I came in to exchange a pie I bought the day before because I thought it was a little doughy. Turns out that wasn't the case, it's just the way the pie was supposed to be and was something I wasn't familiar with. The manager Christian assured me it was in no way an issue and was happy to exchange my pie and even threw in a free whoopie pie for my troubles. Christian offered amazing customer service unlike anything I've experienced and was an absolute pleasure to talk to. I look forward to returning to this establishment.

It's a small deli with limited grocery items. They have a table of baked goods including Whoopi's pies. They sell their own soupy- which you can only get at certain places. They make grinders - made to order. I stopped in for prosciutto they did not carry it. The other meats were not overpriced. I did get some of the seafood salad it was good, I would buy it again. I was with another person who they provided the deli order to but when I was waited on they hand walked it to the counter and told me when I was ready to check out to let the cashier know it was mine - weird -considering it was a $3 value I had nothing in my hands as opposed to the other I was with $20+ with multiple items in hand. Workers- not the happiest.

This was my first trip to camp yawgoog (RI) with the Boy Scouts. We were looking for some food to grill; While shopping in the obvious local stop and shop, someone referred us to Ma and Pa's Country Store for some steak and I am SO happy that they did. When we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome by Christian and other staff. We placed an order for 17 ribeyes, Christian cut each piece to our specifications (1inch thick), like a work of art. He asked if we would like the fat trimmed or left on, he educated (not lectured) us on the cut, marbleization, etc. We had a great conversation that covered many topics. Back at the camp site, each troop member seasoned there steak to their liking (I used Himalayan salt and black pepper). We grilled it on an open camp fire; we had, arguably the BEST steak ever. We all raved about the dinner (mostly about the steak). Christian and the staff were super friendly, the store is clean with a good selection of groceries. LAST DAY OF CAMP: The food and service was so good, I stopped back this morning and order another 14 ribeyes to take home to my family of 5 (we will vacuum seal some for later in the week). Of course I had another great experience today. Please patronize this local family owned store for superb food and great customer service! See you next year!

Staff made me feel unwelcome. After several visits the staff acted in an odd way that made feel uncomfortable.

I really don't like eating low.. so let me start with the positive: the waitress we had had a very…read moresweet personality and she was very willing to find out which items were fresh and which frozen... so although she said it was very good and popular, the seafood and onion rings are all frozen. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan with gluten free pasta and I actually liked it enough to bring my leftovers with me (If something isn't great I tend to leave leftovers). Eggplant was thinly sliced and crispy. My father ordered a baked stuffed quahog, and a Greek salad. He wasn't happy with either & thought the salad dressing came straight from a bottle. He did have New England clam chowder (not homemade, Snows) which he did like. Mom ordered an eggplant grinder that was good, but needed more sauce. The atmosphere was a family run Italian restaurant kind of vibe. There was a dessert counter with desserts that looked bakery made. Based on the delicious smell of the place, my guess is that the pizza and grinders are probably very good too. I think perhaps my father just ordered the wrong things? I'm not willing to rate this place less than 3 because the eggplant parm and the service were so good. I bet if we gave them another try and stuck w Italian entrees we would have been a lot happier.

The Italian Stallion at Little Country Pizza is not just food - it is a culinary adventure!…read more Imagine this: pepperoni pizza folded like a calzone... then stuffed with a full Italian grinder. **November 2025: Sunday Late Morning Visit**…read more I had ulterior motives to coming to Little Country Pizza as my friend and I had been Dambo Troll hunting all morning and I was in dire need of a bathroom. We walked in thinking we could probably grab a drink or patron the restaurant to use their facilities and were greeted by the host with open arms. I asked what their shop was known for and she immediately said the Italian Stallion was their claim to fame. My friend and I decided we could share one. The ambiance is very casual and homey. As we waited I noticed a table of self serve water along with some board games. I helped myself to a glass and was started by how crisp and clean it tasted. I drank 4 glasses of that refreshing water and even complimented it to our waitress. She proudly thanked me and said that it was well water and the same water was used to proof the pizza dough. We did wait a bit (maybe 20 minutes or so), but it looked like it was made to order and we demolished the pepperoni calzone, sandwich. I never thought to have a pepperoni pizza as the bread part of the sando and the crisp lettuce combined with the pungent raw onion gave ever bite a different texture and burst of flavor. We were happy campers. I'm still thinking about that well water even a week later. I would definitely come back again.
