I'm very disappointed bc I felt that they did not take responsibility for their miscommunication. During a consultation, I had initially expressed discomfort doing an x-ray because this was only a consultation (not an exam) and I did not want to do multiple x-rays during the year due to radiation exposure. Understandably small amounts, I still would not want repeated exposures. After expressing this, the intern continued to ask a higher up then came back and expressed the importance for a comprehensive consultation (I just wanted a regular consultation, not an in depth exam). Again I said no, I was walked back to the front office where another lady again asked to do the xray. As I said no again and now am waiting in the front office, the two front staff ladies again asked to do the xray. There seemed to be a lack of patient comprehension. When I finally asked if they were willing to send the xray to me free of cost, they agreed. I explicitly asked this to be sent free of cost. Now calling the office, the lady kept apologizing and said there was no note of this free of cost. They also said they wouldn't have pushed for an xray and it wasn't required for the consultation, which is ironic how understanding they seem now. Despite the apologizing, they still would not take responsibility for their explicit miscommunication and they lost my entire trust. They did not try to listen to their patient's need and brushed our opinions aside to suit their typical protocol. read more

My 10 year old had a free consultation early this week. The office was clean, organized, and extremely well run. Every staff member we worked with were very friendly and engaging. I forget the name of the girl who did all the imaging for my son but she was very thorough in explaining how the machine was going to work which really helped with his anxiety. The imaging was very simple, they took detailed records, gave a tour of the facility, and we got a plan to come back for a recheck in 9 months. My son had an excellent experience so looking forward to continuing to use them going forward for his and my daughters orthodontic needs. read more

I got my braces off 4 years ago, but I still want to write about my experience! I was nervous to get my braces for the first time at 21-years-old, but Dr. MacGinnis and the rest of the staff made the experience incredibly comfortable and easy. Dr. MacGinnis went out of his way for my needs numerous times throughout my experience there. Once was when I was getting some work done that ended up being really painful (not his fault at all). He called me personally the next day to follow up with me and make sure I was doing alright! The second time was when I had a last minute international flight to make and needed something done for my braces. He opened the clinic at like 8am on a Saturday morning, just for me to pop in and out. Most importantly, Dr. MacGinnis did some sort of orthodontic magic and managed to get my braces on and off and my retainer made by the time I moved across the country for graduate school. The staff was always incredibly friendly as well. I felt like I was really taken care of by everybody there. My son and I decided to get Invisalign together. We visited the places that our dentist recommended; each had its own benefits but none was quite right. That is, until we visited MacGinnis Orthodontics. The facility is airy and clean, beautifully designed, with state-of-the-art equipment and a TV at every station. It's obvious they don't skimp but really invest in their practice to serve their patients well. The only downside is parking can be limited on a busy day but it's not a deal breaker. My son appreciated how Dr MacGinnis didn't treat him like a young child, and I appreciated how he made us feel comfortable and didn't rush our consultation. I expected pricing to be a lot higher than the others with all the great amenities, so I was pleasantly surprised that they were quite reasonable. We made the decision to move forward and I'm glad we did. Dr MacGinnis is so nice and accommodating; he genuinely cares about all of his patients. I highly recommend his practice. read more

I've been with MacGinnis Orthodontics for a year now and I can not believe how much my teeth have changed since I started! I still have a year to go, but honestly my smile has improved drastically since day 1 and I'm wondering what another year will bring since it's pretty stellar already. Aside from creating beautiful smiles, it's the customer service experience that sets MacGinnis Orthodontics apart from the rest. The facility looks like it was designed on one of those HGTV shows, the staff are all friendly, beautiful, fun, welcoming and family oriented. I love that they're involved with the community, always posting on their social media page (I follow them on Instagram) as well as encouraging patient participation through their rewards programs. I remember my first visit for my consultation and seeing my name written on the welcome board and thinking how nice it was of them to recognize me even before I committed to anything! I literally spend no more than 20 - 30 minutes each visit, but it's always a pleasant experience and I leave happier than when I came in. I came to MacGinnis looking to just get rid of my overbite and he was recommended by my dentist. When my friend from work told me she was getting braces and went with MacGinnis Ortho, I was pretty much sold and went along with her. I was given the option of wire or invisalign and even though invisalign costs more, I was told if I got wire it would be the same duration more or less. I went with invisalign and it's been great and I've noticed a HUGE difference in my smile after just about a month and a half of wearing the trays. I definitely recommend MacGinnis to anyone looking for an orthodontist. They're also open on some of those holidays that fall on a Monday which is convenient since I don't lose time at work. read more

I needed some major work done to my teeth. It became almost a 4 year process. I had a very unique situation. I would grind my teeth in my sleep and was never taken to the dentist as a child. My front teeth were in perfect edge to edge contact with each other. This cause me to grind them down to half the size of normal teeth. Due to this unique situation of my age and how my mouth needed to be adjusted, my dentist suggested we go to MacGinnis Orthodontics. From the get go, they were amazing!! Dr. MacGinnis was awesome!!! He always answered all my questions and was incredibly flexible. I never had any doubt that he was doing what was needed for me. He would even talk with my dentist on a regular basis and keep him updated so that my adjustments would be exactly what they needed to be. It was a great experience from begging to end. I would like to give this office higher review as the workers are very friendly and professional but just so irritating when you arrive on time for your appt and 'get bumped' by someone late for theirs. This happened more than once arriving for a 30m appt and being there over an hour since it was 'the busy time'. I watched 3-4 patiences come and go while I was there and being the last one 5m after the suposed closeing time finally had to ask how much longer. Irritating because now I am late for a following appt. They are over booking or being too nice to those ariving late. read more

Dr. MacGinnis has been both of our daughters' orthodontist. He and his staff are excellent and provide amazing quality of care. The office is clean, modern, and state of the art.
