I just wanted to share with other people looking for apartments the experience that I had at MAA Barton Creek at 2001 South Mopac Expressway. I'm a black person and there was another black lady named Therese Felder in The leasing office at MAA Barton Skyway. I walked in to look at an apartment after calling her on the phone. Therese Felder, The MAA leasing agent, seemed to be in a bad mood, rude and unhappy with her job when I arrived and refused to show me any of the vacancies at the complex. She asked me to come back in 20 minutes when her co-worker Sandy was there so that one of them could show me a unit. I walked around the grounds of MAA and there was trash everywhere around the grounds the dog park and the dumpster at the gate was overflowing with garbage & smelled. I saw leaks and running water coming out of many units outside walls in that complex and repair trucks were everywhere. I came back to The MAA leasing office 20 minutes later and the other lady named Sandy was there and she also said that she didn't have the time to show me a vacant apartment and was rude. I'm very disappointed with MAA and all of their properties, so I decided to rent at the Gables next door which I love. I hope this helps all you people that are looking for apartments. High level summary: If you live in building 24 or 25 you're going to really love the garbage men that come anywhere between 2:20am - 5:30am, mostly in the 3am range on Thursday/Friday mornings. If you don't believe me I've made sure to post pictures of this. Not only is it loud they also leave trash and broken glass in the street. I'm pretty sure that's a safety/health hazard? Also, the management team continues to promise that they'll have the trash pickup after 5:30am (still too early but better than 2am), but 3 months later after emailing them every week and it's the same result. MAA how about we hire a new vendor!! It's really not that hard. How would you like it if I banged on your window every Thursday morning at 2:20am, probably wouldn't? I will say Gabriel the maintenance guy is top notch. He has to deal with so much and he's been the only breath of fresh air since moving here, give the man a raise b/c I'm sure he's tired of having to clean up after the garbage people every week. If you can avoid the building I mentioned the place wouldn't be half as bad and I wouldn't be leaving a sour review. But if you live by the trash area please do yourself a favor and find another apartment. read more

