I'm writing this review because I've had good experiences here in the past few weeks, and I thought maybe this location could use an updated perspective. I decided to check out this store to get something I needed for myself and the groomsmen for my wedding. Personally I found the staff to be helpful and attentive from the time I entered the store. I wouldn't say they were warm and welcoming, but they provided the service I needed. I was in and out of this store several times because there were more things I needed to buy as time went on. Whatever they didn't have in stock they were happy to order for me from other stores or warehouse. Also, the promotions they often have are hard to beat. I got three very nice ties for the price of one the other day. The manager measured me for a shirt to help me figure out what I needed. I took it home and tried it and found that the sleeves were too long. I went back a couple days later and they exchanged it for a better shirt without ANY problems. I felt taken care of here, and the staff were proactive in letting me know about promotions by letting me know that if I came back the next day I could get a better deal, or the manager was willing to give me a great price on an item at his discretion. I can't argue with service like that. read more

Pretty horrible customer service. I was browsing the shoes and a staff member came by with another customer . The staff member took the shoe I was looking at (I was holding it and allowed him to take it so he could show the other customer). The staff member then put the shoe back and moved on without a single word to me the whole time (a simple "thanks" or "someone will be with you soon" would be nice). Thought that was pretty weird but was ready to let it slide and kept standing near the shoes for another 5 minutes or so. Another staff member then came by me and said "there are three people working here , sir! No need to be mad! And proceeded to announce to the store that my "body language" was negative. ( I hadn't said a word). I'm not going to sit here and say I was giving a master-class in positive body language. ( I had been ignored and had to walk in front of the mirror a few times to confirm I was in fact, not invisible) but I was pretty surprised at the escalation by this employee. I understand being understaffed and know Jos A Bank is not going to provide premium level service (or product) but come on ... being ignored like that and then scolded unnecessarily by staff in front of the whole store in the same visit ? Can we do better than that? After this experience I decided to buy my shoes down the road at Nordstrom as I frequently get my work clothes there . I got amazing service at Nordstrom per usual! If all the men's clothing stores in Burlington formed some sort of basketball league Jos A Bank would be a JV team in a league of Varsity talent. So many better options for your money literally within 5-10 minutes. read more

I went there to exchange a pair of pants acquired online. They did not have them in the store. Rick was absolutely fantastic. He assisted with the exchange online. I also while there found a great deal on Khakis and Rick again stepped up and showed the value of the instore shopping experience. Thank you sir! Worst customer service I have ever seen. I used to come here 2 to 3 times a month to buy my wardrobe and then make updates. The customer service recently has become atrocious. Sales people drinking their Starbucks drinks and not paying attention to the customers. I sat there for 39 minutes just to get fitted for a suit which takes 5 minutes maximum. I just sat their as the sales people just kept walking buy taking phone calls etc. I was ready to purchase a suit and decided screw it. I'm walking out the door. I am amazed at how bad the service has become. Probably won't be back again. Amazingly their predecessors "the Men's Warehouse" they always find a way to ask if you need help. Always!!!!! read more

Awkward and awful experience. I had an appointment for a fitting. When I got there, I sat for a while before someone helped me. When I finally got help, the person helping me kept helping other customers. It seemed like she did everything in the store. I ended up asking someone else to help me with the fitting but he was also bad. They kept forgetting they were helping me, which is insane. It took about an hour for me to just pick a jacket and pants. I ended up just walking out. Don't know how someone can do their job so half-assed. I'll spend my money somewhere else. When my brother got fitted at Milton's, they at least cared a little. This is not little money. Don't know if it has to do with me being Asian or getting a suit last minute. Had to do a return the suit and said it was all wrong . Looked like an idiot for the wedding . Rick was good getting the return all set up . His manager David is an absolute d**k., walked away mid sentence and had no customer service. I wouldn't give them your business or pay cash . From groomsmen getting charged different prices, to getting the wrong color suits, to not being hemmed (after going back a second and third time to mark the bottom of the pants to where they should be hemmed) and not being able to find the wedding order in their online system. I recently had my fiancé fitted for a custom ordered suit being he's 6"5. Zach was absolutely incredible. Unfortunately I needed my fiancés fitted for my sisters wedding he told us to come in four weeks prior to the wedding to order the tux. We called all week and not on phone call was returned back. Being I know they are short staffed currently I decided to walk in after work to get a direct contact card or an appointment and was treated like absolute garbage when asking for assistance. This store allowed me to walk out without even helping me. She told me they can't control that no one picks up the phone, and that she can't give me a person to contact for further assistance. Bottom line if you do not work with Zachary you are basically screwed. read more

