In the past, we had taken a lawn mower for a new carborator, only to have them install it upside down. Later, we had them work on a snow blower, We didn't see it for a couple of weeks after it was delivered to the wrong address, although owner was sure he delivered to our house. It was several houses away, and finally the person living in that house called the police to report it, and we finally got it back. It's a small circle drive, shouldn't be that difficult to find our house where they picked it up!! (They delivered it to house #103 instead of "123" We didn't take any business to them for many many years until recently, we purchased a new Troy Bilt mower from a different store. A a couple of months after purchase, the mower threw a belt and we were told that Wade's was the only place that did their warranty work was Wades or a a city aproximately 50 miles away. We decided to give them another try.... Big MISTAKE! They were nasty on the phone and told us they were too busy and "their customers came first"! We called Troy Bilt, after which we received a message from Wade's they would come pick it up. After a week or so, they brought it back and left it in the driveway parked partially in front of our garage door, if it had been 15 minutes earlier, my daughtter would have backed into it when she backed out of the garage!! My husband was told it would be delivered in the evening, and they came around noon, not bothering to ring our doorbell to let us know it was sitting outside for us to run over!! Then they billed us almost $50 to pick up and deliver even though they are only approximately 6 miles away from our house. In short, this business is run by HIGHLY INCOMPETENT AND RUDE OWNERS!!

There is a fee for all garbage and most recycling. They don't take: yard waste, cardboard, electronics, appliances, medical waste, tires, oil and of course, batteries. Also a seasonal reminder: don't throw away holiday lights, recycle them! You can bring them here to be recycled at no cost from now until the New Year.

The night before a trip, I was packing and realized I didn't have some garments I'd dropped off. It was 9:30 at night and I was frustrated, so I texted their number not expecting much. I got a phone call back almost immediately, with an offer to bring the dry cleaning to me. Turned out one of my garments hadn't met their standards, so they'd sent it back for further cleaning -- which I appreciated. When I picked everything up after my trip, there was a $50 gift certificate waiting for me. Was I frustrated in the moment? Sure. But the response was fast, personal, and genuinely above and beyond. Lesson learned, I guess, but I would have never assumed it would cost that much for a simple dress. I have never seen that kind of price at other dry cleaners I have used. Also, when I dropped it off, the sign said "anything dropped off today will be done by Wednesday." Well, Wednesday passed and I heard nothing. Once Friday rolled around and I still had not heard anything from them (besides the $37 charge to my credit card), I had to call to inquire, since I needed the dress for an event the next day. No answer. Someone (no idea who) from the store ends up texting me and tells me it "should be done" by the day that I need it by, and also, there is a stain on the dress that they could not remove. Okay, whatever. I just want the dang dress back. So at this point, I'm out $37 and the dress still has a stain on it (the whole reason I brought it in for dry cleaning). I get that maybe the stain just won't come out and that's fine/understandable, but now I am wondering what I paid $37 for. And to get it 3 days after they said it would done (8 days total). For one singular size extra small item. Learned my lesson and will definitely be using a different dry cleaner next time! Hopefully it actually ends up being done before I need it tomorrow - we'll see. Edit: picked it up this morning, hours before my event. The stains are very prominent on the front of the dress. Had I gotten it back on Wednesday, as I was promised, or even Thursday or Friday, I could have found another option before my event. Now it is the day of that the dress was ready to picked up, and it's too late to do anything about. Also, paid $37 for this, need I remind you. The crew from WDM was fantastic, so I was disappointed when I found out only the crew leader, Nick, would be coming to North Liberty and a different crew would take over unloading and reassembling furniture. As great as the WDM crew was, the North Liberty crew was equally as good. You hear horror stories about movers - especially long-distance moves - but we had none of that. From the quoting process with Lizzy to the very end, I was so impressed and would highly recommend Adamantine. Thanks Lizzy, Nick and both the WDM and IA City teams!