Find somewhere else to live. With as much as these apartments cost, there are plenty of other options out there. Poor management that only seems to be interested in messing with residents and nickel and diming them, including ridiculous move out fees. My experience includes being harassed by a former employee for having my dog off leash in front of my place, while standing right next to my tiny dog. Then I was threatened with a $100 fine repeatedly for having the dog off leash, even though it wasn't clear right away this was an issue. My friends car was towed from in front of my place, without any advance noticed or warning. When I asked the mgmt office about it, they said no one could be parked on the red lines. But when I pointed out literally every car parked in the driveway of their apartment is over the red lines, mgmt said they choose to ignore that... which makes no sense. If it's a violation to park over red lines, then it should be applied everywhere, not based on someones arbitrary feelings. Had this been made explicitly clear, or had anyone given me a quick call, I could've moved the car. Instead I had to spend 2 hours and $300 to go get the car from the tow yard. Maintenance, while nice, is slow to respond. It usually took a few calls to the office to have anything done. And even with calling a few times, they would at times only complete part of the request and not all, leaving me to have to call again and again. Trash pickup is a joke and the trash area is disgustingly full about half the time. I don't know how the city isn't fining them repeatedly for this. I then figured when I moved out, everything would be better... but I was wrong about that. They offered an 'express clean' which was the same cost as my deposit, so I accepted the offer and then moved out when my lease was up. A few days later I received a bill including fees for cleaning and trash removal. I left a few small items in the apartment and they charged me an extra $80 removal fee for this. When I asked what did the 'express clean' cover, I received no response. I was also charged for having hung pictures on the wall. They charge $7 per hole, resulting in another $120 in post move out fees. This is the only apartment I've ever lived in that charged for tiny holes in the walls from pictures. They said page 30-31 in the lease agreement has the information.... so I was supposed to remember 30 pages worth of fine print a year after moving in to realize this... makes no sense. I've lived here for 4 months now and I can honestly say this is one of my favorite complexes I've ever lived in. The front desk is helpful and kind. When I moved in we had one maintenance man and he always came within the same day or next day of submitting a request! Be careful there is limited guest parking so people park wherever they want at the front. However For living in the green belt there's not horrible bugs everywhere just on occasion. 1 star is beyond generous for this disaster of a complex. My experience (and the experience of a few other friends and coworkers currently trying to get out of their leases) is very similar to that of the previous reviews. In the 12 months we were at Post, we had to make more than 40 service requests for issues such as roaches, insect infestation, mold, and a faulty A/C unit. Roaches/cricket infestation: Our apartment was treated for pests (roaches & crickets) 13 times. Neither continual pest control services nor the replacement of both front & garage door sweeps resulted in improved conditions, as there were still roaches in the apartment on a regular basis One morning, we woke to find at least 50 crickets crawling around the base of our stairs and a few hundred in the garage. I wish I could say this was an exaggeration, but photos we've taken prove otherwise. There were crickets falling out of the ceiling vents and in every single light fixture. We alerted Post of this insect infestation - even up to the Vice President level of the company - everyone up to the vice president played it off like this was a totally normal situation. Horrifying. A/C: What A/C? Ours never worked. In less than a 2 month span, our A/C unit broke 4 times. Post maintenance: "found an evap leak", "replaced schradder", "installed can of stop leak", and "replaced capcitor". Each day the A/C unit broke, we came home to find the apartment at nearly 90 degrees which was obviously extremely dangerous as our dog was in the house. Post completely disregarded the situation and the well-being of the dog, ignoring all requests to replace the unit with a properly functioning one. Parking: Ha. What parking? There is maybe 1 guest spot for every 20 apartments. The apartments were jammed in so tightly that when our neighbors parked their car in their driveway, there was no way for us to park our car in ours. Neighbors: Of the 6 complexes I've lived in in Austin, this one takes the cake for highest number of people feeling like it's not their job to pick up their own dog's poop. It was actually incredible. There were poop mines everywhere and it was disgusting. Maintenance: Yes, they come within a day or two...but don't expect the job to get done the first time...or the second time...or the third time... It got to a point that we expected that we would need to file a request and have a maintenance man come over at least 2-3 times before anything was fixed. Quality: At first glance, it seems like a nice place, but it's actually a high-end dump. Low-quality furnishings and shoddy work in general. When we moved in, the bathtub caulking was a good 2 inches away from the wall, so we had to file a request for the bathtub to be re-caulked or else there would have been a pool of water sitting between the caulking and the wall. To top it off, as a "thank you" for all the garbage we had to deal with over our year at Post, management had the nerve to try and raise our rent. During the first few months of living in Post, we couldn't figure out why there were at least 3-4 moving trucks in the complex per week. Shortly after, it became very obvious. With all the options out there in Austin, I would never wish this place on my worst enemy. It's infested, dirty, shoddy and I would never live here again, even if they paid me. read more

I've lived here since February. Positives: Really pretty, right on the green belt near Barton Creek, lots of trees, love the 3-story layout, lots of light, very quiet. Staff is super nice. There are some bugs around, but a pet-friendly exterminator will come into your home and spray if you want as part of your rent. Negatives: Almost zero guest parking. The garages are verrrrrrrry narrow. If you're getting the 1-car garage, only a small car can fit. I have a Ford Fiesta. My first week here, when I was backing out, I hit my passenger side mirror and the whole thing came off. $500 to replace. Now I am extremely careful when backing up and going in. I feel like I've gotten better w practice. But most of my neighbors have to park in their driveways. Their cars are just too big to get I the garages. And every couple of weeks management sends an email reminding people they will tow if people aren't in very strict lines. read more

