You cannot reach anyone at Arrow by telephone. The customer service is non-existent. in addition, they ship by Federal Express which is a substandard carrier which results in shipment delays when your item is returned. Federal Express put a sticker on the door but did not knock. Why? Because they like failing. read more

I bought a chocolate color Schott leather motorcycle jacket about 30 years ago. This jacket has been my favorite for riding my bike, but after 30 years it was pretty beat up. After contacting Schott, they put me in touch with ArrowCare. After I sent the jacket in a very nice lady called and we went over what I wanted fixed and the costs. Both pockets were ripped to shreds, the sleeve lining were ripped, one of the zipper pulls on the sleeves was broken. I also decided to have it re-dyed rather than look "distressed" even though that's stylish today. It took a little while longer than I'd hoped, but I'd sent it in right over the holidays. When I got the jacket back, there were two minor issues that I wasn't thrilled about. I contacted them through their website and got an immediate response from Bruce, the President of the company. I sent the jacket back at Bruce's behest, they fixed these two small problems, sent it back to me very quickly (they paid shipping both ways). They also gave me a $50 refund for my trouble! The jacket looks and feels brand new now! We all make mistakes (I made one a few years ago and I'm even willing to admit it). For a company to be so willing to make something right, so quickly and at their expense is really refreshing these days. And not as usual as it should be unfortunately. I took my Navy Unit cap to Mayfair cleaners to have it cleaned before I packed it away. In contacting them I understand that Arrow actually does their cleaning for them. To make a long story short my cap was virtually destroyed by Arrow! The wool nap and large parts of the gold embroidery were scrubbed away by what appeared to be a very stiff brush! I am livid beyond belief. So this is the way they treat veterans treasured items? I sure as hell won't be bring them my dress blues before I store them away! read more

Very poor customer service and incompetence: Not only did they allow my area rug to get moldy (by wrapping it up while it was still moist), but they delayed several months in washing it again, at which point they destroyed it (multiple large rips in a new, structural sound rug). More than two months later, they still have not reimbursed the cost of the rug. Besides this event, they are more often than not poor in communication (i.e, one has to constantly call to ask if a product is ready, as they do not notify the customer themselves). read more

I had my pinstripe suit dry cleaned before I went on a cruise. to my surprise on elegant night I was surprised my suit had several spots on the jacket. this is the story on this suit, the first time I put it in Arrows they called me and said that they found a problem with the suit and I would have to pay extra to get it cleaned. I payed the extra money to fix the problem and it was spot free. The next few times the spots were few and they managed to get them out. This time the spots reappeared and on the dress up night on the cruise I noticed a lot of spots, so when I returned home I took the suit and the pics to Arrow and they said they would clean over but to my surprise the spots were still there and now the made me sign a waiver that if the suit could be damaged if they tryed to remove the spots and this time again the spots didn't come out. I don't think they even tried to get the spots out this time. I don know if this one guy still works there because the first couple of times I talked to him and he told me the process he would use and it worked everytime. Im frustrated with Arrow because this suit has a history with this company. If they couldn't get out the spots I wouldn't have put it back in Arrow. My trust has been broken. I just bought an aniline lambskin leather jacket from Overland Leather. On the very first day I wore it, I got an olive oil stain that set very quickly. I Googled 6 different leather repair and dry cleaning establishments in Manhattan and texted 3 with a picture of the damage and then walked into 3 others. The answers were variations on the same theme: won't or can't fix this serious problem but if you want to give us $140 - $285, we will try but we can't promise you will like the results. So, out of desperation, I called Overland and they referred me to Arrow Fabricare in Kansas City. I spoke to the president, Bruce Gershon, and emailed him the picture of the damage. He responded very quickly and promised me he could repair the damage to my satisfaction. Happy ending - I received the jacket 11 days after I sent it to them postage paid, and it looks GREAT! No one would ever know it was almost ruined. Bruce and his staff were very friendly and professional and from the begining, I knew my jacket was in good hands. The excellent work was done for the low end of the price range I mentoned and well worth it. They lost a very special blanket. i have continued to call, check on it, ask what's going on. i just get the runaround, they stall, make excuses, say they will check and call me back. they never do. they won't resolve it but won't accept my request to file a claim. they just keep saying "we are looking into it and will call you back". it has been over two months! they never call back so it starts over again when I call them. read more

