We planned on adding 3 lines and also wanted to upgrade a phone. Unfortunately, we had a 3 hour sidequest because T-Mobile was a nightmare to leave. We needed a TMobile transfer pin so we were told to contact them by phone. The TMobile phone customer service said we needed to go in store. When we got to the store, they said we needed to call customer service. ANYWAY, we finally got the pin we needed and headed back to Spectrum at about 4pm. The Spectrum guys were swamped because they were short-staffed by two guys. This also happened to be a day where they had a few complicated customer service issues to deal with prior to helping us again. So, when Royan began helping us with our final transitions, we of course, were no exception to complicated issues. One of our phones was so ancient that it wouldn't adhere to simple transfer protocols (ESim activation). We ended up upgrading that phone and succesfully porting everything over. Royan also had to upgrade another phone and then activate the other two lines. All told, we didn't leave the store until 30 minutes PAST CLOSING. The entire time, Royan was upbeat while also being apologetic for all the issues. He remained patient and dilligent throughout the process and he finally got us everything we requested. While it wasn't an ideal amount of time to spend in the store, the experience was well-done because he worked until everything was completed and IT WAS DONE RIGHT. I had no issues with the lines, data transfers or the billing. Special props to Royan because he worked from open to way past closing and he did it with a great attitude the entire time. I know Spectrum customer service can get a bad rap for the extended wait times and slow service but please remember to factor in difficulty and quality of service received. Just received my spectrum fiber internet service in san diego. I texted a local spectrum agent (my…read morecomplex had their promotional materials around), and setup was straightforward, their app runs well too. (some part of setup requires financial info given verbally over the phone, they could not set it up by app only.) The best part was the servicer who came to setup my internet. He cam early before my 9am timeslot, was courteous throughout, and even upgraded the old coaxial cable that came with my apartment complex. (from RG59 to RG6 -which he explained that results in less dropouts. (I'm on the third floor which is a distance from the actual 'optic fiber' part of the connection.) Will give an update soon, so far its very smooth, with 550mbps down and 30mbps up on speedtest.net.

They actually make you conduct a survey before you cancel your connection and if you refuse to do the survey, they will not cancel the connection. They claim. It's another thing to walk into my house while my wife and I are working with contractors, interrupt, then - when discovered - resist leaving until I have to walk you to the curb and ensure you walk away. It's another thing to stand for 5 minutes knocking on a door with a NO SOLICITING sign on it before finally leaving...but waiting out on the sidewalk for several minutes afterwards. Yet it's another thing to keep coming every few of months - cosplaying as technicians (the sneakers are the giveaway) and entering our now-fenced off courtyard - for a clownishly aggressive sales pitch, then resist leaving the courtyard after hearing "no thanks, please leave now" from the property owners. But what happened last Thursday was another thing entirely: to hang out in a private driveway, stand outside a parked car, waiting for the owner and his child to exit the vehicle for several minutes, refusing to leave when asked (then told) to do so, and then mean-mugging your prospective customer through the windshield glass of his car for a couple more minutes before finally walking off....but not without further staring down your prospective customer...it's the establishment of an unthinkable new low. Listen Spectrum: I was never a fan. However, any chance of getting our business has been completely obliterated by your door-to-door sales team in Metro San Diego. The aggressive, persistent presence: annoying. The bro-speak sales pitch: slimy. The cosplaying as techs: creepy. The ignoring of direction to exit private property: criminal. The attempt to physically intimidate people while trespassing: hostile and criminal. I don't like this trajectory. You've been reported to the FTC. You've been reported to Spectrum Corporate. Was it the protector or the real screen?!! I called and popped in, and got amazing service from Jesse. He was able to see it was just the protector, got me a new one... and cleaned TF out of my phone screen before putting the new one on. I was going to be without my phone which was going to be so complicated... But I got this fixed within 30 minutes, with a new protector for $40, and now my screen is fixed and pristine. Phew. While they say it doesn't work in Japan, which I'm also visiting, I hear it does so I'll confirm firsthand soon. I read a few reviews where people burned through a ton of data unexpectedly, I did the same thing in Europe. I forgot to turn the "automatically update apps" feature on my iPhone, so it was updating those apps and that's what killed my data. It was my fault, not theres. I reloaded the data, turned off the auto-update feature and all was good. But again, make sure you're not updating your phones apps/software/OS, or uploading large files. If you do burn through your data and it's because of this, don't blame them. Good product that works very well and offers data coverage in many, many countries. Not sure there's much else like it. I've had problems in some Caribbean countries, but that's about it. 5 stars.
