When I walked in I appreciated they have a dog entrance and waiting area separate from the cat and small animal entrance and area. The place was spotlessly clean, and the staff friendly. The first visit started out bad. I'd made an appointment as a new customer a few hours earlier and it was not posted in their schedule. So, I sat their for 20 minutes before anyone noticed me and my little dog. The appointment was good, and I've returned since with good results. I know it can be really hard trying to find a good vet, and I truly can simply not recommend them enough! They are always so patient and wonderful with my very anxious (and very loud) dog. We always have a great experience with them-even though our little dog would always rather not be there. I have seen several different doctors now, and they all are really fantastic. Hopefully this can help others get an idea on how simply wonderful they are. My dog just had a dental cleaning with extractions, along with an eye mass removal done. The bill was incredibly reasonable for everything that was done (I see in past reviews people upset that the dental was $1000+, but that is just standard pricing for dental cleanings for dogs and cats because they have to go under full general sedation and have no insurance is covering it unlike people dental visits). Before the procedure, she had some bloodwork done to make sure she was safe for surgery. I figured we would get the results in 2-3+ days like most clinics. Nope, they did the bloodwork there, we waited a short while, then Dr. Dahl brought in a copy of her results and explained them in great depth with us. Despite our noisy dog, Dr. Dahl even picked up on a heart murmur that no one else had heard before. Dr. Dahl caught that our dog was likely showing signs of another problem that we didn't even realize, and sent us home with medication to keep her comfortable (along with a helpful flyer for a cardiologist recommendation). The day of the procedure, after we dropped off our dog, Dr. Dahl called me to clarify called me to clarify some additional services I had requested. I told her she didn't need to worry about anyone calling me until she was ready to go home. I still got a call from Dr. Dahl letting me know once she was out of surgery and how she did. When we picked up our dog, I had expected a technician to give me some written discharge instructions, and then to leave. To my surprise, Dr. Dahl herself went through everything with us. She reviewed what she found during the procedure, and even went over the dental x-rays in great detail with us. She had asked a specialist to take a look at something abnormal in her x-rays, but didn't even charge us a consultation fee for it (which I would have expected). We had a lot of questions, and she was so patient answering them all. A technician even called a day or so after she was home to check in on how she was doing as well! I have absolutely no complaints about this practice! :D read more

Took my golden retriever in for a broken toenail and needed a refill of heartworm medication on November 2, 2022. They required a heartworm test in order for me to get heartworm medication. I was told that day that they would call when it was ready to pick up. I called one week later and was told it was not ready yet but I would be called when it was ready. Before moving on to someone more competent, I left three more messages and have yet to hear a response. It will be six months on May 2, 2023. I was charged $68 for a heartworm test and to this day I have not received any communication regarding heartworm medication. I can understand one message being forgotten or overlooked but three +2 conversations with an actual person? Ridiculous. I recommend Westridge Animal Hospital or ANYONE else. read more

My dog did die because I trusted these people. At least three times I took him to get his colon and rectum checked - I kept asking them if they'd done a physical exam. They kept dismissing my concerns and trying dietary supplements etc. I had come to them from another terrible vet experience so was already having a rough time. Anyway, they never did examine my dog properly and he couldn't poop, basically. They kept saying it was his legs because he couldn't do the movement. His legs were bad, but they were bad because of straining so much. It wasn't until I took him to another vet for his 'legs' that she said 'how long has this mass been here?' It was palpable - i had noticed it and thought maybe it was because he was backed up, but I am not a vet!!! I trusted these people. Took my money, didn't do cursory exam, this thing had been there for a long time. Lost the love of my life. Charlatans, swindlers, scammers, should be held accountable. We can write a review, but who has time to dedicate their lives to fighting for consumer rights? Also their customer service is not great, as with a lot of vets, they don't seem to understand that they are working with PEOPLE not animals....want to be a vet? you'd better love people because that's who you will be working with. geez. read more

I took my dog there paid 65$ just to put a thermometer in my dog butt ,told if I didn't get him in by Friday it was Wednesday when we were there,so they said to think about putting him down so he don't suffer.unless I have 500 for them just to find out what's wrong with he had blood in his stole.i listen to what she said and what meds they would have to give him.WELL,first of all they had no faith that he can pull through it all,he wasnt eating,just drinking water,he couldn't walk he was weak skinny and was looking like he was gonna die.!I told them that me and Benji can beat this you just gotta have faith not even my cousin had faith but I did .My point is vets don't tell you that you can get them better.i took two days off work and with faith I gave him green beans,different veggies,I gave him some Pedialyte,and I I gave him some antibiotic and by Friday Saturday he was back to himself and still he is with me know.vets just want money,I prayed and had faith that God was gonna get him better not to worry and it happened through our God all things are possible with a little faith .just wanted the vet to know she was wrong and we got better. read more

