Honestly, drove all the way here and you have to call using the phone number posted at the door due to Covid. They didn't give me a heads up on cost. I was coming in for a Macbook Pro Battery Replacement for an early 2015 model. I would recommend going to an actual Apple store for repair. This location charges you for the battery and the labor. $250 for battery and $140 for labor. $390 is ridiculous for an older laptop. read more

I own the Best Western Plus in Morristown and we have had computer network issues over the years that have gone unsolved because we didn't know who to call. I finally sat down and did a Yelp search and after several hits and misses with other companies, found Michael At Ricciardi Business Systems. Michael figured out our issues and made sure they were fixed while doing it efficiently and with concern for the expense. He was responsive, communicative, and got the job done. The Mac tech guy there (sorry I didn't catch his name but presume Fred?) was patient and thoughtful and completely helped resolve my problem (I have 16 USB devices plugged in using various powered adapters, etc. with various devices suddenly not being recognized of late and he explained how to check that everything was working, that the power was being distributed; the difference between Thunderbolt 3 and USB C - despite them having the same port on a Macbook Pro, etc.)...I got home and with an additional powered USB hub and some re-distributing fixed the problem. He could easily have done some unnecessary Applecare Warranty repair but was wise enough to know that this probably wasn't needed. Highly recommended for Mac stuff (and I'd guess PC also). read more

These guys move slower than molasses going uphill in January... Even simple repairs that might take them 15 minutes are put at the back of the queue. They don't do any type of triage (small quick repairs jump ahead of large, long repair projects). So you might have a simple problem, but will need to wait a week for them to even look at it because they are fixing some other guy's Univac computer from 1951. It would be like pulling into a gas station and asking for a battery and being told "we'll get to it in a couple of weeks after we rebuild one guy's engine and do a complete exhaust job for another guy" read more

In as much as I'd like to review their service I never quite got that far. I had an issue with my laptop (a Lenovo laptop - and they are a certified Lenovo dealer). I brought it in and the salesperson said he'd need to keep it for a couple days to see what part was needed. A week went by without any updates (despite calling, emailing and leaving messages). I went back to the shop to find out why nobody got back to me and the excuse was that "Mike" (I believe he is the owner) hadn't yet been able to order the part. I asked for the laptop and the salesperson said they'd call when the part was available. Six weeks later, I'm still waiting. No call back, no email, no update. Nothing. Terrible service. read more

Late posting this - In Fall 2019, Fred (at Ricciardi Business Systems) upgraded my 2013 MacBook Air after an unusual failure of the SSD. Compared with Apple's quote, I got a much bigger drive (1TB), with faster turnaround (2 days!) and at a cheaper price. Still going strong a year later. read more

Unbelievable Excellent Customer Service!!! I have a brand new laptop and for some reason the computer wouldn't power up and I was on a deadline for important school work. I took the computer and like other customers was waiting in line at my car as he was servicing people at their car because of Covid. When it was my turn he took my computer into store and came out 5 minutes later and it powered right up. The pc has to be opened to get at the battery. When he took battery out and put back in, the pc turned right on. I was ready to pay and he said no charge because he didn't do anything or replace parts. How modest is that??!!??!!. I had to insist and gave money which he humbly declined but after insisting he took the money and was very grateful. I know where to go next time I need assistance with PC repair. read more

I brought my computer to retrieve the data on it for my business. After one week I called and they abruptly said they were on a two week schedule to call back. After three weeks I started calling again, leaving messages and getting no answers or call backs. Finally after 3 1/2 weeks I finally got through and said I'm picking up my computer. No apologies, sour attitude from everyone the whole time. When I went to pick up my computer they couldn't find it! They told me to go wait by the door when I tried to help them find it. We finally found it sitting on the floor unlabeled. How would they have called me back? I brought it to a PC repair shop in Madison and got my computer with data back in 24 hours! Great team. very responsive. smashed laptop screen replaced in a couple days. they were very good at communicating the status of the screen delivery and called me when it came. i immediately went there with my laptop and they replaced the screen within minutes and charged me half of what i expected to pay. highly recommend! Based on a recommendation of a friend, I drove about 45 minutes to this place passing several computer repair places including one in my town. And, Im glad I did. They are very competent and very honest in an area where both are rarely found together. I was told that my problem, in an 8 year old IMac, might be hardware but could also be software. I decided to try the software fix and its operating much better. I think I will probably have to deal with the hardware issue soon enough but I appreciated that they didn't try up push anything on me and went for the customer friendly fix first. This place is absolutely great! I was told my hard drive was broken and I might lose everything (and of course I didn't have a back up), but my Mac book pro was fixed! And he set it up for me to complete the back up into an external hard drive! They explain what's going on very well and don't hesitate to answer all questions. This place was amazing. My $2,800 mac desktop was dead and missed Apple's "recall" for a bad video card by only 3 days. Fred's help enabled me to convince Apple to cover the repair and my added requests to upgrade the hard drive and others were quickly fulfilled and the computer is back and running like new again. These guys are fantastic. We have taken a number of Macs to them over the year that Apple had deemed beyond repair. For a small fee Ricciardi have brought them back to life. They have also saved a crashed hard drive, fried circuit board etc. They are very honest and are not always trying to make a buck. Most recently when their estimate of what it would cost to fix a Mac approached the cost to replace they gave an honest assessment that replacing it is probably the better way to go. No revenue for them, just an honest answer. They are courteous, professional, always provide timely updates and do not perform any additional work without approval. If Apple tells you your Mac is toast, check these guys out before laying out serious $ for a new one. read more

Really nice people but I think they're only best for quick help like logins etc. I left two Mac laptops on Monday with expected call by Friday. On Saturday went in and nothing really had been done. Had to take them and go to Apple Store. Problem now is I'm scrambling to get done by my trip on Monday. Go in for quick help but can't recommend leaving anything there. Brought my macbook pro here but the process was very slow and kinda uncommunicative. It took longer than they said, which wasn't too big of a deal for me, but when I went to pick up my laptop there were scratches all over the top of it that I KNEW weren't there before because I always have a case on my laptop (it was as if someone took a key and just keyed the top of my laptop). I brought it to their attention and he didnt say much, just said that he'd check if he can replace it. He said he could, and told me I could go back the next day to pick it up. Next day, it wasn't ready because they go through a whole process where they send the piece to apple and have to get it approved, etc. (so don't know why he said next day to begin with). Anyways, moving forward that was about another 3 days until I got my laptop back. No one really explained much to me when I came to pick it up. He probably said like 3 words to me. The only time he would talk is when I would ask him a question. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE THO- for some reason my repairs were completely free and covered by apple ???? So I was confused but I'm not complaining about that one. Overall they DID get the job done, it just was a slow process and they weren't super communicative during it. They seem to over promise and under deliver when giving you a time frame you can pick it up. That was my experience. It wasn't A+ but it wasn't horrible. read more

Took my MacBook there because it was running very slow. They checked it out while I waited and found nothing wrong with it. They recommended that I add more memory which they could do, or they explained that I could do it myself. Didn't charge me anything. Very very helpful and knowledgeable.
