I am new to diving and the dive community. The staff at Macs is family based. They truly care for and enjoy their customers. The shop is lively, supportive and fun. They offer many in shop social events with food and games- good for mingling and meeting a variety of experienced divers. The shop sells a myriad of equipment, gear and clothing for water activities. Brian is the absolute BEST! He always helps me in understanding how to use, assemble, care for and service my kit and accessories. Their attached 10 foot heated pool is available for use to practice dive skills and to just get comfortable with your gear in the water. It is very warm and they offer children's swim lessons too. I have been to many dive shops, but as a novice, I am most comfortable with Macs for their comprehensive approach to new divers, their family atmosphere and all the fun I have been having socializing with the staff while learning new skills. read more

Kevin is extremely nice, knowledgeable, skilled & experienced. They provide most of the equipment such as your bouyancy compensator(vest), regulator(mouth piece) & the tank filled with pure compressed air. He makes a great selection for the open water sight. It is not too deep, clear visibility, & safe for your Open Water test which can help you to be relaxed. We just finished this week, and my wife Kristy & I was very pleased with Kevin's expertise, and his ability to teach us this "extreme sport". I recently decided to get my open water certification. I got to do it with Will, and let me say he made it one of the most fun and enjoyable experience to date. My buddy and I had an absolute blast learning the ropes with Will he made the curriculum super easy to understand and learn. We had a pretty decent sized class and I feel like we all succeeded exceptionally because of Will's ability to teach and connect. My husband and I were SCUBA certified through Mac's Sports in 1982 and it has been our dive shop ever since. The staff is very professional and helpful; always finding the best product for our needs and budget. I recommend Mac's Sports for your scuba lessons. I took my classes from Billy and Rich. Rich spent time to catch me up to speed. Don't take any used gear here to sell because they will rip you off. They put a sour taste in my mouth and I am never shopping here again
