I've used Keepgo in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. It works very well pretty much anywhere I've been. Going to China soon and supposedly it will work there. While they say it doesn't work in Japan, which I'm also visiting, I hear it does so I'll confirm firsthand soon. I read a few reviews where people burned through a ton of data unexpectedly, I did the same thing in Europe. I forgot to turn the "automatically update apps" feature on my iPhone, so it was updating those apps and that's what killed my data. It was my fault, not theres. I reloaded the data, turned off the auto-update feature and all was good. But again, make sure you're not updating your phones apps/software/OS, or uploading large files. If you do burn through your data and it's because of this, don't blame them. Good product that works very well and offers data coverage in many, many countries. Not sure there's much else like it. I've had problems in some Caribbean countries, but that's about it. 5 stars. read more

Update below 9/28/15 Purchased the wifi hotspot and used while in Spain and Italy. I burned through 1 gig in 4 days! Emailed them to find out why this could be possible. They emailed me back with an attachment with log of data usuage which was useless. I purchased another gig and I burned through that in a few days. I emailed them again and I got the same "canned" email. Using a wifi hotspot with iPhones, iPads etc can be very tricky with wifi data. Many things happen in the background while on wifi that could use your data without you knowing. If you do not know what to turn off in settings, you could be waisting your money. Keepgo should do a better job and be more transparent on wifi data verses cellular data. I would not recommend purchasing keepgo hotspot and go with your carriers international data package. I have purchased AT&T 500 mb in the past and it has lasted 30 days on a Spain trip Update: 9/28/15 CEO David Lipovkov email me about 1 week ago and said he would direct "his team" to credit me 1 gig of data.......I have not received it Update: 9/30/15. Keepgo reviews on their website are "selected" I have been in contact with yotpo.com that services the reviews and asked them why my review is not showing on keepgo's website and they told me that keeps has to "Push" it through them yotpo.com. I just returned from a trip to Ireland, Italy, Bahrain and Dubai. My SIM card from KeepGo worked flawlessly on my iPhone 5 in Europe, but I had some connectivity issues in the Middle East. KeepGo customer service worked quickly and professionally to resolve my issues (even though it was Christmas day). They also reimbursed my for the lost time. In Bahrain, their data rates are not listed on their site, so after being charged $4.5 USD/MB, I emailed them about this really high rate, and they reimbursed me for all of the data I used while that country. Kudos on the customer service here as they could have just told me to go fly a kite. I did a lot of homework before ordering my SIM from KeepGo and can honestly say that if you are traveling to multiple countries over an extended period, there is no better service available. This service SUCKS they say they will send you a sims card that works while traveling abroad, I had nothing but trouble getting this to work and actually never was able to get it working, I was in Italy with no data service on my phone. Their refund policy states you must cancel before your departure date... How are you suppose to know their service sucks until you are already departed and need it. And when you call their support you get someone that seems like they are working form home. What a waste of time and money. I suggest NOT using this service and buying a sims card at a store when you get there and have someone in front of you to help you get it working if you need help, or pay for roaming charges with ATT&T but that does not work if you have Sprint (like I do) TWO THUMBS DOWN on their service and FOUR THUMBS down for their support! read more

This service SUCKED for me. I bought Keepgo to travel to Madrid, Spain, a city with great connectivity. Yet from minute one I could not get a signal. I called their customer support and I was told to try it from a different location, yet the issue persisted, and the point was that I needed to use it from the location where I was staying (my parents home). I never solved the problem and when I asked for a refund, they said I had used 50 MB of data (I don't see how) and they could refund me the unused data, but I could not return the device itself. I did get the data refund but got stuck with the device. I had high hopes for this service but feel totally cheated. read more

Horrible experience with a horrible company. Purchased the Voice & Data $5/day sim card for a recent 9 day trip to London, Amsterdam and Reykjavik. The sim card and package came through just fine but the service is horrid when you arrive at your destination. I put the sim card in my spare iPhone 5s and updated the APN setting using their config file that they emailed to me. I was in central London and central Amsterdam and was never able to get a service speed that would allow me to connect to my email (gmail), surf the internet or use any form of social media. I wasn't even able to make a call using the sim with any combination of local number, international dialing code or using the "+" with country code, area code and number. All attempts ended with the screen returning to keypad screen. The only place where I was able to get connected was the last 2 days of my trip in Reykjavik which confirms that my settings were correct, just the service was horrible. When I got back I wrote to them to express my dissatisfaction and they responded with "our refund policy states that you have to request a refund while the service is still active". How exactly was I supposed to contact them when I had no service? And what were they expecting to do for me? Cancel my service in the middle of my trip and leave me high and dry? Their business practices are shady. Their policies are in place to protect them, not their customers. They obviously don't see any value in repeat customers otherwise they might have put in some effort to help me out after this ordeal. The remaining credit on the account $39/$45 should speak to how much I was able to utilize this service. Bottom line. Horrible business. Horrible service. AVOID Keepgo at all costs. read more

Love this service. I travel quite often, and by this was the easiet thing to use my phone abroad. The speed is pretty fast too.