First of all this has been my veterinarian clinic for many years. Today I'm appalled at this place. I went in at 8:00 to make arrangements for my dying dog that I had laid on the floor with all night. He was suffering. Dr early, who had saved this pup when he was just a year old is off on fridays and I was told the other 2 vets were to busy today to humanely euthanized my 14 year olds border collie who was dying. They didn't have time to be compassionate to an animal in their greatest time of need. What kind of people are these??? They profess to care for animals yet were to busy to help an animal who was in pain. I'm heartbroken beyond words that I lost my king pup today and totally appalled at this place. Love this place, they take care of our 2 chihuahua mixes and we have always loved they way they take of them. The staff is great to work with, it is easy to get an appointment usually when needed. They are up front about the charges and answer any questions or concerns that you may have. We trust them and the way they treat our pets. Look at the results instead of me telling you about how kind and attentive these people are and they are. If you are like me you only care about results when itcomit to your life companions. My cat is 10. He acted sore and stiff for a couple of days then disappeared one day. We didn't really notice at first because he hates the first few days of cold weather and usually seeks out the heat of the furnace. The second day we didn't see him we were concerned and by the end of the day without him even showing up for food we kinda freaked out. I finally found him face against the floor and limp behind the sofa. We called the office and were told to be in first thing in the morning. We were. By then his limp hind quarters and complete apathy had me convinced he was dying. They x-rayed and found he had blown a disc in his lower spine. I broke down. At his age would he be able to recover? Will he ever walk again? Was I going to have to watch him die? Treatment was laser therapy and meds. I added CBD oil to his food after checking with the vet to be sure it wouldn't hurt anything. I cried as when we got home he just lay limp and listless where ever we lay him. He eventually moved from the heating pad to the cold floor and lay back down exhausted. This went on a few days. Finally, he got up on wobbly hind legs and walked. A week later he is getting stronger and going places he couldn't last week. The vet has been available and helpful every single time I call. This matters a lot to me. Not once have I felt like they weren't listening or not taking my concerns seriously. This is a great place to trust with Tiberius and I definitely encourage you to make the drive. It will make the difference. read more

What a great experience we had yesterday as a first time patient ! My dog Major and I made a visit to update his shots and treat an allergic reaction. I had made the online appointment request just Saturday evening and they welcomed us in by Monday afternoon! My dog has been attacked in the past so he is still on his journey toward recovering and has nipped people in the past. i am giving them one star because i can't give them zero. the staff are rude & racist, they often ignore my family & our pet's actual stated needs/reason for visit & instead spend the entire visit upcharging for each service, asking rude & judgmental questions & constantly harming both my family & my dog. they constantly talk over us in appointments, ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to honor what my dog needs to feel safe in their care, and then refuse to perform basic care without constantly placing their own biases and stereotypes about pit bulls in the middle. we have been going for a year, hoping that time would improve their relationship with us and our dog, but all that has changed is the severity with which they continue to harm us. if you are not white, you are not welcome here. if you have a pit bull, you are not welcome here. dont waste your money or your time here & don't subject your animals to these rude, racist assholes. read more

I've been taking my 2 dogs here for 2 years. One of them is quite elderly, and the other is sometimes skittish. I've never had even one less-than-positive experience with Sheep Draw. From setting up appointments to exams and procedures, they make getting treatment for your pets easy. I don't feel as though they try to "upsell" me on more expensive treatments or medications. I often purchase the meds one boy takes all the time online because they are cheaper that way, and the staff is always pleasant and understanding when I ask for a prescription rather than getting the meds there. I have had people in OTHER offices get snippy about doing that. Dr Klingenberg is our favorite and he seems to really like the dogs. I had gone to another vet who couldn't seem to resolve an ongoing problem but had no problem charging me over $300 every 3-4 months when the problem returned. I saw, what seemed to be a newer vet at Sheep Draw. She seemed interested to find out the problem with my dog. HOWEVER, it is terribly sad to find out that they charge 800.00-1000.00 to clean a dog's teeth. That is a huge joke and I can not figure out why other people do not discuss this price in disgust. I understand that other vets charge the same and some maybe less. But these prices are always shocking and beyond unreasonable. Who makes that kind of money to give to a vet to keep their pet's teeth and their pet healthy? Or are we just expected to assume a fair amount of debt because we dooo love our pets, right? Also, not sure why it is a secret but they would not provide a price range over the phone, which by the way is 800.00-1000.00 in case your dog friend needs their teeth cleaned. Pretty sure it is the flat fee for every dog. I believe that the snuggly, furry, part of the family, friend, companion and feeling of guilt for not providing the best care might have something to do with the vet not feeling much, if any, guilt for extracting so much money from us loving pet parents. I understand the vet has bills to pay, like everyone. However, this seems like a news story similar to when people get ripped off at a medical office. Mmmm... I love my dog but he suffers because of exorbitant pricing. Shame on pet care providers. My fur-babies have been patients here for more than 10 years. Dr Buchholtz and the other vets have always been wonderful. However, we had a new vet this last time. I didn't catch her name. She acted disgusted with the new stray we brought in to be checked. He was scared, and attempted to nip her. She grabbed a muzzle (understandably) but the forced it onto him, making him more afraid. I'm pretty sure she is a cat person... I even spent almost $800 boarding my dogs and getting the stray neutered. This last time, I called because my other dog was having an emergency. She was guarding her stomach and not acting right. I called and was told they had NOTHING available. Seriously? A long time patient and you can't work her in? They suggested I call Westridge. I did, they worked her in and were more than accommodating. I guess this is a wake up call... read more

