We were able to be seated right away, 2 people. We sat at a little table, by the window. The server was promotion greeting us and serving up cold beers! It was clearly an establishment frequented by locals. Plenty of to go orders!! The pizza was ok, not great but no awful. It was one of those, I'm starving and this hit the spot! We had takeout from here, so no real opinion on service or ambiance. The price of the amount of food was fair (16" meat lovers for $25) which is why they are getting 3 stars instead of 2. The taste of the food just fell short for me. There was way too much sauce on the pizza and the crust felt under cooked. The meat on top was delicious but it was hard to enjoy it since the crust and sauce kind of ruined it for us. The pizza was also not properly cut which is annoying, so we had to recut the pizza when we got home. I think there are many other great pizza places in the Cincinnati area, so we will not be going back. read more

So this is a 3-4 review. This was our first time ordering from Ft Thomas pizza so we tried salads, pizza and wings. Our order was through door dash. We got the salads with figs and grilled chicken, a Hawaiian pizza and mild buffalo wings. The salads were really good - nice lettuce, tasty chicken and other ingredients. My only wish was a vinaigrette dressing option other than raspberry (sweet) - balsamic maybe?? My hubby liked the wings - he got mild buffalo but they still had a nice kick. I ordered a small Hawaiian pizza and recognize that it's is all a matter of preference. I prefer a more authentic Italian crispy thin base with a nice chewy crust, but I know that others prefer a soft crust with no edge. If the latter is what you enjoy then you'll be happy. I found the crust kind of gummy which wasn't my preference. All in all, we'll definitely stop in or order again. We've moved in just up the street so we'll try them out in person next time. read more

Stopped in to give this a shot for some late night drinks, eats, and playoff football. The service was awesome our bar tender was very personable, fast, and nice. She also makes a very good Bloody Mary. After a few draught beers and a Bloody Mary we ordered some pizza, wings, and fries. The pizza and fries were good but the wings were just alright. I would say it's your average bar food nothing really stood out. The only real down side to the whole place is they still allow smoking so there is a smoking side and non but you can still smell it throughout. I would say a nice calm spot for some bar food and cheap drinks. read more

I'm not the type to leave reviews but I felt they needed this. ordered French fries which were burnt to the point you couldn't eat them, and paid an additional $5.00 for cheese. Had dinner here on a Saturday evening when a festival was going on in Ft. Thomas. There was one waitress handling the entire restaurant but she was going nonstop. I asked her name just so I could share it here. Kudos to Misty who was pleasant to everyone as she did her best to attend to the customers. The owner came out and greeted us warmly. The food was good. We had a pizza with bacon, pepperoni, and green peppers. It was thin crust with plenty of toppings. The mozzarella stuffed pretzel sticks with marina were delicious! We love this place as it's close to home. The pretzel breadsticks with ranch and marinara is one of our faves. Can't go wrong with a house salad and a hoagie. Cold beer and fun to play a couple rounds of Keno while you eat. read more

