It's taken me a while to stir up the courage to write this review but I feel what I experienced at…read morethe clinic needs to be shared, it might save another animals life. I brought my cat here in 2019 when she wasn't feeling well and I needed to get her seen asap. St Michael's had many open appointments and told me to bring her in. I should of seen this as a first red flag, but when they needed to run testing, they absolutely wouldn't allow me to be with my cat to comfort her during testing and instead brought her into some back room where I couldn't see her or anything other going on. They were very rude and adamant about this and I was trying to trust their judgment but I heard my cat screaming back there and I was mortified to hear that. It was absolutely not normal and not necessary because she had always been curious and loving at previous clinics. Never once have I experienced her having a reaction like this at a vet and it still hurts my heart today thinking that they could have hurt her and I didn't have any idea or chance to stop them. Once testing was done, she was diagnosed with kidney disease. I was offered one route of treatment only, even after trying to explain that I needed something doable, being a college student and caregiver for my mother at the time. After this, I was prescribed the most expensive options available. A $45 bag of SubQ fluids, which were so expensive due to added electrolytes, every two weeks, and the most expensive bag of KD cat food that they carried, which ended up starving my cat because she would not eat it. After I told them that the treatment they gave me was not working for her, Whitnee had the audacity to sit in the room and tell me that I needed to euthanize her because I could not afford it. I can't believe that they tried to convince me that killing my cat was better than finding any other route of treatment to help her. I decided to move to a different veterinarian and seek a second opinion, where they prescribed her a $12 simple bag of fluids, worked with me with finding a food that would work for my cat and let me be in the room to hold my cat during our visits. My childhood companion cat is now 21 years old and has surpassed seven more years of life as a very happy girl. I'm so glad I didn't listen to the b of an owner Whitnee Patten at St Michael's, who loves to laugh in your face because shes smarter than you by the way, and sought out another opinion. The visits at this clinic traumatized my cat for a very long time but also traumatized me taking her to any vet after. They might have a couple nice techs but these people are not animal lovers, definitely not cat people, and would rather kill your pet over money then waste time finding a solution you both can maintain. Avoid them at all costs.

Dr Freemyer is a miracle worker! My dog had cancer and he applied the Dermex ointment to the…read moreaffected area. The Dermex ate through every cancer cell until all had been killed off. He 100% cured my dog and she is healthy, happy, and couldn't be better! Our family and friends love Dr Freemyer and would recommend him day or night! He's been caring for all of our pets for sevral years and goes above and beyond, even willing to get up in the middle of the night to help a sick or injured animal. He is by far the best, most caring vet that we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. It's important to remember that the Dermex ointment works by killing off every cancer cell that it comes in contact with until it's gone. That means that if a large area is infected with cancer then once all of the cancer cells have been killed off, only the healthy cells will remain, which may not be a very large amount for some areas of certain patients. He educated us that the most notable studies indicate a doubled risk of hip dysplasia among males neutered before 12 months of age and the increased risk of mast cell tumors and hemangiosarcoma in dogs neutered after 12 months. If you want what's best for your animal pal, and you want to know why, the highly educated approach, and quality of service is worth every penny.

To say the administration of this place is a mess would be the understatement of the century. It's impossible to have one visit where even most things go right, and that assumes that they remember to write down your appointment. They promise credits because "it was our fault" but never apply them until you complain, charge incorrectly, fail to order medication, promise to make it right, and then call back and say, oh no, we decided we won't do that. If all you need is good doctors and have the time and desire to micromanage their admin department, sure, they're a good choice. But if you need the clerical and financial side of a business to match the quality of the doctors (or just think it should) then you should probably look elsewhere. They're also the most expensive vet in the area, requiring 2x yearly exams for all pets instead of just senior pets, so there is an argument to be made that profit is really the priority here. 5 stars for the vets - 20 stars for the admin

Ronin had been attacked and hit by a car( we still don't know what happened). The people at Royal Vista were amazing in caring for this sweet little boy. They were so good at getting Ronin better, his bonded sister Poppy decided she needed to stay with him there also! They were released by the owners and one of the techs actually took them both home with her every evening, giving them love and care for probably the very first time until they could be placed in a home. They not only saved Ronins life, but also taught them to trust. I, of course, failed fostering and had to adopt this seriously bonded pair! Thanks to the Royal Vista, both Ronin and Poppy are two very happy Scotties. I cannot thank them enough.
