She recently made an appointment for me with Make-up Artist Miroslavy Burgos and it was a fun, informative and a relaxed experience. Miro is wealth of knowledge (as is Dottie) about all things make up related! They both assisted me in my skin care and make up choices. I highly recommend Dottie (and Miro when she visits) to engage with these professionals regarding their beauty needs. I've shopped this Macy's for many years - and am so pleased that it has survived! Their prices are always reasonable, with a wide selection of any product you are looking for. We've purchased everything here from clothing, shoes, etc..to housewares, rugs, luggage and gifts. It's nice to be able to go into a brick and mortar store with all the online shopping these days - especially when I was searching for a dress for my son's wedding! I shopped at this Macy's location during a recent trip to the Burlington Mall. It is a decent sized location and pretty busy as well. They were running a sale on ladies clothing so I took advantage of the good prices they were offering and got a couple of summer tops. There were plenty of sales clerks walking the floor making sure customers were doing okay and finding what they were looking for. Plenty of registers were open as well so I had no trouble finding a cashier when I wanted to pay for my items. I stopped by the Estee Lauder counter to look around and the saleslady who was running the counter gave me some good recommendations on a new lipstick to try. Next time I am in the mall I will be sure to come back and do some more shopping at this Macy's store. read more

Overall I had the most luck at Macy's. Macy's is great. I went to the mall with a friend in hopes of finding a dress for an upcoming occasion and I didn't have any luck until my last stop: Macy's. I ended up finding 2 dresses but they didn't have many sizes on the floor so I ordered them both online. That's no problemo though. The only thing is there were long lines at the fitting rooms so we ended up walking to 3 different ones before finding an open one with a short line. The bummer was after trying things on, we walked back to the dress department to return the dresses we didn't like because at that point we had walked to a completely different section of the store. read more

Macys shoe department going down the drain. they leave their cashiers to also take shoes from customers which is not a good thing. if they are busy with checking folks out folks are awaiting to get their shoea to try on. It's been at least 10 years since I last ventured in here, and now I am positive I will never return to the Burlington store. I could go on and on about clothes on the floor, thrown over racks and some practically falling off of hangers and could also comment on the disgusting ladies restroom on the first floor. There was also my need to hunt down someone just so I could pay for a $10 item (and the only reason why I didn't leave was because I wanted to use a $10 gift card I found yesterday). These employees here need to realize that the reason malls and mall stores are failing is because the internet shopping experience is SO much easier in many cases than the real thing. This is completely the opposite of how things should be. I came here with one mission ... to buy a sportcoat that popped up in one of my ads. It mentioned that the sportcoat was sold out and I happened to go into The Burlington Mall and knew Macy's carried Ralph Lauren ... low and behold ... there it was! The sign next to the sportcoat showed that it was on sale for 40% off. This was a bit more expensive than the online price ... but I decided to buy it. When I went to the register, the woman told me that the signs were all left up from last week and the sportcoat would be full price. I protested a bit ... as the signs were literally everywhere and she agreed to honor the 40% off. Yet she said that particular sportcoat was not 40% ... even though the entire display (and the SKU number) matched the sign. I left it at the register as it was literally $160 more than it should have been because this idiot wouldn't honor the signs. (which, when I went to another Macy's I found out that they were actually supposed to be for that week ... not last week.) Finally, I made the decision that I was going to pay the extra $160. The sportcoat was not at 2 other Macy's I called and sold out online. I really wanted it. Before driving an hour back to this Macy's, I called to make sure it had not sold in 24 hours. The dummy on the phone told me, "There is no way we can see if we have it in stock." I asked how far away from the Ralph Lauren display she was and she told me that it was 'on the other side of the men's department but she had customers.' I told her I would hold ... literally I was going to pay $160 MORE than it SHOULD have been! She gave me a rude sigh and told me to leave my number and she'd check and call back. The call never came. THIS is why these idiots are going to be out of a job one day soon ... human customer service SHOULD be better than online clicks. Yet, it was impossible to even verify that they had a jacket on the phone. During my time there, the rude employees stood around and talked with each other vs. helping customers ... and then when a customer does ask for help, they are ruder. I hope these employees enjoy slinging fast food soon because with service like this, soon there will be no retail clothing stores and everything will be ordered online. Go the extra mile (or at least do your damn job!) for a customer and you might actually make the store you work for money! My guess is that in a year or two, this store will be empty because who would shop at an overpriced store if you can't even get a modicum of customer service? read more