Where do I start... Ok, it's Kentucky, everyone smokes here, and this place is no exception... they even have one of those old cigarette machines from the 60/70s era... I went right as lunch was starting, and the place was empty except for the lady working the bar (in the smoking section, which actually might be the entire place). So I peeled my way through the left over smoke (clearly from years past) to a semi clean table... it wobbled. The lady came and plopped a menu down and asked me if I knew what I wanted to drink... well this is Kentucky, so why not get an ice T... so I ordered one. Pretty sure they have an ice shortage here in Kentucky because there wasn't but two "thingies" of ice in it, and it was from the soda machine, ugh. I did inquire about local beers... for the record, Coors Light is apparently a local beer (not). I stuck with the tea (no ice at this point). A few minutes later, my nose was already running, and my eyee were burning from the smoke, ugh... and the lady took my order, which was 6 wings and a medium Pepperoni & mushroom pizza. About 15 minutes later (mind you I was the only person here) my pizza and wings arrived. But, at this point, a second person walked in (ignore him, he isn't important). I had to ask for crushed peppers... I tried a wing, it was hot, that's good. I took a piece of the pizza, it was hot too. That's also good. The Pizza and wings were ok, my Tea still sucked, and by now a third person, a lady came in, she had called in a pizza, and lit up a cancer stick while waiting... so now my pizza started to have a hint of nicotine to it. Thr server came back and asked if I was good... I asked her for ice to add to my Tea... this time around she brought back Ice T (from the sofa machine). I finished my pizza & wings while watching the lady smoke... kindly took a final swig of Ice T, and went to the bar and paid for my meal. Look... seriously, I won't return, ever, even if there's a fire and people are burning up inside. It's pretty bad, and there was nothing special to write home to mom about regarding the pizza, wings, Ice T, service, atmosphere, etc... frankly... it sucked! And shame on me for going there! I love going to this place. I remembered it when I was younger my mom would pick up hoagies from there on her way home from working at the VA. Now it's probably 30 years later and I live right by this place. Great food, good drinks, and friendly crowd. I try to go to Karaoke night on Friday. Ed, the DJ, is awesome. He intermittently plays songs that allow for everyone to sing. Recently the Tavern has been supportive of my cousin's son as he prepares for brain tumor removal. They put together a really cool night for him and it was a great experience for everyone there. I only go up about once a month, but I love the atmosphere. And the food is great. My husband and I stopped at this restaurant for some food and drink before heading over to the park for music and fireworks. They do have tables with umbrellas set up outside which was perfect for us. I walked inside the bar to see if we were able to have table service outside and was immediately struck by an extremely strong smell of cigarettes. There was a young woman, Brianna, working who said that we could receive table service and asked how many. She greeted us outside within a few minutes with menus and asked for drink orders. She appeared to be the only one working at 5:00 on a Saturday afternoon and she was very quick and efficient! She a brought our drinks quickly and we ordered a supreme 12-in size pizza. The pizza came out quickly, sizzling hot with lots of delicious toppings. Brianna buzzed around all of the other tables outside taking orders but still always managed to come back and check on us and make sure that we were doing fine. I definitely could not eat inside this restaurant, I could even smell the cigarette smoke every time the door opened and closed ,( the reason for the 4star rating) but our patio service was perfect. It was also a great spot for people watching. I would definitely recommend going back another time and enjoying their outdoor seating area. read more

This is probably my favorite pizza place in Northern Kentucky. Breakfast is so good. I recommend the meat lovers omelet and the big breakfast with goetta and hash browns. Their juicy burgers are the best. Great deal on Thursday night for trivia. You should also try their steak hoagies and different selection of salads. The brunette salad with raspberry vinaigrette is my favorite. Tacos are still for a $1 on Tuesday nights. Their wings are great during any sports game. They have karaoke every Friday night and live performances by local musicians on Sat nights. Great food and great entertainment for everyone. read more

So disappointed. Haven't eaten here in years but was always happy with the food. Ordered through door dash. Prices are jacked up hoagie $10 regular menu $7.50. what a joke. The hoagie I received was over cooked but the bun was soggy and the cheese wasn't melted. Quality cheap/generic. Jtm frozen kits are better. Pizza was under cooked and over sauced. The crust was completely white. Needless to say will not waste money here again. I couldn't even eat half of my hoagie. So now I'm still hungry and pissed that I wasted the extra money ordering through door dash. read more

This is a fun place. You feel right at home here, and the staff knows all the regulars by name. Don't let the name fool you, this is more of a bar than a pizza place, but the food is fantastic!! Make sure you get the cheesy pretzel breadsticks. I have to say though, the highlight is the breakfast. Their omelettes run through the pizza oven and because of that, they're extremely fluffy with a unique texture, I highly recommend an omelette with goetta and cheese!! In the area for a baseball game so we stopped in after the game for dinner. Definitely a hole in the wall type place. It was dark, dirty and very hot inside. Food ended up being decent but unfortunately our dining experience was ruined by all the cigarette smoke. If the circulation was better it probably wouldn't have bothered me but it felt like the smoke was all around us the entire time. As a pizza lover I have to say that I really like their selection of 'less than ordinary' pizzas. I'm a fan of their Pizza Bombay, the curry could have been a little more bold in the sauce for me, but it was yummy nonetheless. Great little "hole-in-the-wall" pizza place (the best kind). My wife and I (along with our friends) are regulars here. Great pizza and good bottled beer selection (nothing special on tap). The place is a bit small, but we never have had a problem finding a spot in the back - which is away from the bar and generally less smoky (the main downside to this place is the smoke, but it is a bar in NKY, so we have to put up with it at least for a little while longer). Street parking is usually available, but they also have a big lot behind the building that can be found if you drive slowly and pay attention to the signs. Great place, highly recommended. read more

