Have been several times for cosmetic procedures and eczema, have been pleased each time!

I went in Leary after reading bad reviews, however they couldn't be further from the truth. My wait time wasn't any different than seeing my pcp and the whole staff was very helpful & courteous. The Dr spoke in layman's English and answered all my ?'s. In fact the biggest surprise and a first in my life, was nearing the end he handed me a card with his cell and told me to call in a few days and let him know how I was. This was one of the worse experiences i have had with a doctor. He is in and out in seconds. The dr does not take the time to ask questions or listen to you. They do not take vital signs and the staff can be rude. I saw the doctor on a Friday for the first time with very painful leg ulcers. He rapped my leg in several layers of wound dressing. It was extremely uncomfortable but i felt better when the doctor grabbed a card and wrote down, what i thought was a number i could reach him at due to the weekend, and told me if i had any problems to call him. I could barely walk out of the office due to pain but was told that it would go away in a couple of hours when my leg got use to it. So i gave it 24hrs inwhich i couldnt even stand or walk to the restroom before i decided that i couldnt take it anymore and called the number he gave me. The number was an answering machine to leave a message inwhich they would call back on the next BUSINESS day or if it was important i could call the switcboard to have a staff member paged. So i did that and in about an hour the office manager called me, i told her i was in extreme pain and wanted to know if i should remove it or what should i do cause i cant take it anymore? She said she would have to call the doctor and see what i needed to do. I waited for five hours and called back. The lady at the switchboard was rude and said, didnt u just talk with her and these things take time, so i gave 2more hours and nothing. I ended up removing it and on Monday i got a call from the office to address the issue but it was to late. They were upset that i had removed it and said it shouldnt have hurt, but it did. I told the lady that i wanted to canel my appointment because i was scared to go back and she said that i needed to let him see why it hurt, so i went to the appointment. When i got there the doctor didnt know i had removed it and was upset at me. He put some foam dressing and an ace bandage on it and said to be back on Thursday to have it changed. This was Tues and on Wed they called and left a voicemail that the office was closing due to weather and the doctor said to make sure to keep the cream on it and clean it daily and reapply the cream. The thing is I DIDNT HAVE ANY CREAM. I tried to call back to see what was going on and got no one so i called the switchboard again and got no one. They finally called back on Friday and apologized and said that the dressing on my leg needed to be changed in 72hrs so he wanted me to clean it and change it with what the nurse gave me. The nurse didnt give me anything cause i saw the dr on tuesday and was suppose to be back Thursday so i shouldnt have needed it. She had to call the doctor back and then call me. She said that they called a piece of dressing into the pharmacy. When i went to pick the rx up they told me that my medicaid would not pay for it so i called the switchboard AGAIN to let them know that i couldn't afford to pick it up and got no call back. Its know Sunday and no call back, no dressing and im worried that im gonna get an infection thats gonna make everything worse. I can barely deal with the pain as it is and they won't give pain meds these days.Long story short, WORST DOCTOR EVER and im not going back. Im making an appoinment with another doctor on Monday. Someone with a good review and cares about their patients. read more

Horrible experience. In fact, I just got up and left without seeing the doctor after waiting 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment. There were two other patients waiting and both stated this happens every time they visit. I guess the doctor thinks his time is more valuable than his patients. Recommend finding another dermatologist that does not overbook patients and values his/her patients. read more

Dr. Mackey was very attentive to your problems. Nurse was very knowledgable and friendly. Did not have to wait a long time in the examining room. Nurse stayed with me the whole time and discussed the problem and the possible solutions. Dr. Mackey was then brought in to examine the problem and we discussed which of the possible solutions I wanted to take. I was in and out of the examination room in no time.