Hard to find clothes, fitting rooms or assistance. There was very little stock, so very little in my size. No employees were around to assist or point me to a fitting room. With no employees prices should be lower. I had to find someone to ring up the coat AND they left on the theft protection!!! read more

This store sells deceptive furniture warranties. We purchased a power leather recliner in June 2023 and paid $168 for the 5-year policy. We were told that if we were claim-free the warranty cost would be refunded as a Macy's credit. The credit was never issued and upon calling I was informed that the time window had expired. After several phone calls their customer service members did not care that we were deceived that the credit was automatic and a request to receive a call from a supervisor was never honored. My wife's Macy's card has been removed from her wallet, and we will never shop at this store again. read more

Employees who work in this store are ill trained and rude. I know there are few exceptions but very rare. Asking to find products I saw online was like pulling teeth. They just don't care and never willing to go extra miles (in most cases inches). I understand they just want to goof around and get paid. I was appalled at the condition of this store!!! I've been to flea markets that were nicer! Clothes on floor, tissue paper flung all over the floor, and good luck finding someone to wait on you! Unfortunately for me, I did "find" one (after following her around and repeatedly asking her if she indeed worked there). She didn't speak ONE word to me, opened my return, looked me up and down, and then said she couldn't help me!!! This was in the woman's bathing suit department, 2nd floor. When I asked for her manager, I was told to go downstairs to customer service. I won't even begin that story (10 people in line ahead of me). So happy I can order from my favorite stores on-line (Macy's isn't one of them), and I hope this store goes under, way, way under where it belongs. read more

I recently purchased a lovely product on on sale markdown from $170 and I was so happy to be sending that to my mother in a nursing home. Every thing needs to be delivered to her due to COVID-19. I purchased the item on the Macy's app and had issues with the delivery. I called customer service who told me that they could not do anything for me due to the fact that I was not the person who was going to be receiving the product even though I am the purchaser I spoke with 3 people only one helped me. There are still issues unresolved and they refused to help! There customer service is outsourced to South America. Horrible! I am deleting my app!!! read more

You can find pretty good deals at Macy's, but you will have to do quite a bit of digging. I've been here a few times but never got around to review this particular location. It's not as messy as the Macy's in Natick, but far from organized. The sale racks all the way in the back of the store are almost always a giant mess. And I know that consumers are at fault for the chaos, but the employes did not seem keen on fixing the problem. There were two women back there last Sunday pretending to organize the racks. And I say pretend because one of them was on her phone, and the other was actually trying things on as she worked. The shoe section is much more organized, including the sale items. I was perusing the shoes that had been put on sale, when the same employee who was "organizing" the clothes in the sale section came over and began trying on all the shoes while she moved them around to ensure they were in the correct location. I understand trying on things while you're on break, but doing it while working is just weird. I always wondered why Macy's was so messy. Now I know. You can blame the customers for not returning items to their original location, but it's the employees who seem very reluctant to keep up with re-organizing the clothing that is out of place. read more

