And that's exactly what you find at Four Seasons Succulents. The owner is effusively friendly and eager to share her passion. This woman LOVES succulents... all conceivable varieties, morphs, colors, geographic regions. You'll find it all here. And she's ready to help you understand why you will also soon be a collector of succulents. Four Seasons occupies the end space of a small strip mall just off 880 in San Leandro. Their indoor shop is filled with pots she's sourced mostly from China. But outside, in the sun, are all the assorted succulents she has curated from all over the world. There are Mediterranean succulents, South American, African, Australian, Asian... it all gets overwhelming at some point. But the owner is always roaming and ready to fit your home space reality and sun exposure to just the right variety of succulent that catches your eye. She has specimens that will thrive outdoors in our Mediterranean climate or indoors in everything from direct to indirect lighting. Expect to get succulent overload here. A heads-up: Nothing has a price tag here, so you will need to find the owner to work out the cost of specimens. Many of the plants are already potted so the price works out to the combined cost of both plant and pottery. But the deals we got were reasonable and fair for two succulents plus their unique pots. Matthew, the owner was great at giving me directions: "by the Welcome San Leandro sign (going Northbound) and drive down the driveway". Found D & S Garden Supplies in an industrial building with no issue! Gardening supplies like fertilizer, hydroponic nutrients, various soil brands, plant cages (including dragonfruit) and many other items...just ask. Place has been around for 30 years, open to the public with reasonable pricing. Located in a very non-descript building in the industrial area and probably why I never knew this wonderful spot existed! I loved seeing all their seasonal Halloween theme planters and little decorations that you can put throughout your garden to make your garden festive for Halloween. They even had small Christmas trees in stock. This is a lovely nursery with lots of beautiful plants and accessories and great employees that are roaming around ready to help you at any time.
