What's great about Macks? This place knows cannabis. I did my first serious grow last year. I couldn't have done it without them, and what was really amazing is 100% of their stuff will improve the other parts of your garden as well. Some of their products like M.O.A.B (Mother Of All Blooms), "I asked can I use this on other plants?" Sure Absolutely go for it, just follow the instructions on the product label. Oh My Gentle Jesus I did, and what a difference. All of my flowers went from blooming beautifully, to you could hear the plants acting like 5 yr olds jumping up and down yelling LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME!! Il had an an azalea that hadn't flowered in 5 years, well she's blooming now. I also got a real education on pH-ing the water for cannabis, and I transferred that knowledge to my other plants. I'm so into pH-ing that I pH my chicken and ducks water. These guys deal with serious growers, but they also deal with wannabe serious growers like myself. The other thing I like about the place is it's not like going to an understaffed nursery where you have to track someone down to get information. They are right there and will give you the time necessary to get your job done right. And lastly this is icing on the cake, some of the best prices on soil. And good soil, not Miracle let's throw some glyphosate into the mix while nobody's looking Grow stuff. We're talking Fox Farm, Organic Roots to name a few. I would avoid coming here unless you are buying $10,000 worth of wholesale items. They finally got my product in ( been getting the same item for 4 years here with old manager ) now that they have these 2 guys outside the door unwelcoming Af they will not sell us items unless it's the entire shipment take it or leave kind. How could you walk away customers ? Are you that flush with money ? Is the markup on the items that high that you walk away smaller -ish customers ? Hopefully the owner sees this and makes it a little better like the old days. If not sell the shop like you were planning and let a new owner treat customers right. I happened to be in San Leandro and was looking for potting soil (as one does when they happen to be in San Leandro). I looked on Yelp, and Mack's was within walking distance. When I first walked in, I was taken aback-this place seemed quite cluttered and was somewhat dark inside. However, the employee working there was friendly and helped me get the supplies that I needed. I also appreciated that the soil was priced competitively, and if I was in the area again, I would definitely go here for gardening supplies. This is not your Home Depot, so they don't carry everything that you might need for gardening; for example, I was looking for small garden spades, and they didn't carry them. I really, really love this place!!! They were so sweet and were trying hard to give me advice and figure out what was wrong with our tomato plants on the phone so we decided to come in because I know it would've been easier if the person helping me would see them. They broke down and explained to me in a way that I would grasp what was wrong with our plants. I never had a green thumb but after leaving here they really helped us tremendously!!! They are extremely patient, knowledgeable and such kind people! We will come here next year for our garden needs and highly recommend them! Btw... If you don't have a green thumb like me please don't bother with Home Depot omg they didn't even know which plants were which because they weren't labeled and they just replaced the plants when they were sick or dying rather than explain. At least here they teach you and guide you to the right products not someone guessing and you already have spent an arm and leg on products burning and killing your plants read more

I've been multiple times but after my last experience I won't be coming back. I asked for a product and that they ran out of they said to come back and will ordeer more and set one aside. I came back when I said I would and the employee couldn't find the item and started to yell once he felt I had an "attitude". I am new to all this hydro stuff, and not a weed grower. This is the first of the 4 places I went to that felt like a real store, not a backroom secret handshake deal. I understand that 99.99% of all hydroponics business is MM focused, but at Mack's I wasnt blown off because I am not in that crowd. This is a great place with great customer service. The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices are some of the best I've found. I would recommend anyone to come here for their gardening needs. He sells great organic soils that are much harder to find, for sure you won't find them at the big chains - like fox farm ocean forest. Top notch all the way.
