Gonna be perfectly honest here. Is Ding Tea the best boba I've had in my life? Not really. I've…read morebeen spoiled by the plethora of boba options found up and down California my whole life. Is it good boba and a very solid option especially considering the dearth of boba shops in Central PA? Most definitely. We're talking about a Taiwanese franchise here; you're gonna get good boba with their quality control. I know what I'm getting myself into and every drink I've had here hit its mark. There's a good amount of tea forwardness in the drinks, enough to show itself through the milk or syrup let you know that you're actually drinking tea but without much astringency. There's a decent amount of seating so you can chill with friends over some solid drinks after a meal. I love that there are options that don't just cater to the larger population in the area but also stay true to its roots: I want my wintermelon and kumquat and yakult. I love that they offer crystal boba, grass jelly, egg pudding, cheese cream, and sea foam. It gives us Asian diaspora who are here for school or training or whatever else a place of gathering and satisfies the cravings for flavors that aren't prototypical for Danville/Bloomsburg. I love that it's on Main Street so other people have the opportunity to indulge in the experience that's played a pivotal role in Millennial and Gen Z Asian American culture.

If I could give 6 stars I would. I'm a coffee snob. I say this not to brag, but rather to provide…read morecontext. I've spent a ton of time in serious coffee shops from Shanghai to New York with Q graders and baristas with bonafides. Alabaster can stand up to the best of them. The coffees we tried were fantastic. The Rwandan was delicious and the roast complimented the natural expression of the beans. My dad got the Ugandan which was awesome as well. I grabbed a bag of the Salvadoran beans to take home, and it brews up an amazingly clean and interesting cup (I used a V60). One of the better cafes I've visited in the U.S. with a roaster that knows what they're doing. On top of all that, the tahini date banana bread we tried was seriously good and wasn't a premade, mass produced baked good like so many cafes have resorted to in recent years. On top of that, the cafe was beautiful with reclaimed wood tables. We were traveling with our dog and they allowed her in because she was well-behaved. Nice people, awesome cafe, world-class coffee, and seriously good pastries. Keep up the incredible work! I will be back to Williamsport for more.

There were plenty of outlets along the walls, which made it relatively easy to study. There was a lot of foot traffic, but the overall ambiance did not get too rowdy, providing pleasant white noise. There were a few seasonal specials, but otherwise the selection was not very large. The tea selection was rather small, especially considering it is part of their name. Drinks came out extremely quickly. There was a dish tub near the entrance to drop items off after finishing. I tried their seasonal egg nog cappuccino, and it came out lightly warm. The egg foam was not overwhelming and the spiced notes were well incorporated into the drink. It was not too sweet and gave me a pleasant buzz. I hope to see more diverse tea options in the future, but the overall feel and quality of this cafe were great.