I've been shopping at Macy's for more than 25 years and was always pleased. Lately I don't even feel stepping into their stores or even buying anything from them anymore. They have some racist people working there. My daughter went to exchange something within 5 days of purchase. She was told by an employee that her kind of people always have problems. I went to the store and complained about it because that employee is known to be rude with ** before and is still being rude thereafter because she made my daughter's friend cried weeks after. Today I went to the store (Macy's, Burlington, MA) with my small dog, 9lbs (in a rolling pet carrier) which is an ESA and some lady from the executive office told me that pets are not allowed in the store, and no she didn't even ask me if the dog was a service dog. When I got home, I googled if Macy's stores don't allow dogs. Among all the major stores such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Apple stores and more is listed as a pet friendly store. So, what's really going on? I feel disgusted by them. My cousins and I came here looking for white slacks and in the Fall, it's not easy to find anything white. However, the associate in the men's department offered to order it for my cousin, but he said it wouldn't make it on time for when he needed it. I've been going to this Macy's for a long time, ever since I was about 12 and now I get to see it progress into this urban, multi-level store. The place is always packed from what I remembered and I even found my prom dress here when I was a teenager. Now, I come here as a much older adult and I get to see Macy's become more a department store and not so much like an outlet. read more

Macy's in Burlington has lost their customers to Amazon, and to online shopping, in general. First, they changed the time of their return policy, after years of it remaining consistent. Secondly, 90% of the salespeople are rude and do not want to wait on customers. Thirdly, 99% of managers are worse than rude and actually drive 'long-time customers' out of Macy's forever, with their arrogant words and behavior. The most belligerent and contentious managers are those working in the returns department. I had witnessed this occurring numerous times, and have heard this complaint voiced many times by relatives, friends, and acquaintances. Needless to say, I have not shopped at Macy's Burlington Store for a very long while, and do not intend to return. Customers do not deserve to be abused. The associates go out of their way to not help, the escalators are always broken and often roped off - leading to long lines for the elevator to the upper floors. The place is always disorganized, dirty and poorly stocked. Tonight finally did it and I'm just not going to ever go back. My wife and I were at the cologne counter for about 30 minutes looking for something for our son. Not a single associate came to help and the first word spoken to us was at 9 o'clock when someone came and said - folks we're closed and then lowered the gate to the mall and walked away. No offer to help, no offer to ring up the items we had with us already, nothing... so we walked out and don't plan to walk back in. If you're thinking about going, do yourself a favor and get the same thing (probably for less) on Amazon. read more

The most poorly run Macy's I've ever been to. This Macy's is within a few miles of my house, so I keep giving it chances out of convenience, but this has been my 3rd Black Friday where the employees were ABSOLUTELY CLUELESS as to what and where the free-after-rebate items are. This isn't rocket science! Obviously, these items will be highly sought after and there's, at absolute most, 10 of them. Is it really impossible for management to inform employees so they can help customers? I made a list of the exact items (including the company's name) to try to find things myself. One of the items was a $9.99 blanket, free after rebate. I actually saw an employee tell a customer, "Well, it's $9.99 so it's probably the rebate item." The customer (rightly so) said, "Ok, but IS IT the rebate item?" The employee basically shrugged and said, "It'll show at the register" and pointed her towards the check-out line about 15 people deep. In other words: I don't know, and I don't care. Go stand in that half hour line and MAYBE it'll be correct. That's how little the employees here about your shopping experience. When I intervened and pointed out to the customer and employee that it wasn't the correct brand, the employee just said, "Oh." but another one nearby actually did her job and looked up the item. According to her, they were sold out. At 12:36AM. Macy's opened at 12:30AM. So, either she was lying/didn't feel like looking for them, or Macy's must've had a whopping 3 or so in stock. Either way: Absolute crap. This has been the consistent attitude with situations I've dealt with at Macy's: "Gee, I don't know" then when you press for more info, the employees pass the buck onto some other department who also doesn't know nor care about your inquiry. Just buy our stuff and GTFO. I'm willing to bet the employees are delighted that this Macy's is so low-rated. That way, hopefully, you'll stop bothering them and shop elsewhere. AVOID!!! read more

