First of all, 1996 F250's only have a cutout in the bumper for one lamp so weren't even built to support two. Secondly, Texas Department of Public Safety Section 20.18 SubSec. 2c specifically states "Only one lamp is required" to pass inspection. This was verified on the "What's Inspected" list for trucks from DPS as well. Though this shop gets high rating my first visit was not positive and probably won't go back. That's unfortunate because I had a few small items that needed fixed and thought I'd have them done here to support a local business.

The alternator was just replaced by another shop last year, so I'm thinking voltage regulator? Rodrigo calls me late Friday to tell me he thinks it's the alternator shorting but wants to a full charge on the battery over night to make sure. Saturday he calls me to say it is the alternator but the root cause is the water pump, which is leaking and spraying the alternator. Monday night we picked it up - perfect, full explanation/demonstration of what he found, and reasonably priced work. We're not going anywhere else from here on out.

He chuckled patronizingly and said "yeah well we close in an hour so you'll have to bring it back tomorrow." Even after letting him know that I had limped the vehicle to his shop, and that it had died multiple times along the way - he turned to me, said "don't forget to close that hood" and then walked away. When a business owner exercises a lack of prudence in keeping their business hours adequately updated, the community which they serve suffers the most. Despite Nesloney coming well recommended from a neighbor, they have since agreed that they will not be coming back here. I'd admonish every person reading this review to save yourself time, money, and a headache and just taking your vehicle somewhere that treats you with dignity and appreciates your business, and I can assure you that Nesloney Auto Repair is not it.

($425 for the part and $375 for labor) I was also advised he would have to keep the car and it wouldn't be ready until noon the following day. Having replaced a starter before myself, I left and advised the shop that I was going to get a second opinion. I pulled in to an auto repair shop down West Ave and asked them what they would charge to replace my starter and was quoted $385. ($295 for the part, $95 for labor) I left my car with them at 3pm and it was ready by 4:30pm. We brought our vehicle in with multiple issues affecting multiple systems (A/C and brakes), and both were fully addressed and resolved, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome! Details of timelines, diagnostic findings, recommendations of work to be performed, and cost estimates were communicated clearly and professionally. I have a Mini Cooper and not all shops service my car (you know what they say about everything being bigger in Texas - that also applies to cars), plus the Mini dealership was trying to charge me outrageous fees. Long story short, I ended up entrusting my Mini to Tieken and they did a good job swapping my old brakes for new ones. They did it within a couple of hours and saved me time and money. Employees were friendly and informative. The only hiccup I have to report is that they seemed to struggle trying to reset the brake sensor on my dashboard, but the solution was one YouTube video tutorial away and I was able to do it by myself.