Okay, seriously. I haven't lived in an apartment complex since college. (Think DECADES, not years) so I was a little apprehensive. And I LOVE my new Post Barton Creek town home. As an empty nester whose adult daughter moved back home with me, we needed new larger digs, and we needed them fast. Since first embracing my empty nest 2 years ago, I'm totally over yard work and home repairs and didn't want to go back to that. From my first visit to my second maintenance ticket this, my first week in residence, these guys have treated me like royalty. Sonna knew the first day I visited the property what I was looking for and offered me exactly the right apartment among several to choose from. She even pulled out the carpets and put in plank floors and discounted the quiet, woods-view unit on a cul-de-sac just for me. And what can I say about Marcus? That man is sunshine on two legs. My daughter and I both love running into him when we need to get something from the office. He and Sonna are both very responsive to emails, too. On the maintenance side, Sean and Chris are both awesome. From impromptu move-in needs to less than 24-hour turn around on little maintenance items, they've both come through multiple times in the week we've been here. Chris even offered to call first when he comes by during the day after I mentioned I work from home and often take conference calls in the living room and work in my PJs. Sonna's suggestion for us was spot on. The location is super quiet, the view in the mornings from the kitchen is amazing, and I even love the light Saturday and Sunday morning chatter of young boys playing tag with their Super Soakers in the driveway. It's such a happy sound. Clearly whatever issues some of the older reviews had about Post Barton Creek have been solved by the current management. I haven't seen a single bug, the landscaping is beautiful and meticulously maintained, and the parking issues were pointed out to me on my first tour. (Sonna even offered a generous and ingenious secret solution anytime I needed to have a dinner party.) My gorgeous unit, huge garage, and great amenities are worth adapting for just a bit to the realities of this prime central/Westlake location. Now...I think I'm going to find more excuses to stop by the office and grab a hot chocolate with my new besties. Maybe right after I learn how to use the gym equipment? read more

In the last several months its become clear a lot of changes have been in the works and are being implemented by management. The property seems to be turning around for the better. The units are homey - we love having separate floors for kitchen/living and bedrooms. My wish is they would update the appliances and finish outs but the apartment is still homey nonetheless. read more

I have lived at Post Barton Creek for almost a year. It is a beautiful property! Great location - Close to Zilker Park, downtown, The Domain area is only 10-15 minutes (without rush hour traffic of course). All my neighbors are nice & friendly. The leasing office will email you if a package is delivered to the office. Maintenance responds FAST if you put in a work order. The entire staff is nice, knowledgeable, & helpful. I noticed that some people have commented on the parking...my only opinion on that is...You know there isn't much guest parking when you move in so I'm not sure why people complain about it. You can't find a townhome with a garage in this location anywhere in the area that does offer lots of guest parking. read more

I'm much delayed in writing this update and I'm happy to report that the on-property management saw this review and acted promptly to address the problems I've experienced. The new property manager, Josh, took my concerns seriously and sincerely wanted to make sure that things were corrected. With respect to the issues in my unit, I learned that the maintenance staff had changed--apparently due to management's realization that work completed was inconsistent and there were too many instances of shortcuts being taken to just check the box. So, while I was away on vacation, Josh had the maintenance team come into my apartment and adjust all the doors throughout the residence. Now everything latches properly, even if the front door still needs a good push to make sure it clicks. The garage door also operates better than before...not perfect but I've noticed that other units are having their garage doors replaced so perhaps this is something the next tenant in this unit will enjoy. All in all, though, it's the little things that make a difference and these small improvement has certainly made living here a better experience. The management has also been a bit more focused on how tenants treat the property outside their own units. Generally, everything looks just looks a bit more "kept up" an uncluttered. The problem that continues to persist is pet waste and, honestly, I really don't know what else the property can do. There are waste containers and bags all over the property--literally within 100 feet of any place you stand on the property, often located precisely where most people take their dogs--and yet a lot of people seem to think that it's someone else's responsibility to clean up after their pet. I hate to say it, but I guess you'll run into inconsiderate people/pet owners pretty much anywhere. Net-net, it's not perfect but that's an unreasonable bar to set for any rental property. The management and maintenance is much improved, my immediate neighbors are good people, and the location is great for someone like me who works in West Austin and enjoys heading into downtown regularly (but has no interest in living downtown). I suspect that, with a bit more time, the new management will continue to make improvements that will continue to make Post Barton Creek even better. read more