Best Feature: Great selection of different pizzas! Worst Feature: Smoking is permitted, so if you're a non-smoker, beware. Recently my boyfriend and I took a late night trip to Ft. Thomas Pizza. We'd never been there before and were interested to see what the local restaurants offered. They have fairly late hours, so we were thrilled to be able to still order dinner despite it being late in the evening. From the outside, you can see a bar. Beyond the bar, in an adjoining room, is a dine in area. We decided on carry out, and took a gander at their menu selection. They have several pizzas in usual array of sizes. We decided on a more interested choice, the Bombay Pizza, which apparently included "mango curry". We were curious to see how it'd turn out, which is a heck of a gamble on a large pizza. I am thrilled to say that the pizza was DELICIOUS! It actually smelled a lot spicier than it was, which is good for those not looking for a spicy meal. They also apparently have fantastic hoagies, but I have yet to try one. I'll update my review when I'm able to. The service was great! The bartender took our order and chatted with us while serving a packed bar. I was really pleased. The prices are also not bad - nothing unusual for pizza, anyways. I will be sure to return and try out their other dishes as well! read more

They still allow you to smoke inside. The calzones were good - the crust is nice and flaky. The waitress was nice. The beer selection is very limited. I just can't overcome eating somewhere filled with cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, the indoor smoking will prevent us from returning. read more

Damn fine pie. Just off of south 275. Yum. The service is fast and friendly and the pizza is yummy. I suggest the Pizza Bombay or the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza (I would tell them to go lite on the BBQ sauce though). I travel to many different cities as a art fair artist and am always looking out for great pizza. A friend and I Yelped this place last year and gave it a try. I have been looking forward to going back ever since. The crust is excellent and they have some very unique takes on pizza. Different pies like the Pizza Bombay or just unusual variations on classic themes (the Mediterranean with orange slices). The only things keeping it from a 5 star are the smoking (definitely sit outside if it bothers you) and the place is a bit divey. Which I am generally fine with, but the smoking kills the magic. I cannot believe that I am writing the first review of Ft. Thomas Pizza. I think that it is more proof the the people of Ft. Thomas are keeping their pizza place a secret. I wasn't sworn to secrecy so I will tell you all about it! Ft Thomas Pizza is located on the main drag and is easy to miss so watch the buildings as you drive past it. The folks here have a pretty laid back attitude so sit where you want or order to go. The menu says they deliver but I have never used the service, so can't say one way or another. Every time i have eaten in the service has been fast and very friendly the employees are usually teens yet they are really friendly and the service is fast (very uncharacteristic of young people) The best item on there menu is the Broagie Hoagie. If you aren't from around here you might not know that one of the lesser talked about food obsessions in the area is hoagies. You might know it by another name. It is a it is an oval shaped burger smothered in sauce (mushroom or pizza), onion and pickle sandwiched in a buttered and toasted bun. Man, it's sinful. You should also try the fries with cheese and bacon. I suggest you bring a friend to share a hoagie and fries then walk home because who ever this Broagie fellow is he's got good taste and probably has high cholesterol. Pros: Damn good pizza, out of the ordinary ingredients that make some delicious food. I highly recommend the Mediterranean pizza, which includes mandarin oranges and goat cheese...WHAT!? It's so good! Cons: It's a bit on the small side, can get crowded easily, and the bar is generally smoky. I've only been a handful of times as I am new to the area, but it seems like I've seen the same people sitting at the bar each time I have gone, so there are definitely a few regulars. I got to meet the owner, a nice guy who went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Service can be a bit slow sometimes but it's worth the wait! Also, if you hate cigarette smoke there is a no smoking section in the back of the restaurant. It's an odd crowd, I feel like the bar is a cross between an old tavern and a sports bar. I went in expecting to see more of a tavern-esque vibe but there is also this odd BW3's thing going on, must be the big ass LCD screens that over power the small room they are in. I really recommend the food over anything else, if you have to get carry out so you too can experience this wonderful local pizza place without submitting yourself to a cloud of smoke. read more