A few weeks ago, on a stormy, wet day, I went to the mall and bought a few wash cloths, total sale about $25 at Macy's. I used my VISA card and the clerk gave me a hard time about not using my Macy's card, which was in my car. When I told her why I was not using it, she told me to go get it! Really! I should walk back to my car in the pouring rain so Macy's can make money charging me interest? You'd think the store would be happy it made a sale. Where do they get these people? I am 78 years old, and had difficulty following on-line shopping so I decided to call the women's Dept. and see if I could order from the store. Kathy was extremely helpful and ordered my purchase for me. I want Macy's to know that she is a great asset to the store and the reason I would keep returning. I give it one star due to the fact that Macy's does carry a complete inventory and has different items and sizes that are difficult to find elsewhere. The service at this location is almost indescribable. It appears that everyone with a Macy's badge is being held against their will. I've never been witness to a less enthusiastic group of people in my life. Now, I'm not going to mention any names because I would hate to read my name on one of these reviews some day, but let me tell you I was certainly tempted to use them tonight. Let me set the scene, I have 2 items. There are 2 cashiers at 2 registers. There is a customer at both registers when I approach. Ok, no problem I'll just go when the next person is through. Not an exaggeration, 30 minutes go by before the cashier on the left FINALLY finishes. Here comes the best part, as I'm walking to the register she looks at me and gives me the wait one minute index finger. EVEN NOW, I'm like ok whatever some people have a bad day. You know what she went and did? Organized coat hangers, just until the other cashier was finished and when I went over to him, she says ok I can take you now. Like for real? Seriously it was like she was screwing with me. I felt like I was being Punk'd. It' almost feels like they're getting paid to provide and uncomfortable and out right rude experience rather than a pleasant one. And If you do go to Burlington Macy's location, good luck finding a register to pay at. Took me a good 20 minutes to find anyone behind a register. 50 minutes to buy 2 pairs of shorts. read more

My comment relates to Macy's policies, not the Burlington store in particular. I bought a couch and was told that it included "white glove" service. That is supposed to include them moving your old furniture. Here's the exact phrase from their brochure - "Delivery professionals will only move like items of those being delivered to the same floor/level. The delivery professionals are not permitted to disassemble or assemble your existing furniture." To me, that means if your old furniture is on the 1st floor, they will move it to another location on the 1st floor. Well, the delivery guy was giving me a hard time about moving my old couch. Says he doesn't want to incur the liability for damage to my home by moving it. We argue about it for a while and then he agrees to it. Typically they just push the furniture to the wall in the existing room. Not cool. Here's the problem - the delivery guy is an independent contractor who gets these jobs. He's clearly an immigrant that doesn't carry insurance for these jobs and Macy's doesn't pay him very much for each job. Macy is probably exploiting these type of people but I'm being put in the middle of it which I don't appreciate. The other thing is that this contractor was not professional in demeanor or appearance. Macy's is a higher end department store, it's not Walmart. I expect a "white glove" delivery service to be higher quality as well. Instead, they seem to be hiring cheap immigrants who are probably working under the table and undercutting legal delivery businesses because a legit business should have liability insurance and worker's comp. read more

THANK YOU, MICHAEL! We were second in line when we walked into the Returns line. The guy returning a dress ahead of us...it wasn't going well. We waited. And there we stood....while my husband went back to the car, came back, line behind us got longer and longer. Phone calls, and finally the woman who was handling the return traded places with the man who was doing on line pick up. And he tried to resolve whatever problem there was. And we waited. There were now 12 people behind us. And then came MICHAEL to the rescue! He said come with him, just to a register almost directly opposite, took care of our THREE returns in less than three minutes, most pleasantly, and off we went. And then Michael got the next person in line. I don't know what or where he was supposed to be working, but we sure were glad he took the incentive to help us. read more

When did the tornado touch down in Burlington???? I would have to agree that this store looks like a twister touched down in this store. The fitting rooms look like pretty rough like a hold over from the 70's. Plus on a busy day, the garments are stacked pretty high. I have shopped here on a few occasions and found a good deal or two.The service is acceptable but nothing that stands out at you. Most of the time I would say that this Macy's misses more than it hits. read more