I have been living at Post Barton Creek for about a year and have had a decent experience. The management staff is friendly and helpful. The units themselves are a bit dated for Austin standards and the actual property/amenities are minimal. The gym is tiny. My biggest issue with this property is the case of the disappearing packages. If I am not sending packages to the front office or present at home during delivery, the package disappears. This is odd because my unit faces the greenbelt and is very tucked away. The community is gated and there is no public traffic in front of my door. I would get a few people walking by a week. However, every time a package is left out, it is stolen. It is very concerning as the front door is concealed from the majority of the other tenants and it's a gated community so there is no access to foreign individuals. This makes me suspect of the management company, staff or other tenants. They would be the only ones aware of my front door and they would have to walk by the door to even see the package. I have complained to the front office but no resolution has been offered. I feel extremely violated and uncomfortable living here. Very disappointed tenant. read more

I lived here for 21 months and loved it. Because it's older, the space is a lot bigger for the price. There is a nice family friendly vibe and everyone smiles and waves. The amenities are great as well! I've read reviews in the past about bugs, but I didn't see it as an issue. If you do notice more bugs than normal, maintenance will quickly treat the space with a spray. The leasing agents are friendly enough. Pros: Value for the space. Great bang for your buck! Pool Location Security Maintenance staff Cons: PARKING. The constant threats of towing are annoying. No one is going to park on the side streets! However, in my experience, they don't actually tow your car, just occasionally ticket. If you have the choice, look for an apartment on the end of a row or where you can wedge your car in front of the garage without blocking the whole street. read more

this property is too expensive when compared to other similar properties and the building itself was too old. I could hear any sound from neighbor clearly and air conditioner compressor noise was so horrible. swimming pool, fitness center, ... I don't know why they made such a poor place. the worst thing was the manner of the people in the office. they only sent one paper notice that I need to let them know two month before leaving. I thought I could get any email on the day that left two months, but they didn't sent me any additional notice. and I forgot the signing for more than 15 days. they charged me one additional month rental payment as a penalty. I really disappointed about how they handle this kind of issues and delay. they keep talk it is regulation of the property and they already DID THEIR BEST. Not a good thing during the summer in Austin. This is an overpriced dump that's run by rude and intolerable people. I've lived in EIGHT apartment complexes so far in my life. Four of those have been in Austin. There are pros and cons (as with any place of residence that you don't outright own), so I'll discuss a few of those, but this place has been fantastic overall. The cons aren't even that bad at all, and I am ecstatic to have lived here now for about 5 months. Pros: Location - it's close to everything, but tucked away enough that you don't get weird, random people breaking into things. Staff - They are INCREDIBLE. Sonna and Marcus are so easy to work with. I've been dealing with the gas company messing up my bill and random maintenance issues and they always come to the rescue in a timely fashion. The maintenance guys are incredibly nice as well. They work hard to keep the property looking good. Price - I don't know where other people are finding better prices. This place felt like we were striking gold - and it still feels that way. Maintenance - This goes along with staff, but they need their own bullet point as well. When you put in a maintenance request, it's done exceptionally well and quickly. Community - This seems to be an older community that has kids. The pro to that is, it's quiet and people are respectful of each other. Aesthetic - They are painting the exterior from an ugly yellow to a beautiful gray. Although the red doors aren't my jam. The overall aesthetic of the complex looks great!! The painters are very respectful as well. Pool - The pool is nice, and has a great atmosphere. Cons: Older property. Expect things to break or for there to be a few issues. It's not been bad at all. No place you look at will offer you no-breaks guarantee because that's not realistic. Walls - The walls are thin. Like I said, it's an older building. The great thing is, the people we are around are quiet and respectful. Trash - The trash is right by the dog park. It get smelly, but people who live there don't know how to pick up dog doo-doo and put it in the designated dog doo-doo bin so it's probably just a combo of the two. read more

