Every time I have been, it's a nightmare. Most recently went and the waitress forgot about our table and it took an hour to get our food. The wings I ordered were overcooked and hard to eat, couldn't send it back because it was another hour before the waitress came back and I just handed her my card and told her to cash us out then and there. We were on lunch break and already so late because of their incredibly slow and abysmal service. Despite her making us late for work we were very friendly and understanding, however; she treated us like we were inconveniencing her. Restroom floor was also covered with water on the floor and caution tape. The food isn't good, the service is terrible, the layout of the place is a mess, and the staff always has an attitude. If you're near Mainstrasse and want pizza or wings (or both) you have to go to Mac's. They have lots of different wing sauces and the pizza is always a go to. There are 2 doors to this establishment. The address that is online when you look them up, is not the door you go through. It is the door to the left of that address. We thought they were closed but noticed another "Macs" sign. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and got an option of where to sit. They also had games you can play inside as well and music playing. There were four of us in my party. Fried fish platter- it's under the appetizers. Not sure why because it was a full meal. It was cod fish. The fish was overcooked. The outside crust was hard. The crust didnt have a lot of flavor. Came with waffle fries and coleslaw. The waffle fries were the shape of Chick-fil-a but had much more seasoning. They were good. The coleslaw, my niece was good as well and she is not a big coleslaw person. Caesar salad and mozzarella cheese sticks- they said the cheese sticks were the best they ever had. Caesar was Caesar. Nothing spectacular. Just basic. No complaints. Spinach salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Salad was delicious and was just the right amount. We got a 16" pizza and was able to do half and half. One half we got pepperoni and the other half was the mac attack. We felt the pizza was good but didn't have much flavor either. No hint of Parmesan or anything. It was pretty basic. The toppings on Mac attack didn't give a burst of flavor like it seemed it would. This will not be our go to place. Only if we want cheese sticks. read more

Very large establishment. Two sides, two bars plenty of seating. Known for the pizza. We had a large, flying pig pizza. We added banana peppers and mushrooms to it. The pizza was very good. Thin crust. New York style. The toppings were plentiful and the sauce made the pizza. Very good. We were drinking Long Islands and they were made perfectly. Had the right balance and did the job. The only thing that was puzzling about the place is all of the Green Bay Packer's banners hanging up everywhere. We were told that it is indeed a Green Bay Packers bar. So that was a bit of a turn off being that we are basically right across the river from where the Bengals play. Overall though a good experience and would come back for the pizza anytime. read more

We stopped here at the end of our bar hopping in Covington. We were sat on the patio and we had lots of privacy. The staff was very nice and accommodating and the restaurant was set up with social distancing. We ordered the appetizer of tasty tots which we ate immediately and forgot to take a picture. As you can guess we loved it. I then go the wedge salad which was perfect after the tasty tots. Fresh tomatoes crispy iceberg lettuce and bacon. Who doesn't like bacon. Was pleasantly surprised with Macs Covington. As a UC student, we have our own Macs. Most people go to drink, but I never hear anything about the food. A friend recommended Mac's in Covington so I gave it a try. As a packers fan, I LOVED the interior. So fun. The potatoe skins were great. The pizza was super cheesy, and the homemade ranch was amazing. The burger was alright. Nothing special. Will definitely be back on a Monday for pizza night as well as happy hour for BOGO apps. read more