PLEASE do not use this product!!! I bought two months worth while traveling in southeast Asia and from the get go nothing worked. Apparently their provider in Thailand suddenly stopped supporting Keepgo cards, which is a big bummer considering I'm spending the majority of my time in that country. Whenever I contact them their answer is the same: we've forwarded the issue to our technical department. Well, that was 8 days ago and nothing has changed. And, I might add, this is not a cheap service. Thank god I used my AMEX to pay and will fight the charge 100%. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANYONE PURCHASE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY'S SIM CARDS. Ok. I have used their service many times. The product is good when it works, but I'm batting 0% in the last 2 times I've used them. First time, I landed in Montreal Trudeau airport, phone did not work despite loading up the the right APN settings. After calling support and talking to them for an hour, they fixed it. Now days later, I received a text that I exceeded my daily 100mb limit when I haven't used the phone once. When I called, they insisted I used the data. I thought, hmmm, maybe some apps in my phone was using data in the background without me knowing, so 2 months later, I decide to give them another try. I now am in Vancouver and again, the phone does not work. It keeps showing up with no carrier despite my location being in downtown Vancouver. I've been working with support for a few hours now and still no resolution. I think this is it. I'm writing these guys off. Buyers beware. read more

UPDATED 02.01.2015 (see below for update) This was a terrible result and customer support is none existent. I went on holiday for two weeks and needed internet access for my work. I contacted them and told them I had a Verizon Iphone that permitted international data roaming. I was told that Verizoin doesn't really have an international data roaming sim, and that I would have to go to Verizon and have them unlock it with proof that it was unlocked before they would send me SIM card. (keepgo if you are listening, the ID for this email is 16165). I was then told I could get a MIFI device (for an extra fee) for that would do all I needed. I ordered the MIFI. I was then told, that the MIFI I ordered couldn't be ordered, but that for an extra fee (again) they could upgrade my MIFI. I upgraded. I also requested, pursuant to their information on their website, to request an additional battery so that I can use the device all did. I did. I then got the MIFI and it didn't have an extra battery and the device wouldn't turn on (I believe the battery was busted). I called their "support number" and they said that they couldn't help me, but that they would forward my "concern" to the correct department and they would email me. Of course, I don't have email because that was the purpose of having the MIFI internet access in the first place. As such, each day I had to travel to a city with wifi to get any information from them, and then get the reply the next day since they would not reply right away. I was told that they would send me a replacement MIFI in France, but I never got one and they never responded with any information about sending it. (again keepgo, that email id is 16856). After several days, I took out the sim card and put it in my phone and it worked. But did they reverse the charge for the MIFI that didn't work? No, that would be what you would expect from a good business. So, the short story is that you will get upsold, and then they won't deliver the service, and if you have problems, they won't be there to help you. If all goes well then I am sure the service is fine since they are just reselling another networks access. UPDATE: After some emailing with customer service, Keepgo agreed to refund the costs of the MIFI that did not work. I updated the review to "ok" since at least they reversed the charges, and did provide a sim card that worked with my cellphone. UPDATE AGAIN: In January 2015 I got an email offering to refund all the charges with the Keepgo product during my trip. I checked their website, and it appears that Keepgo has changed its process. First, they don't send you used MIFIs anymore. The price is higher, but it appears that you get to keep the MIFI and use it for future trips. Second, and in my mind, they now offer support by phone. That was a big problem when I was using the device, they would only offer support by email so you would have to go to a wifi spot, email them, and then wait a day for a solution. read more

BAD. This is the worst service ever. They don't have any tech support, and their "customer service" is out of India--they barely know the name of the company, and don't know what that the company actually sells SIM cards. The SIMs DON'T WORK, and they just don't seem to care. None of what they promised worked. I am technically savvy, and know a lot about phones in other countries--I bought another SIM in London when I couldn't get this working after days of trying to figure out what was wrong without any issues. This service used to be good when it was called iPhoneTrip or something like that. I had used them in the past and they offered unlimited access for a fixed amount of money for a period of days while you were traveling. After they rebranded, now they changed their offer to provide less value. They do not offer unlimited access, but some fixed amount of bandwidth per day. They said that for $10/day you could send thousands of messages with photos and videos, and you didn't need to worry about running out. But after two days, my balance is 0, which means they did not charge $10/ day but they basically said that because I went over a limit of bandwidth, then they deducted from all the balance, so now I am at 0 with no connectivity in Ireland. I payed $107 for 10 days, and i hardly sent total more than 30 text message. And I couldn't send any photo in a text message. It is a scam, basically. I will never use this service again. read more
