Sometimes the med students can be a little much, but you ALWAYS have the option to refuse to see them. Most people are not aware of that. Dr. Ahmed is great but I have had issues in the past with prescriptions. Being back in this smaller suite causes crowding.

His staff billed my insurance incorrectly and it was rejected. They then tried to bill me the full amount. My work provides a liason for medical difficulties who then got involved and was able to prove they billed my insurance incorrectly and that they would need to re-send the bill. They claim to have done that. 1 year later I get a bill from them for the entire amount again. I get my company liason involved, who is able to see that they never re-billed my insurance with the correct information (they were entering my name in backwards: last name, first, or vice versa, and the insurance system required the opposite). The head of their billing staff fought with me and with my medical liason until she (the liason) managed to get a copy of both rejected claims from the insurance company and see clear evidence that they were still doing it wrong. At that point, the Phoenix biller finally agreed to re-send. 6 months after that, the same thing happened again. It has now been over 2 years since I had my doctor visit, and I just got another bill in the mail today, still never having gone through my insurance...claiming I owe $750 to get a basic health assessment. I don't trust this office; I'm convinced at this point that their billing people are trying to perpetuate some kind of fraud, and I'm sick of being told every 6 months that my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance somehow won't pay and that I should be responsible for a basic checkup. It's unfortuante because Dr Florian seems like a really upstanding guy.

Everyone was perfectly courteous and I appreciated the ultrasound technician being careful to tell me to look away at certain points of the exam because she knew I didn't want to know the baby's sex and wanted me to avert my eyes. The baby wasn't feeling totally cooperative so I need to visit again for some more views. But the care I received here is what I have come to expect from Northwestern physicians.

She also has hours at another location in Oak Lawn. The building is pretty new. I got to my appt 15 minutes early, filled out my paperwork and was prepared to wait and wait and wait. Well, I was called within 5 minutes and met with 3 people. The lady that took my medical history, the nurse practicioner and then Dr. Chen. All 3 were really great and had good bedside manner. Dr. Chen was patient, listened, didn't rush me, asked lots of questions and was just really cool. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a new doctor. Very happy!!!

I fell while rollerblading late March on a Monday afternoon and broke my dominant wrist. While that…read morewas unlucky, I was incredibly lucky with my treatment. I fell a couple of blocks from home, had to skate home, then my husband drove us here. Luckily we already knew about this place. I got in to Premier Urgent care right away, got an X-Ray right away, was taken over to the other side of the building to CCSMO right away, saw Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Robert Coats right away, he did more X-Rays right away, reset my wrist, scanned the wrist again, determined it did not need surgery, and put the cast on, did more scans to make sure the cast was perfect. I fell just before 2pm on Monday and was treated and home with my cast just before 4pm. Less than 2 hours for repairing a broken bone! I was incredibly impressed. As if that wasn't enough, everyone was so kind and helpful. All of the doctors, nurses, X-Ray technician, the other staff, really everyone is wonderful. I have had multiple checkups with Dr.Coats, all have gone well. I am in Occupational Therapy with Brian 2-3 a week. Everyone in the Physical Therapy part is so friendly and helpful. You can tell they all care about helping their patients. I am blown away by how much Brian knows! He's been doing this for ~20 years!

Got to the office and was told that the doctor was running an hour behind.  I didn't actual see the doctor for 4 1/2 hours later. Multiple people in the office had been waiting a similar length.  I know because people were complaining about the wait.  The doctor himself was not the issue just the rest of the office. I was told the reason for the time delay was that multiple doctors were sharing two room. I don't know how that was an acceptable excuse given that there was not a surprise number of doctors and rooms at the location. The location is also a bit run down as well. I'm posting this so people know before committing to the office.  Its easier to never go to the office versus switching.  I ended up accepting the lost and just spent more money switching doctors. I know everyone can't afford to do that.

They also have another building, located right across the street. I absolutely adore the doctors here. Been coming here for 5+ years, and each time I am treated with nothing but respect. I always get a call the day before ,confirming my appointment. I never have to wait, sometimes I would come way to early, and if they were not busy I would get seen right away. And i have been seen by more than one doctor here in both buildings. They have valet parking available. Not sure how much it costs since i park on the street being a cheapass. It is a huge building with many doctors, so of course people will have different experiences, depending on which doctor you see.

Even though we live way across town now, we didn't change providers because "if it ain't broke don't fix it", plus our kid is pretty physically healthy so we don't travel to his office much anyway . Now, here's potential deal breakers and/or makers about Dr. Sandesara so you can do the pros and cons for yourself: If you want a crunchy-style pediatrician with iPads in the waiting area to help you loophole out of the public schools' immunization requirements, keep looking. This is a pretty meat and potatoes operation. For all intents and purposes the office runs out of a storefront. Parking is on-street, exam room decor is strictly 1990s Disney, and the waiting room is run down and frequently crowded. On the upside, Dr. Sandesara is one of the most accessible doctors on our family's health plan. We have never dealt with navigating some ridiculous voice mail maze or a messaging service while simultaneously caring for a sick child. We actually have his direct cell phone number, which like never happens in this day and age unless the practitioner is a friend of the family or something. Example: my kid got sick one time while we were out of town on Christmas Eve, and we were able to reach Dr. Sandesara pronto. His staff is also super friendly. In brief: it's not perfect, but it hits the high notes in all the right places so it totally works for our family.

Tiny waiting area, place is run down (carpet was disgusting), not kids' friendly (this is a pediatrician) and they don't even have parking space. Also, we had an emergency situation with a new baby born and they would not accommodate our request for an appointment as prescribed by hospital because, as we were told, it's back to school time and they're too busy (!?! sounds more like a money maker than a doctor's office concerned about patients' health and well being). We were given an appointment convenient to them, not us. This is not the pediatrician I want for my child!!!

Upon arrival to the office I was instructed to fill out minimal paperwork and was promptly brought back to an exam room by the Doctor Lindsey herself and examined. From the moment I walked in the door I was met with kindness, caring, and compassion. These are qualities rarely found in the big business arena that professional medicine has become and was a wonderful experience for an ailing patient. It has been said that mind over matter is the key to healing and everyone involved in my care that day brought a smile to my face and a warmth to my heart.
