I am editing my review because the salon owner called me and was extremely nice. She is working on a price list and is planning to set more reasonable prices for a children's cut and dry in the future and explained to me that at this point it is up to the stylist to explain the pricing and some remember to do it and some don't. I don't fault them for that, and I appreciate them contacting me and trying to make things right by offering a refund of $10....now, I can rest easy knowing that I have definitely found a salon that is professional, nice, courteous and who care about their customers. Five stars! --------------------- Okay I am torn which is the reason for the three stars. The woman who cut my daughter's hair (Sandra!) was the nicest woman I have met in a long time and she was so caring and attentive to both my son and I as well as my daughter. Many times a stylist won't even speak directly to my child. Not the case here. The salon is lovely, clean and the girl at the front desk was sweet. Most importantly: my daughter's hair is amazing. She has never been so happy with a haircut in her life. Sharon listened to both of us and really gave us what we were looking for even with my daughter's double crown and cow licks. I would come back just for her. NOW that being said. One tiny issue and one slightly larger issue. One: the man working today was very nice and friendly and courteous to his clients...and I get that salons are places of gossip and chatter.....but PLEASE lay off the political ranting and debating! Can't a person just relax without hearing about all the drama that's plastered in front of our faces all the time? Very uncomfortable for us sitting in the waiting room. And second: the stylist asked if I wanted my daughter's hair to be blow dried. Of course I did. I figured it would be an extra charge so that's fine......but $25 extra????? My daughter had a short bob and she is seven! The actual haircut itself cost $15! Why not just say all haircuts are $40 instead of pretending that a child's haircut is less expensive and then gouging someone on the blow dry? Sooooo we probably won't come back here just for that....but I would love to come back for the stylist. Too bad for me I guess but $25 just to blow dry a small child's hair is too much and I'm not cheap when it comes to salons and being pampered. I will add pics of the haircut so you can see that it is super cute but also not worth $25 to dry. read more

Been coming here the last few months for my haircut and I have to stay the cut has been better each time. Sandra really knows her stuff. Her specialty is women's hair and coloring but she might as well be a barber because I couldnt tell the difference. She really pays attention to every detail of your hair and doesn't stop until you're completely satisfied. I booked an appointment at the end of the day. Called at 5, appointment at 5:30, I had already colored and dried my hair prior to my reservation. My stylist Martin was very fast and obviously experienced. He had me out in 30 minutes, with a great cut and style. Very impressive, would recommend highly. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I came here on Saturday to cut my hair. I asked to cut some length but add layers in a v shape. The stylist cut my hair and then styled it while he blow dried my hair and it looked really nice. So I went home right after and decided to straighten it to see what it looked like and was absolutely upset and shocked by what was done to my hair. It was so uneven and choppy and just awful that I couldn't help but cry. I ended up having to go somewhere else the next day to get it fixed. At the end of the weekend, I had already spent double the money and lost more than half the length of my hair in order to fix this disaster. I will never again step foot in this place. read more

I rarely visit a salon since I cut my own hair. I broke my wrist, and it's in a cast over the elbow, so I decided I needed a good cut that I can style with one hand while I heal. I had a great time with Stephanie! I called earlier in the day and scheduled an appointment with Michelle for 5:30. They close at 6 so it was great that they were happy and willing to take me. I went in to donate my hair and had pictures of a long bob that I wanted to get. Stephanie and I discussed it and I told her what I liked and didn't like and what I hoped for. Everything went great! Stephanie was fun and personable. I cut off 15inches of hair and now have a great short style for summer. it was $45 for a wash, cut, and blow dry. My appointment went to 6:10pm so I'm really grateful it worked out. Most of the hairstylists here speak Spanish. Stephanie and maybe Olga speak English so you'd be safe requesting them if you're a non-Spanish speaker who might have anxiety over communication. This salon is in my neighborhood and always seems very clean. I was long overdue for a trim. I went in with no appointment and was serviced within 5 min. I was given Valeria, who was someone quiet but nice. We shampooed my hair and we went to sit for a mini consultation. I explained exactly what I wanted and she repeated it to verify. She even re-verified my bang length before cutting. She cut my hair and showed me what it looked like wet and asked if I wanted it dried and how I wanted it dried. She made sure I approved and if the length and bangs were what I wanted. There was no small talk, it was clean, quiet and affordable. $45 for shampoo, cut and style- due to my long hair. While at the checkout I browsed the color book and was given a small explanation on the two brands of colors they used. I would go again and even try color. There isn't anything that I can say bad about this place. Not bad for not planning my visit. read more

Updated! Like another reviewer, I'd give it 0 stars if it were an option. I've tried this salon three times. The first time, the stylist (who barely spoke English) styled my hair without cutting it first. I tried a couple of times to tell her that I needed it cut first. Only after she was done did the message come across. On the second occasion, the woman cut it *very* quickly--she cut the sides and back too short, really, and the front not short enough. For what it's worth, I went in probably half an hour before they closed. I decided hey, three times the charm, right? This is their last chance. So I tried again. I got the same woman as on the first trip (and maybe second?). I asked her to do an angled cut, short at front and then longer as it goes back. She thought the front length was what I wanted ALL OVER. She hacked off large amounts of hair, and I only fully realized it when it was too late for her to stop. It took months to be an OK length again, of course, and was incredibly upsetting. I wouldn't even go into this place for a trim, for FREE, at this point. I can't believe I gave it a third chance. Lesson learned. read more

I made an appointment for 12 noon person that answered phone said Sandra (she is great). That time was open. Actually she first said 11:45 then said better make it 12. I arrived and gave my name when person finally got to desk. After a lot of buzzing around Sandra came to me and said she was doing a color and it would be 35 minutes. Another time my appointment was for 9 am and desk girl did not arrive till 9:20 to let me and my stylist in. There needs to be a more competent person at that desk. Her doesn't care attitude with NEVER even apology shocked me. Owners relative perhaps? I am done. Sorry Sandra as you are great! read more

This salon is in my neighborhood and I have tried it a few times. The first time I got a trim there I was a little nervous because my stylist did not speak much English. However I tried it again and got a stylist named Stephanie. She was extremely professional and personable. I really enjoyed my time with her and would highly recommend her! It is hard to rate salons b/c the factor that matters most, the stylist, varies depending on who you choose. I had Tina. It was hard to communicate with her (my spouse had the same issue with another stylist), but the haircut was quick and barely good enough. I plan on going back, but I think I'll try someone else. This place is horrible. They paired me up with some one who didn't even speak english. I told her just a trip, 3 1/2 inches later, I was pissed. Once she started chopping I couldn't stop her because she did not understand me. I luckily was able to save the mess she was about to do to my bangs.