I am very conflicted about our time here at Post Barton Creek. I think the pros and cons weigh in about evenly. PROS: -Very friendly staff. Even though the entire front office management and the manager of maintenance have all changed since we've been here, I really liked everyone. -Prompt response to service requests. (Every request I've put in has been corrected within the same day, obviously if it was during business hours). -Clean and reasonably updated interior -Proximity to downtown -Lots of natural light (LOVE that). CONS: -Sloppy workmanship on repairs. When I reported a water leak that stained our kitchen ceiling, the maintenance guy showed up promptly, which was great, but did a "slap on some paint with a roller" job in 5 minutes. The paint job is, well, obviously poor, and some of the paint spattered in the kitchen. Also, the general aesthetic upkeep of the place was poorly done - messy caulk, messy paint job on bathroom trim. It's not a biggie, but I would do better. -No parking. I'm thankful for the garage, but if guests want to park, there a little bitty space in front of your garage that you are allowed to use, and that's it. There are very few guest parking spaces, and they are always used by not-so-thoughtful tenants. We've wanted to host people at our house, but we have no place for them to park. -Our hall closet on the first floor smells like pee. The maintenance people came and tried to clean it up, but it's never been better. I'd pester them, but I don't know what's to be done. -For people with small kids, note that the roads in the complex take lots of turns and don't have great visual clearance to see pedestrians. We have two small children with no backyard, so we try to walk around the complex, but I live in terror for my toddler's life when she runs away from me. Cars come around the curves really fast. -Like Ajna V, we've had packages disappear too. I'm nervous about that, as our front door also backs up to the Greenbelt. When I can't find a package, the front office is empathetic but unhelpful. All in all, we've enjoyed it here. But there's definitely room for improvement. read more

Almost a 3 year resident here and my last term has taken a turn for the worse. New property manager is horrendous. Absolute terrible person. The place is loud and there is constant construction at odd hours. Very thin walls, and next to a major highway. Maintenance can never seem to Fix my A/c that sounds like a jet engine they refuse to replace. Also every garage door in the place is failing and falling part, tearing up peoples cars. There is absolutely no additional parking, so don't plan on having any guests over. NIGHTMARE!!!! My car has been towed twice in two months being parked within the gated community in legal spots. I've been threatened and harassed by management to the point of no return. I've been verbally abused by these people and threatened with "further correspondence" designed for failure. While I think if you pay $1,800 + a month to live somewhere, the residents would be professionals who are courteous and polite. This is completely untrue. While there is a generous pet policy, people here do not adhere to the lease with respect to pets. For example, the weight limit for dogs is 80 pounds IN TOTAL for 2 dogs. I see people with 2 dogs that each weigh as much as a teenage girl. The lease also requires people to clean up after their pets. Well, the people with the 100 pound dogs leave mounds of feces in the dog park, in the parking lot, on the sidewalks...it is repulsive. I step in dog feces at least once a week. I know I pay for location and a garage, which I LOVE. I think management is great, and they truly try their best to make you happy. Kelly is incredibly kind and I know none of these issues are her fault. She is probably given a budget for repairs and she and her agents rent out to people who can afford rent. I don't know how anyone can enforce people to be polite and to pick up after their pets without following people around and doing "poop patrol". I would much rather spend more money to rent a house than to live in complex covered in dog feces and filled with rude neighbors. read more