I have been shopping at Jos A Bank for over 10 years and have never had a problem. I bought a Suit in 2021 and after having it for 3 months the pants tore open for no reason. They replaced the pants at no charge. Same thing happen 6 months later and they said the suit is discontinued sorry cant help you. I called customer service and they offered nothing. I went into the store and at first they said sorry cant help you. Then before I left the manager said I will replace it with a new suit at 150.00 dollars and I asked could I come back she said yes. 2 days later I go back and the different manager (guy) with a real FU attitude tells me there is no way anyone in the store would say that they would give you half off for a suit that you clearly ripped yourself. I left and called customer service and they said they would issue gift rewards on my account and OF course they were never there. Long story short I will never step foot in a JOS A BANK store again and i will tell everyone I work and hang out with about my experience at this company. PS I am not looking for any money back or gift cards etc.. so dont bother me with the emails and phone calls etc YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE AND MESSED IT UP STAY AWAY FOLKS read more

Only went to this shithole because I was in a wedding and this was the store the groom picked. I was overcharged by $50, the suit fit like a trashbag, and the staff was totally indifferent. When you rent a suit they take your measurements two months before the event, then when it arrives at the store three days before the wedding it's too late to do anything about the terrible fit. My suit was sized to fit someone 60lbs heavier than me, I was stuck looking like a clown at my sister's wedding . When I complained, the staff informed me that 'every suit is made to fit three sizes'. Why even bother with measurements? Avoid like this place like the plague, they'll try to ruin your wedding, don't let them! read more

I have never taken the time to write a review on Yelp before but this was the third awful experience at the Burlington location so I felt the need to inform the greater public that your time and money would be better spent at another location or even a different store like the Men's Warehouse down the road. Every time I have been in here the staff did not know what they were doing, were annoyed when I asked questions, and made what should have been a quick transaction become a long drawn out effort on my part to find what I was looking for. Based upon the other reviews this is an ongoing problem at this location but management, despite responding to other poor reviews, doesn't seem to be proactive in remedying the issue. Went in to exchange a shirt that was a gift, but right away felt that the vibe in the store was unwelcoming, and sure enough the process of the returning the shirt left me feeling like I was inconveniencing the staff. Looking at the other recent reviews, all of which point to a management/staffing problem at this store, it's amazing that the problem and the store still exist at this point. Other Jos A Bank stores get high scores, their clothing is good, wtf does it take for the corporation to see that this store in particular is in desperate need of an enema. read more

I've bought numerous suits from this store probably upwards of 12 or so. Every time I go in the total experience gets worse. The guys working there are friendly enough and helpful. Here is my MAJOR issue. Whenever you buy a suit they send it out to be tailored in Maryland. This takes a scheduled 2 weeks, which I know to expect now when heading in there. However my last two trips the suits have come back in more like 3 weeks not the original 2 as promised. Then I got really annoyed when the salesmen there say they will take my name and number and call me as soon as they come in and I never receive a call. Great sales and clothing quality, but customer service after the sale is terrible. I will never go back again simply because they don't know how to treat a client after they've spent their money. I will also piggy back on an earlier statement that if you're young 20s that you can be ignored for a period of time and over looked if there are any older gentleman in the store. read more

I needed a new blazer for a wedding so I made the long drive to Jos A Banks. They had great selection of Jackets in my size To choose from.Tony was a great help and helped me find a new shirt and matching tie as well. The prices were good and joining an email service gave me an extra $25 off. I came here after a dismal experience at my usual clothing store. I'm not going to say where, but the name does sound sort of like Hens Hairhouse. I'm very glad I did. Not only did I get exemplary service from the moment I walked in the store, I saved money. I was helped by a gentleman named David who was exactly what I expect when I go to a retail establishment intending to spend $$$ on clothing. That is a sales associate who is knowledgeable, helpful, attentive and above all professional. The customer service here is spot on and they have won a new loyal customer. Thanks guys! read more

What an all around terrible experience. I was a groomsman in a wedding this past weekend. The suit rental didn't come in until the day before I had to be at the wedding location for the rehearsal. They didn't call to let me know, just sent an email that went directly to my spam folder. I was already made aware that I would likely have to call them to check, since this was also the case with the other groomsmen in the wedding party. One guy's suit didn't fit and I have no idea how they resolved it in time for the wedding, but I do know that he had to wear a pinned jacket because they couldn't otherwise resolve the issue. This all caused enormous stress to the wedding party and of course to the bride and groom. The suit rental was expensive for what it was. When I called and was told my suit had arrived, I expressed how it would have been nice to know that considering how close they were cutting it to the wedding day and got literally silence in response. I then forgot to immediately return the suit after getting home, which is of course my fault and that's fine. But did they call to remind me or ask where the suit was? Did they even send an email? Nothing. That would get in the way of them making an $80 late fee off of me. For returning a suit a couple days late. Insane prices, insane fees, insane we all had to wait til the absolute last second, insane that they care so little about customer service. The lesson everyone in the wedding learned is to never do business with Jos A Bank. Ever. read more

