go with it. Plus, I can't eat tree nuts, so it is one of the few options for me. However, the second time I got it, it was most definitely not worth it. The "whipped" ricotta was just a sad, thin wet layer and there was practically no jam. I get it. It's expensive out here. We're living in the shadows of the avocado toast economy where espresso drinks cost minimum $7 and you effectively can't buy anything for less than $4. But just because you feel like you *can* doesn't mean you *should.* Paying $14 for a piece of bread.... Come on. It's insulting. It feels exploitative. Will i be going back? Yes, because of the proximity and sometimes a girl needs to go for a cute little walk to get a coffee--just to feel something. Would I if there was a competing coffee shop nearby? That remains to be seen. Also the size of the "large" iced drink. Come on guys.

We found nearby street parking and we were able to get a spot on a comfy couch that was near a power strip. There isn't a ton of seating so I imagine it can get busy throughout the day. The building is historic and also houses a coworking space which has a lot of really great amenities. The vibe inside the coffee shop is cozy but modern, and I loved the decor. They also had some really great merch - the tote bags were calling my name! I ordered the cardamom fig latte and Nate got a golden milk latte. They do that thing where they just yell out the name of the drink rather than taking your name, but I loved everything else about this place. The cardamom fig latte was unique and definitely tasted of both cardamom and fig. They have bagels and some pastries. I really liked the varied seating (comfy couches/chairs, tables, and bar seating) and plentiful outlets for getting work done. The wifi was fast and consistent. If I lived in the area this would be my go-to coffee shop. It's not the biggest space but it's definitely worth a visit!