Today is the second time in 2 months that the AC has broken. The maintenance guys are always courteous professional and seem to be very knowledgeable. And Josh is probably the nicest person I've ever met. However in direct contrast the woman who answered the phone to take my service call was curt, interrupted me and needs to work on at least feigning interest in her job. You have heard of BUYER BEWARE, well ... how about RENTER BEWARE. In earnest, be careful before you sign on the dotted line. Do your research. Like another reviewer on here named Rebekah D. I am somewhat conflicted -- some serious deal breakers here to consider and yet one or two major positives. The major positive being a gentleman named Darrin. The question is ... is a wonderful and superb office manager named Darrin enough to justify the cons here?!? I will be very honest in this review. I hope you find this helpful. (Meanwhile I have lived in Austin for nine plus years.) I am relatively new to the Post apartments. We moved in here specifically (after thorough research) because it's a town-home and thus with two small children we would have nobody under us or over us. BUT apparently we didn't think sideways. Indeed, sir! Indeed. We were rented a town home in-between two single individuals. Nobody mentioned noise to us at this point. Normally when you pay $1800 (one adult) before utilities you do not expect to be told to walk on tiptoes, literally and figuratively. I am a professional woman in my early forties: partying is not an issue with me so I would warn ANY or ALL others that this is enough for me to advise you to move elsewhere. Look elsewhere!!!! In less than one month now we have received two noise complaints from management/neighbors for "walking loudly up and down the stairs." They have asked us to please reduce the noise and be conscientious of when we walk up and down the stairs -- meanwhile I have a four-year-old little boy and a six-year-old little girl. The term eviction has already been mentioned to me by a female manager a lot less friendly and helpful than Darrin. The attitude, I must confess, was not nice. I was never even asked by this person if I was doing okay with my apartment or if I had any concerns or needed anything. (The old familiar "cha ching" rings through here.) Parking? What guest parking/parking do you refer to? SMILE. Unfortunately, the parking is terrible, and the garages so tight on extended garage that I cannot park my Toyota 4 runner in there so I search for parking almost every night with two small children. I tried parking in my garage for two days but unfortunately damaged my vehicle trying to get in and out. In fact, disclaimer, people are forced to park illegally every night on fire lanes outside their own homes. (I have pictures I need to post). Guest parking in my area equals 10-14 spaces for roughly 60 plus apartments. You do the math and you have figured out the parking. :) Positives: I want to commend the staff, more specifically Darrin in the front office who is helpful, kind, knowledgeable, responsive and was probably the number one reason we moved in. He has not disappointed. Otherwise, it's clean and nice. The staff are responsive and everything I asked was done same day or next. Two treadmills only at Post Barton. Keep in mind that the two adjacent apartment complexes that I looked at (The Gables and The Landing) both are roughly $300-500 cheaper, and have a full spinning room and guy or a full gym. There is no comparison between the pools at The Barton Creek Landing and The Gables versus The Post Barton. Post Barton's pool is really small. Both the Landing and The Gables have different set-ups a lot more suited to families. In fact The Landing has a year round heated pool. The Gables have two pools. YES, a package disappeared on me also. In truth, I had no issues with my unit that were not fixed immediately. I love the idea of the town-home, almost having your own place feel, but it doesn't appear to matter that you have no neighbors above or below you since people complain sideways here, IMMEDIATELY with ANY noise whatsoever. IF I were doing it again I would go GABLES or LANDING. But they don't have someone like Darrin there. :) Why rent a place where you are walking on tiptoes when you can rent a home for the same price? They really make you feel bad without even checking in with you to hear your side of the story. Yes, great location and great school districts but again so too does the Gables, and The Landing. I will keep you posted on how the noise complaints are handled and if they evict me. I want to see if it's handled appropriately and professionally since I signed a twelve-month lease. This review is long over due. I love living at this Post and would give it 5 stars (except for one thing)! Our place has great, comfortable space, nice clean finishes, and I enjoy our balcony and private porch with an amazing view of the Barton Creek Greenbelt. Its pretty quiet, if it weren't for the plants on my neighbor's porch I wouldn't know anyone lived there! Its super central, moments to downtown and quick access to Zilker Park and any shopping you may need to do. The gym is perfect with equipment for a great workout and a killer view of the Greenbelt and *always* clean. The pool and grill is a wonderful retreat after work and on weekends. Save for Saturday afternoon its usually quiet. People are pretty nice, but keep to themselves. The landscaping is thoughtful and well maintained with pretty, seasonal flowers. It makes such a difference to have greenery. Best of all, the office and maintenance staff always responds quickly and efficiently to requests or issues. The few times something's come up, they do a fantastic job and are really friendly. They also coordinate nice community building events like Pizza Nights and donuts in the morning (I appreciate that) as well as a toy drive at Christmas time. As for packages, they receive ours in the office and we've never had anything taken off our porch, when stuff has been delivered there. A HUGE plus is that its zoned in Eanes School District which is outstanding and nationally recognized. Its also really reasonably priced for Austin given the amenities and level of service. The *ONLY* reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the parking situation. I'm not sure what they could even do. Technically we can squeeze 2 cars in front of our garage, which is fine for most of the time. For a complex this size, theres very few guest spaces and they're usually taken by other tennants. During office off-hours we're allowed to use their spots, but there aren't many and fill quickly. Its been suggested there's off-street parking on Barton Bluff Lane or Spy Glass Pky, but that's a bit of a hike to ask guests to take or I'd have to park over there myself. I'd love to reciprocate a small get-together with new friends, but haven't since we moved in because of the parking. Not the end of the world. Its the only negative in what is otherwise a great experience. read more