I write this review because of the treatment I received from Sheep Draw staff and because the medical needs of my 18 year old chihuahua were ignored. I called to verify an appointment and kenneling and instead found that a staff member had given me misinformation. When I questioned this, I was accused of lying, repeatedly talked over, and threatened with the denial of services and medication for my 18 year old pup. The staff person was rude, accusatory and patronizing. But, somehow I was the problem. Due to her treatment of me, I did lose my temper in the end. Sadly, when I asked for a call back for my pup's sake, the veterinarian did not feel the need to call me back about my pup's needs (renewal of a script among other issues). How can you trust your much loved companion to people who do not care about your pup, your concerns, and use your companion's condition to threaten retaliation against you? My only resolve is to find another veterinary hospital and to share this terrible experience so that others are informed. Although I do not believe the veterinarians and staff care about losing a longtime customer (15 years), I hope that they treat our companions with greater respect and kindness. read more

By trusting in sheep draw, my pet has been suffering for a month and I could have lost her. My cat could have died by trusting this establishment. I took my cat in knowing she was having UTI issues. I was charged a great deal for the testing because it was "necessary to sedate" her. I was then told nothing was wrong with her. A month later she's been continuing to urinate outside of litter box.... This Sunday she showed us she is urinating blood and howling. She was taken to an URGENT CARE VISIT that cost HALF THE PRICE of what I paid for no results at sheep draw. She wasn't put through the pains of sedation, then forced awake, and actually has medication to START helping the infection and pain relief. The UTI Progressed into a kidney infection. My cat has been in pain and they told us it was a behavioral issue. Discipline the cat instead of healing her..... in retrospect, wow, how messed up....just wow. If you love your pet like family, I don't suggest bringing them here. Not even for a bath as the technicians don't fully rinse the pets and soap is left to cause break outs. The front desk staff is nice.... however, the service almost cost me my companion animal's life and caused us all great distress. read more

We love Sheep Draw! Front desk staff is friendly, techs are wonderful, and we haven't met a doctor here that we don't like. Always get my questions answered, and they lay things out very plain and clearly. If you can't afford something, they don't make you feel horrible like some vets do. Most of all, they all genuinely care about what they do and their clients. I took my sweet Frankie there when he broke his leg, and they got me in right away, were very accommodating when he would slip out of his bandage or if his toes started to swell. When he sadly unexpectedly passed, they were nothing but kind and even sent a card signed by the staff. HIGHLY recommend Sheep Draw to anyone and everyone in the area! read more

I love the doctors and there are always so many people at the desk to help you it's great! Also if you have Trupanion Health Insurance the payment processing is PHENOMENAL and gives you the option to pay a much smaller price & they are the only clinic who had that billing process available! Dr Early works with us to get tests our dogs need and discusses treatment with us that works within our budget. I recently moved to Greeley and didn't have any idea where to go with my animals (3 dogs and 2 cats). Dr. Bucholz is wonderful. I took my senior dog in to check on an ear infection. This dog was rescued from an abusive environment and we have issues with aggression. She is Houdini reincarnated; she can slip any muzzle placed on her and tends to nip. Dr. Bucholz took the time to calm her, telling me every step she was doing before she did it. We got through the exam without blood being spilled! I was worried I would not be able to find a doctor as good as the one we had where we moved from, but I think we have. Will definitely be back with the rest of the herd. read more

Dr. Buchholtz is amazing. She very knowledgeable and empathetic. Great qualities in a doctor. Diagnosed quickly what was wrong with my cat's stomach. Dr. Klingenberg is the same. Can't go wrong with seeing those doctors. Wasn't to pricey. I think general appointments cost $45 now. Couldn't give 5 stars because they can be pushy with test they want to do for pet. I understand though because it is a business and the well being of the pet is their first priority, but I don't have a lot of money for medical bills and thought the general care was excellent enough.
