A lot of doors and openers over that many years and the end result was to move on when I engaged them to replace my personal doors that they installed in 1988. I contacted Jeff C. from Doors by Mike to stop by for a proposal since they're in the neighborhood in Conyers. I was slowly moving over to Doors by Mike and decided when Jeff pulled out a proposal to rebuild my overhead doors as they were still in very good shape....just needed to be updated....that was trigger. The old timers garage doors group in Atlanta wasn't interested in proposing rebuilds with hardware, springs, rollers and sill insulated bulb....they had in mind their own brand door at four times the price of a rebuild. The end result....Doors By Mike recognized the value of the existing doors and since they were sound enough to simply rebuild and install a new opener....I had little problem with bidding goodbye to my former overhead door service providers. I was obviously more loyal to the old guys in the business than the old business was being to me. It's no longer the company that it once was. The recent install yesterday was a big boost to the appearance of the elderly house that I've been working on. It fits square to the opening and closes all the way down to the concrete threshold. The door is actually a product of the old timers garage door group. They missed the boat of providing a service rather than try to unload excess inventory that the sales people HAVE to push and move each month. If the door had been pretty much road kill and needed to be replaced rather than rebuilt.....perhaps a different tale. But as it is I'd still go with Doors by Mike. Good product. Good installs. Very approachable with regards to the optimal resolve to your overhead door problems or failures. As I retire after 50 years of homebuilding....it's good to know that Doors by Mike continues a tradition of working with customers to make sure that they're getting the best bang for their construction bucks for builders as well as homeowners.

My experience with this company: In 2021, I called Georgia garage doors, and ended up speaking to Jermey, based on when I called; it would have been considered an emergency if they had come to my home. Jermey asked me to take pictures and send to him. After reviewing the pictures he told me that he could walk me through it because it was very simple. He walked me through it, saving me the emergency trip fee and whatever the cost would have been to fix it. Most, if not all other companies would have come out, charged the emergency fee, and charged whatever they wanted to fix it . They would have never said it was simple to fix, nor would they have been willing to walk me through the steps to fix the issue and not charge me some type of phone repair fee. At that point I knew I would be keeping their number for ever. On January 19, 2024 -I had a major problem with my garage door. I had FaceTimed a friend in another state and showed him my garage door and he said, do not try to close the door because it was off track, a piece had fallen out, and it may fall which would not be pretty. He told me to call someone who works on garage doors immediately. I remembered having Georgia garage doors number and gave them a call. I spoke to Jermey again, and it was the same impeccable customer service I received in 2021. Again, I sent pictures - Jermey told me (not to try to close the door) - exactly what my friend told me. I did request for them to come out this time for an emergency because I did not want my garage door left up the entire weekend. Jermey came, and he was as polite, and professional in person as he was over the phone. He actually provided me safety options on what I could do to possibly have more time before having to purchase a new garage door. After doing my own research prior to contacting them and speaking with my friend while FaceTiming the door- I knew it was probably best for my household to go on and purchase a new garage door for safety reasons. On that Monday, I had my garage door installed. *Saying this company is Awesome,superior, fantastic, amazing, honest, and customer-focused does not do justice.