Glad Macs was recommended as a good place to grab quick late lunch/early dinner. I was looking for a BLT and this seems to be one of few places with one the menu (at least in my choices of restaurants). I was not disappointed! The sandwich is actually listed as an egg BLT, which I am sure would have been delicious, too. My husband loved the build your own personal pizza. The cheese sticks appetizers are worth a mention all their own. Delicious! The service was very quick. I was very impressed with how quickly the food was "on the table". Macs Pizza bar is a Green Bay Packers bar in Covington Kentucky. It is a fantastic sports bar with tons of energy. The bar has two floors, lots of TVs, and multiple rooms! We had a speciality breakfast pizza as we were there for the Bengals vs Packers game. This is outside of their normal menu and it was delicious. The pizza had eggs, sausage, and gravy. I rented out "The Attic" for my 21st birthday and it was an amazing night. Donna is who I talked to through the whole experience/helped us book the date and she was so overly helpful we couldn't have done it without her. We ordered pizzas for the group, everybody loooved it, and they allow cake/cookies etc. which is great. You control the music through touch tunes which is a great idea! The upstairs also has their own bathrooms so you don't have to worry about leaving the area. Everybody at the party had sooo much fun, the Covington area is such a fun spot to hang out in before or after your party as well! I would 110% recommend Mac's Mainstrasse if you want a fun environment for a party at an affordable price!!! They also allow all ages so it's perfect for family parties too! As a native Clevelander, I prefer a Sicilian/thick crust pizza, but this place opened my mind when I ordered the 'Flying Pig' pizza. Though the crust isn't thick, as I generally prefer, it's not a thin cracker pizza and it strikes a perfect balance. The pizza was cooked perfectly. The crust had a little bit of crunch, but it wasn't over cooked. The sauce was flavorful, not too sweet, and you can tell they use quality cheese on their pizza. How can you go wrong with bacon, ham and pepperoni on a pizza? My favorite topping was by far the bacon. The bacon was soft, moist, and had just the right balance of salt. This is a really great place, and I can see this being one of our go-tos when we're in the Covington area. read more

Great pizzas. We especially enjoyed the Tree Hugger. Fresh flavors and vegan to boot. The atmosphere is low key and casual however the staff we had to deal with were snobs. Holy Cheese Curds what a place to watch Football. Especially for Green Bay Packers fans!!! For those that do not know this is the Packers fans location in the greater Nati area. First, yes it is a pizza place. But that is only the beginning the appetizers the wings, did I just say wings... WOW. Would of never thought Mac's Pizza had some of the best unknown wings in the Nati. Large I mean HUGE wings with the right amount of crispiness with your choice of sauce. Mine is the original Buffalo which was just the right amount of heat with the traditional hot sauce flavor. The pizza has a great foundation with a crust that is smooth with a great flavor the sauce marries with the crust for the best balance. Wait hold up please allow me to rewind I forgot to mention the appetizers.... Deep fried pickle slices add buffalo dipping sauce of course they are good pickles. But of course being the Packers bar they must have amazing cheese curds.. Mac's do not disappoint with the cheese curds in any way.. head out to the great location the Packers bar located in historic Mainstrassae in Covington, Kentucky. Mac's is your typical mainstreet bar. Large tables, outside seating, pool tables. What makes this place unique is their delicious choices of typlical bar food, complimented by everyone's favorite cheat meal, pizza. Even though I was trying to follow a diet, I couldn't pass up a calzone. I ordered a coke and Calzone (pepperoni, jalapenos, and basil included). Service was swift and friendly, and within ten minutes was presented with my galic butter covered Calzone with a side of marinaria. It was quite a tasty meal. I do really wish it had ricotta cheese (am I the only one that though ricotta was mandatory?). Otherwise I was very satisfied. Eating this meal while sitting outside in the lovely weather made for a perfect night. I look forward to spending more time eating pizza and enjoying time with friends at Mac's. read more

I've frequented their Clifton and Covington locations, and I have to say that Covington is more tolerable without all of the frat stars in Clifton bothering you. I will admit that Mac's is not a first pick for me, but when I do go I throw caution--and my diet--to the wind and chow down on a calzone. Pretty solid, and they do have an option to deep fry it if you're feeling someone is questioning your 'Murcian identity. My other go-to has to be the beer cheese made with Braxton's beer (a personal favorite of mine) and dough pretzels. Skip the fried pickles...which hurts me to say because I love fried pickles. Also, they have a great selection of craft beer, but it doesn't seem to be updated often, so don't get your heart set on one beer, pick a few backups if they don't have it any longer. To be honest, Mac's has some great things, could improve on others, but I'll be back. The carbs always call me back. read more

The atmosphere here was really cool and not very busy (5:30pm Friday). Our service was great but the food was the real highlight. We ordered the wings for an appetizer. I only ate one because they were too soft for my liking, but the flavor was good. We ordered a barbeque chicken pizza. It was good, but had a lot of sauce. The service was good. There wasn't any soap in the women's restroom. I told a server and she didn't offer to replace it or even tell someone. I thought that was kind of odd.