I brought in a suede jacket. The exterior of it was perfect. I brought it in because I did not like how the interior of it smelled and wanted it professionally cleaned. I thought the price was high at $65+. I went ahead and paid for it because I wanted it to be clean and to smell good. I waited weeks to get it back and it's like they didn't even do anything to it. We took my sister's 10 year old wedding dress in to get cleaned so my daughter could wear it for her upcoming wedding. .We paid for the entire cleaning up front They took about a week to clean it, not an unreasonable amount of time, but when we got it back the beads on entire back of the skirt were discolored, they were dark yellow. I understand that due to different materials, damage might happen, what I don't understand is not doing a spot check first to check and damaging a huge amount of the dress...then to add insult to injury they wanted to charge us ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED dollars to "fix" their mistake! I sent a pair of FRAME lamb skin suede pants (950.00) to Arrow cleaners based on their reviews. They had two drops of salad oil just above the right knee. It was the first time I wore them. I included the description of what had occurred to them, and I also mentioned that if they did not feel they could clean them, then they could call me and we would go to Plan B. I did get a call from them, it was for my credit card number. When the box arrived back at my house was n VA, I was excited, I hadn't received a call from them indicating they couldn't remove the oil. I assumed all would be well. As soon as I saw them through the clear plastic on a bare hanger, I knew something had gone terribly wrong. I took the plastic off. The pants had been shrunk two or three sizes. The soft, supple lambskin was now stiff and flats There were two drops of oil just above the right knee it was now a foot long smear of black shiny stuff. They had attached a standard form that said, "we are sorry but we were unable to process your pants". Then, "Why would we be unable to process your pants?" Then, they had several bullet sentences below. They checked the one that said "they were too soiled for us to clean." Let this sink in. The suggestion here is that they GOT THE PANTS IN THE CONDITION THAT I RECEVIED THEM.. .They are denying that they processed them and shrunk them two sizes then applied a cleaning chemical to two tiny spots of oil above the right knee and it came out a foot-long black shiny smear. I know this sounds too bizarre to be true, but this is what happened. I have a picture of the pants that I took the day I sent them to them. I haven't pursued them but I am going to. it's so fantastic and horrible that I could barely wrap my arms around it when I first realized what they were doing. Go there if you want but I would run from them with my hair on fire. I would give them no star but it looks like I have to give them one star in order to post this account. read more

attempted forced entry into my home with 2 sleeping babies. i never scheduled any pickup and whiteman afb had these guys deliver one item to my home that they were over 2 weeks late on, yet a middle aged man in an unmarked white van shows up to my home with sleeping kids attempting to open both my garage doors and access my home until confronted. this guy shows up to my home without prior notice too? i need answers. this is unacceptable and chargeable for child endangerment and attempted forced entry into a home. managers on the phone hung up on me when confronted. i will keep posting this until i get answers from the owners. read more

I'm submitting this Yelp review as a last resort. Here are the particulars: I use Arrow's pickup and drop off service. Every Wednesday (Tuesday night, actually), I leave a load of items that need to be cleaned in my building's lobby that gets picked up, and likewise every Wednesday the clothes I sent out the previous week get dropped off, cleaned. Every Wednesday. One Wednesday in I believe mid-November, I send a load out, it got taken, but no load was left in return. I called, spoke with someone (can't remember who). The person on the phone indicated it was Carl's route and she'd check with him. I never heard back. I kept using Arrow, just as I always had been. A few more weeks go by and I call again, but it was off hours, and ended up leaving a detailed message with the whole story on a voice mail. Never heard back. A couple more weeks go by, I call again, during business hours. I spoke to someone named Holly. Told her the entire story, she said I needed to speak to Bea, who was on the floor, but I could leave a message for Bea and she'd get back to me. I left a detailed message with the entire saga on Bea's voice mail, but haven't heard back (it's been well over a week). I'm guessing there simply has to be a place somewhere, where clothes that get separated from their identification get placed. I indicated each time I made contact, that I'd be willing to come down and look through items myself. I can't recite the entire load, but I know there's a thin blue sweater in there, as well as at least two if not three men's white dress shirts, and a pair of pants, as well as some other items. Also, my size is not overly common (medium, extra slim, tall). I live in a secure building, and while it's not impossible that they got lifted by someone from outside, it's really unlikely. In addition, over the holidays, only one other person in my building was regularly using Arrow, and I know him fairly well so it's unlikely he lifted the clothes (and likewise, I left a note for a couple of weeks asking all other tenants to check and make sure that they didn't accidentally grab my clothes - it's feasible that that could happen, but again, unlikely). I'm not an unreasonable guy and I've been pretty chill about the whole situation, and as noted above, I've continued to use Arrow (so I'm starting to feel like the joke's on me, as it were). I just want my clothes back. I need them for work, and they were expensive. I really like Arrow's drop-off and pick-up service, and I think they're really competitive overall for what they do, and moreover I have no quibble at all with the quality of their work, but I have to get this resolved or I'm going to have to figure out something else to meet my fabric care needs. Outside of the incident I've detailed above, I'd give Arrow a 4 or a 5 star, easily, but, for what I hope are obvious reasons, right now I'm feelin' a 1. read more

While cleaning out my Grandma's apartment, we found a mysterious fur. After some research, I decided to take it to Arrow due to its outstanding reputation. I went in and asked for a cleaning and appraisal. The price, $90. The woman found 2 holes in the fur and decided to bring in the fur consultant. The consultant politely informed me that the fur was old (50 years or more), not well taken care of, dirty, and not worth paying for the $30 appraisal. She happily told me what kind of fur it was and warned that a cleaning may make the holes bigger. She also offered repairs but warned that it may not be worth the investment if it's not going to be worn. All in all, she gave me some great information that allowed me to make an informed decision on my "investment." They essentially talked me out of a $90+ sale. Although that seems absurd/bad business, I say it's the best kind of business b/c they provided wonderful and honest customer service that will make me go back to Arrow. Another 2 years and I managed to tear my beloved jacket again. Note to self: Lambskin is not as durable as leather. I was flying and I folded up the jacket and put it in my suitcase. One of the interior zippers in the suitcase snagged my jacket, Sent the jacket back to Arrow and a few days later I receive a phone call. Very helpful and friendly, I was told they could patch it for $50, or replace the panel like they did before and it would be just like new. It is way too nice to have a patch done.
