Poor communication skills all the way and the excuses about multiple people answering the phone didn't make sense since they did have my request in the queue. They cut the lock, and the peninsula is limited, so just be prepared.

They have several very kind and informative employees. It turns out, the key copying is only part of the trick for the key fobs, as (at least my) cars have a radio sensor on the ignition that checks if the fob part is approved (programmed). If the key part matches for my car, it'll turn radio on but won't kick ignition over unless the fob part is programmed. In my car's case this was a set of steps such as insert old key, turn on for some seconds, turn off, insert new key, turn on off several times, then it programs it in the car. The people at Henry's explained all of this to me made it very clear that I am welcome to Google and try and do the fob programming myself to save money, or they can try it, or they can order a fob that's more reliable than the flimsy Amazon fob, and if none of those work it'll take an actual dealership unfortunately to get the thing to program. And, they have TONS of key designs to get inexpensive copies of your house keys!

Coming from working with locksmiths regularly back in Portland, this locksmith took 3 hours to pick a lock my normal guy would have taken 30 minutes to do. Without having an inventory for his van, he re-pins a lock cylinder to a used key he had found at the bottom of a toolbox. It was a wonder that the whole thing worked. But after writing down a key code to duplicate the key, I found the code he had written down was wrong. An attempt to get back the $25 I spent resulted in a exhausting circular conversation, ending in him calling me a dumbass. Don't know about you, but is this how good businesses behave? Oh. He's probably going to respond, changing the entire narrative of the story. Buyer beware.

She panicked and called me in Hawaii. First I called AAA, gave the agent my daughter's information and they gave us an estimated wait time for 2-3 hours however I made an appointment anyway since we pay for their service. I then tried numerous places all giving me the same wait times, finally called Advance Lock and Key and low and behold Matt said he could get there in less than 30 minutes! And he did, on top of it only took him two minutes to get the car opened! My daughter made it to her appointment on time and I called AAA to cancel my appointment and they we showing no appointments for us. I told the against i booked it with an agent named Kari less than an hour ago but whatever. Boo to AAA and Yay to Matt!!