I have lived there for over 2 years. The first property manager was great. The one that is there now is horrible. Very uncaring. Every time I go in to office she is doing nothing. When you ask her something she makes you feel like you are bothering her. I moved out early so they could rent out my apartment. Now they are overcharging me. Throwing things like resurface tub! When I moved out the tub was spotless. And if you want anything fixed, they just put a bandaid on it. You pay too much money for this very outdated apartment complex with no parking! None. There are too many other places. Do yourself a favor keep driving past 2001 S Mo Pac. Not worth the money. Its noisy and smells like poop. The parking lot has had a sink hole for 2 years. They put a band aid on that too. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Way to expensive for the amenities and management is terrible. As far as the amenities, the pool is way to small for the size of the complex. Good luck getting a chair on a sat or sun. Can't count how many times I went to the gym and wasn't able to work out because only have space for one person on weights and two treadmills for complex of at least fifty apartments. Parking is terrible! Good luck if you want to have friends come over. Management supposedly enforces parking but try finding a visitor space afterhours or on a Sunday. You have one guy that lives in the second building that parks his hummer and bmw next to the post office for what seems like 20 days straight. I guess its ok to use your two car garage as a storage unit. I love dogs but this place is out of control. Office is definitely not enforcing the weight limits. Apparently its ok to have mini horses in this complex. One neighbor has a great dane type dog in his apartment. Several have multiple dogs and the place sounds like a kennel. Stay away from the "dog park". The stench is disgusting, flies and mosquitos unbearable, and they have this water feature for dogs that gets changed twice a year. I swear the water is green and funny part is the water hose is right next to it. The apartments need work. Always have bugs and bug service is a joke. All they do is use a chalk type pencil and put a couple of lines in the pantry and under the sink. AC units are so loud mainly because they are ancient. They basically run 90% of the time and the apartment doesn't cool down. All maintenance does is add Freon and tell you its good to go. Try talking to the manager about any of your issues and all you get is an attitude. For the record the previous manager was professional and did what she could to assist but the current one needs major training. She has no clue what customer service is. I could go on but I think you get the point. not worth the 1,800+ they charge for a two bedroom. I was there two years and most of the neighbors I had left after their first lease is up. Oh yeah, you can also expect a hefty rent increase every year. Only positive was its a quick cab ride or bus ride to downtown and barton springs. Zilker is about a mile and half walk. read more
