This is the 3 item, combo - Rice, bourbon chicken, black pepper chicken, and hot spicy chicken.

It's a family owned business. The service is great. Food is amazing. The decorations are nice.

so good and so cheap! love this place. definitely won't be disappointed if you come here

Pepper steak, chicken and broccoli, and fried rice. Comes with an egg roll or cheese filled chip looking thing also (Crab Rangoon).

Good! They have alot of food options hot and ready to serve. I got the pepper steak and chicken and broccoli. I enjoyed it. We got in right before the lunch rush. Once 11am rolled around they started getting packed. People from the refineries, police, and tons of other people. Just opened recently, but it seems like a very good option for some one short on time and wanting a hot tasty meal. They didn't have many vegan options (my wife is a vegan). The website claims they do; but I'm aware Ma Ma Fu restaurants in different parts of the country have slightly different items depending on the area. So no fault their. My wifey liked the Lo Mein noodles which are vegan friendly at this location. My two meat combo and sides, and my wife's Lo Mein noodles came out $17.42. Not bad I'd say. Their portion size is good. I felt satisfied and not overstuffed. So yeah great portion size. The man serving the food at the counter was friendly and explained everything well. Good stuff.

Good price for the amount of food. I ate a lot and still had this left. Not over the moon for their food but it was good. General Tao's needed a little more kick (I like it spicy) but the Pineapple Chicken was delicious! The Bourbon Chicken was really good too. Service is great. Very attentive and greeted everyone with a smile :)

Not the worst Chinese food I've ever had, but it's close. Chicken was way overcooked and tough. The rice was good though.

The food was great, with quick service. Wide selection. You can eat there but it is more of a takeout place.

Menu doesn't really change much. Wish they would change things sooner. Service is pretty quick, usually don't have to wait to order.

Really enjoyed the food here. Egg rolls were small but good. The bourbon chicken was great.

It was an excellent little takeout Chinese place. But they sold that location and just operated their main store in Texas City -- which was still worth the drive from Seabrook (seriously). We like to travel around and try different places, but we always compared every neighborhood Chinese takeout joint to Qing Qing. Sadly, I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon. This past weekend, we burned some gasoline to go pick up an order of steamed dumplings, sesame chicken and hot & sour soup. Oh... and some plump egg rolls. When we arrived home and unpacked the bag, we were extremely disappointed. Though the service was quick, everything tasted like the kitchen was (too) quick as well. The chicken was as dry as the Sahara Desert, while the dumplings were as mucky as a Louisiana swamp. The soup was OK, though I had to doctor it, but the egg rolls were definitely Sysco ... and not the plump crispy goodness that we had become accustomed to. I wouldn't post a review like this if I thought a business was having a bad day. I mean, we all have bad days. But this was different across the board. Either the place was sold, or the owners went in a totally different direction.

There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but I felt Basil House deserves a go. Essentially a hole in the wall, it's located along Palmer Highway not too far from where it meets 146. The building may look small, but the interior begs to differ somewhat. This is the third time I use "Vietnamese," but what's so unique about this eatery is that it also offers Thai dishes. I decided to do both for my first visit; I ordered a Vietnamese grilled pork rice plate and Thai chicken skewers. My orders arrived at my table at the same time, which I thought was nice. Regarding the skewers, the chicken was pretty sizable. It was so tender that it came off the stick after a bite or two. I must admit it was dry, but still a nice way to start a meal. As for the main star of the show, the rice plate, I have nothing but immense love for it. The kitchen staff wasn't stingy with the amount of meat they placed on the plate. Tender just like the chicken, the grilled pork carried a sweet taste that got even better when dipped in the accompanying fish sauce. Oh, I forgot to mention the skewers and the rice plate had cucumbers, which raised the tangy factor. I capped everything off with fried banana and vanilla ice cream. A man who I assumed was the owner of the place acted as my server. He did an outstanding job, refilling my drink and giving me extra napkins. By my estimate, Basil House is the closest Vietnamese restaurant to my house. No need to travel at least ten miles if I want my fill in ice plates, spring rolls, or even pho.

The truth is, I didn't actually enjoy the food very much. Unfortunately, other than Panda Express, I don't think there's another Chinese restaurant here. I will say this though, the service was wonderful and the building is quite interesting. Would I recommend? Nah, not really. Would I go back? Maybe, if I knew the company I was going with would be good enough for me to overlook the food.

It's the best I've ever had! Each dish has a unique taste and texture, even when they seem the same. The combos come with egg rolls, fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken or pork, which are all exceptional as well. Not only is their food delicious, but it's also healthy. The Moo Goo Gai Pan even has bamboo chutes! All the waiters a waitresses are really nice, never getting annoyed by the complications of your orders. They even let my very picky brother change out the sweet and sour chicken for soup, and the fried rice for white rice, never even a single frown or glare. Also, everything there looks so authentic! When you walk in the door, there are two happy Buddha statues; one small and gold sitting on a table, and one large on the way to the seating area. Rumor says, if you rub the large statue's belly, you get good luck! The seating places are exquisite as well. They even have a wall made of rock!
