Thanks to all the construction on I-5, a rock chipped my windshield. Womp womp womppppp. I sent out quote requests to four companies through Yelp (what a cool feature!) and Mac's was the first to respond and had the lowest price. They provide mobile services so you don't have to go to them or pay more for them to come to you. Awesome! I called to make an appointment and they were able to send someone out 3.5 hours later. Ben called when he was on his way. He completed the service in under an hour and explained clearly what he was doing. He said he's been doing this for years and has done thousands of repairs. If the repair doesn't hold and the crack spreads, they will use the cost of the repair toward a replacement! They accept check, cash, or card. For some reason my Amex card didn't work, but Visa went through fine. I greatly appreciate the fast responses and friendly service. I would recommend and reuse them for any glass needs. While trying to beat the most recent rainstorm, I shattered my patio door with a flying rock while mowing the lawn. I put in a project request on Yelp and Mac's responded within the hour with a reasonable quote and was available to come out the next day (which happened to be my only day off work) to take measurements at 4pm. Other companies' bids were significantly higher at $750 to $900+. Gloria, in the office, was excellent with communicating that they had some cancellations and reached out to arrange a new time, in between my many appointments! She called again when the glass arrived and it was installed within a week of the accident! Erick came to oversee and was diligently teaching his son how to install the glass. They did a great job with my kids watching and playing in the backyard. The guys vacuumed up all the broken glass and polished the new one before leaving.
