I live locally to Mack and have used them several times for repairs on my TV and video camera, passport photos and printing pictures from my digital camera. About 6 years back they replaced a part in my video camera under warranty and I was extremely pleased with the service I received. I was so pleased that I continued to use them for all my other needs. They have always been fair with there prices and I always get fast service. Recently, I had a problem with my 2 year old 65-inch Panasonic TV (line on screen). I did some research online and was sure that I was going to have to buy a new TV since screen replacements are extremely expensive. I called Mack and was transferred to the Manager of the TV repairs (Steve). He had me send a photo of the problem and called me moments later with some positive news. It was very possible that my TV could be fixed without needing a new screen. About 3 days later, a tech came to my house and within 30 minutes, my TV was working like NEW! Mack saved me thousands of dollars!!! They asked if I could leave a review online and I was more then happy to do so. I wish I could do more to show my appreciation. Staff at Mack camera is great. They have people who actually know the equipment (knowledgeable staff and personalized service seems to be increasingly in short supply in this current era of digital automation, outsourcing, and cost cutting. They are a breath of fresh air. Furthermore, their people also offer great video transfer services (Eric transferred a lot of old family video for me into mp4 files and did a great job of it. It was nice being able to deal with a real person and knowing that I was in good hands and my priceless family video tapes would not get lost or damaged.) I strongly recommend them. I've had a Canon digital camera and a Sony LCD TV ,work order #348893 repaired and have been very satisfied. All the TV repair shops I know of on Staten Island are gone and parking in NYC has gotten so bad that I tried N.J. The only other nearby shop I called wanted over $100 for a nonrefundable estimate. Mack had no charge for an estimate and they where able to locate the circuit card required for what was one of the first,but top of the line,flat panels and they even fixed an unrelated problem. Same with the camera that was an old model that many shops would not want to bother with but I liked the ruggedness and grip over the better but more delicate newer versions. Also got a look at their repair facility and was very impressed. Beats me about the negative reviews from 2009 to 2011. The TV repair was in 201i or 2010 and the Camera earlier than 2009. read more

these guys are awesome!!!!! Luis the tech came over to my apartment and found out that my 52 Sony XBR 9 panels were bad and the picture was just going to black forever. He took my TV to their shop. Steve the boss then called me up fairly pretty quick and gave me the option to replace my TV or cut me a check. I wanted a new TV so he replace my old out dated TV with a new 52 Sharp 3-D TV I'm in heaven. I love this TV so much cant stop watching just to watch how great the picture is. I have used Mack Camera for more than 40 years for all of my camera repairs. My father used them before me. They are the best in the business and all the camera stores send their repairs to them. In addition, most camera extended warranty providers also rely on Mack for repairs. Their staff is top notch and very friendly and always willing to help out a novice photographer such as myself. They fixed my film and video cameras in the past and now my digital cameras. I just had them clean my Nikon5200 and as always they were quick, affordable and 100% reliable. We are very happy with Mack retail and video service! We have used Mack for new purchases and repairs for years now and currently have 15 canon c-100 cameras under Mack warranty. Recently we needed audio and lens repairs on several of them at the same time. The repairs were done correctly and quickly! Our Mack representative Theresa was phenomenal in making it happen and keeping us up to date. In my 15 years of managing studios and equipment in NYC I have yet to find a facility this efficient or a representative so well-informed. Mack Camera have experts performing their technical work. I brought in my Samsung Flat Screen as it shorted out and it seems Samsung had issues with that particular model. SAMSUNG recommended Mack Camera(that's how good they are) and my TV was fixed right away with no issues. My TV still works with no issues. I went back to Mack as my son machine washed and machined dryed his iPad Nano, and since it was short circuited, Mack recommended a new one. Mack Camera extended waranty on my Samsung flat screen TV came to my rescue when the screen developed dead pixels. I called Mack Camera and they expedited sending a repair representative to my house. They determined that the set repair cost exceeded a replacement and offered me a cash settlement and I was able to keep the set. I found them to be extremely efficient and helpful. Used the warranty twice for my Canon D60 camera over the last 2.5 years. First repair paid for the warranty (i destroyed the view screen). Turn around time was about two weeks for both repairs. Navigating their site to produce a work ticket took around 30 minutes. Never spoke with a customer service representative. Recommend using their service. read more

I have a service contract for a Canon 5d here. I brought the camera in because I thought that something had broken (turned out I stupidly threw the diopter out of whack).
