So imagine my delight to find BKB Leather, in my hometown of Lawrence, KS, on stitchdown.com's list of the best cobblers in the country for boot repair. When I came home for Thanksgiving I brought them in; received excellent customer service on intake, and four days later got my boots back with gorgeous, new, durable soles on the heels of my boots, which had also been cleaned and polished. The proprietor is friendly and obviously takes pride in his work. I will never use another shoe repair place. 15/10 highly recommend.

There were a small selection to choose from and since I wanted them for the next day for work, I decided and bought something. The staff were friendly and also helpful. The aisles were clean and it was pretty much divided down the middle. The right side of the store were women's shoes and the left were men's shoes. If you're looking for shoes for your kids, then they are all the way in the back. Right in the front were the sports shoes like running, basketball, etc. If I need more shoes, then I'll come back here to buy some.

Sadly, due to a manufacturing defect, one of my boots split. He offered to repair, for free, and make it right. Mind you, totally not his fault. Picked up the repaired boot about a week later and you literally cannot tell it was repaired. They look awesome and they actually fit!! I appreciate the time he took with me to explain the process and time/cost. Considering he was just stretching my boots he went above and beyond. I feel confident that he would handle pretty much anything with the same attention and care. This man is a gem.
