Ilana was very friendly and in a great mood today. I really like her attitude and she really did a great job. I went for a touch up but didn't know it was supposed to be within 3 weeks so I had to pay full price again. I wish I had written down notes. I got them done thicker this time because my eyebrows are natural that way. They do fade but since my eyebrows grew back I probably won't be doing this anymore. TIP: 1) Parking only on street so plan ahead 2) Take Tylenol and/or a Benadryl 1/2 hour before you go to lessen pain and calm you 3) If you want a Groupon (or other special) just call and Ilana will honor the price without having to go through the outside company 4) Make sure you wash your face or take a shower before your session because you should not put water on the area for at least 24 hours afterwards. 5) Natural eyebrows are not symmetrical so don't expect them to be when you're done. 6) People are nice to you if you are nice to them. I booked highlights and a haircut here, and when I got there, the lady (Ilana) said she wouldn't be able to do a full highlight by just booking the ClassPass. What annoyed me about this is that I messaged her/the salon on IG asking if they have availability on ClassPass for highlights and she easily COULD HAVE told me then that they won't be able to do full highlights via ClassPass, but she didn't.  She just said that I would have to pay an additional $150 ON TOP of the ClassPass - which makes no sense because online the highlights are listed for $150. Anyway, I decided to just do the haircut and not the highlights. The haircut was fine, though she cut it shorter than I initially wanted, it's fine. (Bc the highlights is where I am more pissed off about). After the cut, she then mentioned she could do the highlights but only the bottom half for $100 since my hair was shorter. After a moment of thinking, I asked her if she can show me what it would look like - and she did (it looked like partial highlights) and after showing her MULTIPLE pics of what I wanted; I decided to do it since I was already there.  The whole process from start to finish seemed very rushed and messy. When she was brushing the dye on my hair, it was splashing everywhere - like she was doing it super careless - which worried me. The whole time she kept saying it's going to look way better than the pictures you showed me, and telling me how amazing it is.  After she washed my hair and we were about to dry it, I noticed the bottom half of my hair was super blonde and from that (see picture), I already knew I wouldn't like it. She started to blow dry the front, and that's when it was confirmed. I didn't like it - at ALL. Funny thing is, she really kept saying, "omg it looks amazing!!! I love it." But then when I told her like this doesn't look like highlights.. and it looked super orange-y and not blended, almost like she just dunk my hair in bleach and called it a day.. she goes, "oh yeah, you are right.. you are a smart girl. I can try to fix it for you." I asked her if there was any way she could darken my hair because it is too blonde not what I wanted and if she could fix the orange... then I showed her another picture of how I wanted it. And she's like yea sure we can do that.. in the end, the last result was definitely not what I wanted AT ALL. And she kept saying, it looks great --- you just have to get used to it- - which tbh is not something you want to hear... Overall, annoyed that I PAID extra for this and not happy with my hair AT ALL. Not only did I have to pay extra for this hairdo but now I have to potentially pay more to get it fixed because she clearly was not going to fix it again. She seemed annoyed that I didn't "LOVE IT.." but she clearly does not know what looks good! If you see a ClassPass place that seems too good to be true or notice red flags at the beginning (such as not clearly stating that you don't get full highlights on the app or via message) don't do it! read more

I have to get my brows corrected by someone else now. I noticed the mistakes from the first session, hoping the touch up would complete the look. I felt rushed both times. I think she may have an issue working on black women because she made reference about the blading fading fast on my skin.. She didn't use enough numbing cream both times that it was painful. She gave me a hard time with what I wanted to touch up and didn't listen. She's not very attentive and was taking calls in between. I used a Groupon deal and she was complaining about how much less she gets from Groupon so tips are heavily suggested. I'm a good tipper but for what I got and the service I wish I hadn't. Ilana did my eyebrows a month ago and I am so pleased! First, she showed me the new needle and drew my eyebrows according to my natural shape. This is my first time getting a keratin hair treatment and I must say she did a fantastic job! She knows what she's doing and is very professional.
