Red Dot Storage keeps proving it's the storage facility for me…read more I have been a customer since this conveniently located facility (just off highway 1, right by the interstate) was Garage Mahaul, years and years ago. When they transitioned to Red Dot management we hit some road bumps-- but once the transition was sorted out customer service was way better. Fast forward to 2023 and I needed to change my unit to something bigger. I reached out via online chat and while it took some time to get an available agent I was able to: get the unit size I sought, get it when I wanted, get all contracts and payment sorted out no problem! Also, kuddos to them. They even were able to make it as seamless as possible-- keeping my new unit in the same building as my current for an easier move. Pricing is competitive. The facility is very clean. I cleaned my unit out and only found a few dead bugs-- mind you that took years to acquire! Very impressed. Red Dot Storage is a solid storage option in IC!

Ever. Not even a little one. But, they recently got bought out by Red Dot Storage, which is a chain based in Colorado, and now they are HORRIBLE. What makes them horrible? Their IT is pathetic. I created an account and paid my fees for a month. But, they still sent me dunning texts and dunning emails telling me that they had locked down my unit and that I couldn't access it. And were going to send my stuff to auction. Even though I had paid. Then I tried to log into my account and I'm unable to. Even though I had used my account online before and paid, now it says that I don't have an account. I spoke with customer service, and they tell me alternate stories about software updates etc. But, they don't really know what they're talking about. And you never get the same story twice. They also charge a $5.00 fee if you pay over the phone. Which I'll have to do because they don't recognize that I have an online account. Also, they slap on late fees. $10 for the first one, and $15 for the next. And they don't tell you how late the payment has to be before they slap on the fees. Again, these are late fees for a payment that I had already made. So, if this review doesn't give you a chill down your spine and make you run to an alternate storage facility, I would read it again. And a third time if necessary. Don't store your stuff with them. You'll be sorry. UPDATE: 5/2/19 Service is still horrible!! I am still unable to access my account. I have called Red Dot numerous times, and it takes 8-9 million years to speak with an agent. You're on hold FOREVER. And when you choose the option to have them call you back [all of this is automated of course] they DON'T CALL YOU BACK!!! If you're still thinking of storing w/them, read my review a 4th time and know that I'm trying to help you avoid this nightmare. I am not in IC right now, as soon as I am in IC, I'm moving my stuff out of their facility.

We've had a storage unit here for years. The owner is very responsive - within an hour of paying…read morefor a space online, he personally called to welcome us. If you email, he responds promptly. We haven't seen anyone on site, but there's keypad entry to the premises and cameras. The place is clean, and we have not had issues with water or any other weather-related things. There is no climate control for these units, so keep that in mind. The price is reasonable, with only a slight increase once in the time we've been renting.

I will say a few things I've noticed since Storage Rentals of America took ownership. - They've been making a lot of updates! New garage doors is an obvious one. - Actual staff on site. (Red Dot never had anyone around. While Garage Mahaul was staffed during biz hours M-F.) - HOLY FREEZING. Goodness. I have an indoor storage locker and it is freezing inside, so I am not sure how 'climate controlled' it is? We shall see this summer... Overall, I'm a happy customer. The location is convenient, the facility is clean and the price seems comparable. Additionally, in over five years at this location I have never had an issue getting into my unit. My only qualm is they took ownership and never really let 'tenants' know? The weird transition period between the previous owner and them was rough. (With a dead mouse somewhere in my unit's building that festered for weeks. eek.)

BEWARE!!! DO NOT RENT HERE! We needed a place to store our son's belongings for one month between…read moreleases. We chose the Alyssa Court location because it was close to the U-Haul rental and it was inexpensive compared to other places. Yet it ended up being the most expensive because the place flooded and ruined almost everything he owned, costing us $$$$$ to replace! It was supposed to be climate controlled, but it was so humid in there, mold grew on everything in the few weeks before we could get down there to assess the damage. When we arrived, there was still standing water in our unit and throughout the facility- with no evidence that they were trying to manage the situation. When they called to inform us, the attitude was - "oh well - we're not responsible." So we paid them $154 to ruin his belongings?!? No refund, no apology. On top of that, the gate was wide open, so there was no security, there was broken glass near the door that wasn't cleaned up between the time we moved in and moved out, and the rental office was across town, which was very inconvenient. Literally the WORST experience all around! Avoid at all costs!!!
