I don't go out much, but I met up with some friends here for karaoke one night, and Mabel's Roadhouse has quickly become my go-to when I want a fun night out! The entire staff is amazing--friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun to talk to. Andrew and Jenna are usually my bartenders, and honestly, they're half the fun of going there. They always make you feel welcome, remember you when you come back, and somehow manage to stay on top of everything even when the place gets busy. The atmosphere is super laid-back and fun, karaoke nights are always a good time, and there's just a really comfortable, neighborhood-bar feel that makes it easy to keep coming back. It's rare for me to find a place I actually want to go out to regularly, but Mabel's has definitely become that place for me. Great people, great atmosphere, and always a fun night. Just a bunch of drunks hanging out. The only 2 sober people were the Bartender and me! I ordered a Heineken 00 and it was refreshing! The Bartender was accommodating and poured it in a glass for me! The was clean and the Atmosphere inviting. I would've liked to see a more diverse crowd, other that Anglos! A little too Rednecky for me. Came here after Schooners and it was overly crowded!!! I feel that it's too small in there for how many people they let in. Not sure if they had food options but I know that have liters of beers and margaritas people ordered from my group looked good. They have tables as well on the side by the bar. This bar turns on its regulars. I've made this my local bar to my home for over a year. They concocted a tab that doesn't represent what I ordered and threatened my ability to spend time (and money there) unless I paid for things I didn't order. To add to this issue, they addressed me with this concern from their managing bar tender in an extremely condescending way. Typical dive bar. There are several better ones on the same street I'd like to encourage locals to check out that don't include drama, violence, or premeditated confrontations with their REGULAR customers. What a fun bar right off the main Street of Bouquet. It's obvious the bartenders really enjoy their work, very friendly to customers very friendly to each other. this isn't my first choice when time permits or need demands finding a dive bar when up in this area, but given the recent loss of the country girl this is the place for sure if you're in the area. i have vague memories of being here after making other rounds, meaning i may not have the most distinct recall of when. but i found the location without resorting to my iphone as i prefer to wander a bit to get my bearings. sure enough, maybe because it was still early afternoon, i recognized the place which has an entrance that's a bit awkward being in back of the building facing the river and not the mainroad. the crowd here is just fine for the purpose, friendly and not particularly given to rowdiness, until later in the day perhaps. or when there's motorcycles parked outside. you need a divebar now and then, the bartender here is friendly and there's live music some nights. what's not to like. read more

Andrew is the shit! Love mabels but let's be honest I only go because of Andrew and karaoke nights. Not a bad bar, SCV's version of a "dive bar" which means it's just a regular bar. Andrew is honestly incredible though, he is why I really keep coming back. Karaoke is fun though and drink prices are great. The vodka tonic was brown, and I was verbally and physically attacked by a drunk waitress/bartender in a matter of minutes of being there because she thought I was someone else. I have never stepped foot in this disgusting place before and was told they've told me before to never come back. So I stop by from time to time. Kelseigh is amazing. After visiting twice she knew what my drink was already. Andrew is a great bartender with her. That's what an Ateam is. Found the the tall kid with the ponytail to be rude. He will stand in front of you and as you try to order from him, he will look at you with a blank stare and just keep washing dishes. either he is pretending you don't Exist.
