The food is pretty good at this establishment. We had the Burbon Chicken and the Chicken and Veggies. We also had the hot and sour soup which could have been a little more spicier. The egg rolls are good too. The service is pretty good although I had to repeat myself a few times. I guess that's the language barrier. This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had in Houston area. It was cheap food and not worth the $16 for one person. gen. Tso's and eggrolls. And no soy sauce, no condiments, no silverware, & no drink. i give all places 3 times your out, but this place is out on the first try. read more

The food tastes as if it was burnt and cooked in old grease. The staff didn't wear gloves or hair nets when handling the food. The young man in the glasses kept coughing over the serving pans of food. Also he never cleaned his hands after wiping and scratching his arms, nasty. This place serves different flavors of chicken that are cooked on a grill that seem to be over loaded with grill burnt meat. This gives the meat a burned under flavor no matter what you order. I just can't return and would advise others to try a different place. Money wasted. The only good thing to report was that the boss/manager was polite. read more

We were hungry for chinese and noted the 4.5 rating so went to check it out. Brother and I both got a two entree meal each. Its a buffet line set up like Panda Express. Options were limited with 4 or 5 chicken and only one beef and one shrimp. We came at an off hour, 3:30pm on a Saturday so some items were low. Quality is just ok as chicken options I had (pineapple and spicy) were overcooked and thus fairly dry. My brother said the chicken and broccoli had no flavor so he didnt finish his. I liked the rice. Hot and sour lacked that rich flavor and was light on both hot and sour flavor. Price is reasonable and you get alot of food. Just think the flavor and freshness is lacking. read more

Im visiting for work and don't have any family in Texas City so I thought it would be a good idea to grab a bite to eat and sit down so originally I stopped at Udo Japan, but they were closed for the holiday. Wrong choice I should have went home. I ordered the two meat plate with the sweet and spicy shrimp and the general tso chicken with half rice half noodles. I got a wonton soup and fried dumplings. The soup and dumplings were fine but the plate wasn't appealing at all. The noodles were stuck together and dry the rice was bland and over cooked even after adding soy sauce I couldn't pallet the side no biggie I was going to just eat the main but the chicken was dry and the shrimp was hard and chewy. I'm not the type of person who likes confrontation so I asked for a refund for my plate the lady brought me $1 per management I informed her I would like a refund for the whole plate as I didn't touch anything (mind you I dined in they saw me not eat it i noticed a camera right in my direction). The owner (I assume) got really upset and said he doesn't do that, I let him know I didn't eat any of it and he said "it's not like I could put it back" [well no usually it gets thrown away where it belongs of course you can't put it back but most places if the customer is not satisfied they give them a refund (mind you I paid cash, so no hassle and he could have kept the tax)] I said "I understand that may I just get a new plate because the items I got were old," "no ma'am I can replace the shrimp and that's it." So again I said "well I didn't eat any of it so that's not really fair and he said "we don't do that". unfortunately i couldn't take pictures of the food to show you guys because I left crying and hungry because not only am I alone on the Fourth of July I'm also hungry because that was all the money I had. If you can avoid wasting your money here I would suggest you do so the food has no flavor and it sits out all day. The owner is a nasty person and does not deserve good peoples business. I'm not a scammer or anything I work hard for my money and all I wanted was a decent meal and he robbed me of that on a HOLIDAY!!! For a fast, affordable lunch this is a great place. The food is served on a steam table and you select what you want, just like panda express. I do believe the food is better here. I have a thing for eggrolls, and these are some of the best eggrolls I've come across in quite a while, I would highly recommend them. read more

Good! They have alot of food options hot and ready to serve. I got the pepper steak and chicken and broccoli. I enjoyed it. We got in right before the lunch rush. Once 11am rolled around they started getting packed. People from the refineries, police, and tons of other people. Just opened recently, but it seems like a very good option for some one short on time and wanting a hot tasty meal. They didn't have many vegan options (my wife is a vegan). The website claims they do; but I'm aware Ma Ma Fu restaurants in different parts of the country have slightly different items depending on the area. So no fault their. My wifey liked the Lo Mein noodles which are vegan friendly at this location. My two meat combo and sides, and my wife's Lo Mein noodles came out $17.42. Not bad I'd say. Their portion size is good. I felt satisfied and not overstuffed. So yeah great portion size. The man serving the food at the counter was friendly and explained everything well. Good stuff. read more

Stayed in texas city, was looking some a late lunch. Sorry no pictures but we ordered 2 combo plate with lo mein sub for fried rice with drink and eggroll. Good price for the amount of food. I ate a lot and still had this left. Not over the moon for their food but it was good. General Tao's needed a little more kick (I like it spicy) but the Pineapple Chicken was delicious! The Bourbon Chicken was really good too. Service is great.