I visited the Burlington, MA location on the afternoon of Saturday October 6th. I was there to accompany my brother for a tuxedo fitting. I am getting married in November, and a number of my groomsmen are using Jos A Bank for their tuxedo needs. The customer service that Saturday was horrible. I waited 30 minutes for a sales rep to help me -- which is fine because the store was busy. My brother and I patiently waited for the sales rep to finish with the customer in front of us. When the sales rep -- Charles K -- was finished with the customer ahead of us, he could not have been less enthusiastic to greet us. When he did start to work with us, he appeared agitated. He made my brother and I feel as if we were a burden. While taking measurements on my brother, Charles K was rude and dismissive. When he sent my brother to the fitting room to try on a pair of pants, he rolled his eyes, audibly sighed, and muttered to himself "c'mon, man, hurry up". Never mind my brother had been in the fitting room for less that a minute. Charles K rushed us through the rest of the fitting and couldn't have appeared any less excited to have us as customers. He did a great job making my brother and I feel completely insignificant. I was planning on making a number of tuxedo accessories purchases at the location for my groomsmen that afternoon, but decided against it after my disappointing visit. read more

Ordered our groom and groomsmen suits at this Jos A Bank in August 2016 when the wedding was November 2016. A week out from the wedding and we did not have all the suits and the manager at this store was never able to come through on his word. We received 2 suits that are not the correct sizes and were told that Jos A Bank just does not make them so we were out of luck. Not sure why we did not receive this information in August when we purchased the suits as we could have made another choice to have correct fitting suits. Overall very displeased with both the service of the store and Jos A Bank for taking our money and giving us suits in incorrect sizes from what we ordered and paid for. read more

qualifying criteria: 3-4 trips, 2 suits, 1 jacket, a few other items purchased. executive summary: good quality & decent prices marred by poor customer service. the good: high quality clothing, designs and styles are traditional. great sales that make $800 suits affordable. the bad: *if you're under 50, you will be ignored*. on my first visit, i looked at suits for half an hour, while there were 2-3 employees in the store who were not busy with anyone else. eventually (after 30 mins), somebody walked over to me and asked if i had any questions. on my second visit, when i was looking for measurements, an employee told me he'd be with me in a few minutes. after 10 minutes, i saw him measuring a different - older - customer, who walked in after i did. i'm not in the habit of playing the victim, marching for rights or writing to ACLU, but in this case, there's a pretty obvious bias here. read more

Some of the best clothes I have ever bought came from this store. They have a good selection of shirts, slacks, suits, shoes, and ties. I have not been there in a while so I don't know if they are still expensive, but the quality is second to none. Their shirts will last you many years when shirts from department stores are getting shredded within a year of use. All of their clothes are sharp and you will look your best in them. The service is satisfactory too. read more

We visited this store last Saturday (7/21/2012) to inquire about tuxedo rentals. When we got there, the store was completely empty except for the two salesmen that were working there. When we walked in the door, we didn't even get a response from either one of them. I walked up to one of the salesmen (a fairly large hefty dude) to get his attention. He saw me coming over but was busy scribbling or something on a piece of paper. I don't know, he might have been in the middle of a crossword or something. He didn't even bother looking up or greeting us (or to tell us that someone would help us). He completely ignored us. So, we walked over to the other fellow and told him that we wanted to book tuxedo rentals for our groomsmen. He was very disinterested and tried to pawn us off the other guy (who then said: "you deal with it"). These guys just didn't seem to understand the concept of basic customer service. We were potentially going to bring at least $1000 worth of business to them, but not after this experience. Word-of-advice to other people looking to book tuxedo rentals (or need any suit related items). Don't go to this store. Instead, do what we did and go down the street to the Men's Wearhouse, where you'll like the way you look ... And, more importantly, you'll appreciate the way you're treated (their salespeople were very friendly and helpful from the get-go)! read more

The gentlemen who helped us, Pavel I believe his name was (Ukrainian fellow) was extraordinary. Working in Sales and Hospitality my entire life, I can say he was one of the best customer service/sales rep I have ever encountered. Even though we were in sweatpants and t shirts, Pavel Immediately approach my friend and I who needed some new sport-jackets/slacks/dress shirts and ties. Ill admit, my friend and I are both extremely awkward and uncommon sizes. (I wear a 29/32 and he wears a 38/29). Throughout the entire trip, probably an hour or so, Pavel did not seem the least bit annoyed as my friend and I tried on 30+ sport coats and slacks. He even went out of his way to personalize both our styles to our particular taste. I cant speak for the rest of the staff, but overall he provided great customer service and I walked out with some high quality clothing. Will be back. read more

Do not trust this store with your wedding!!!! My husband is a groomsman in an upcoming wedding, and the groom had set up an account with Jos. A Bank for their attire. He went to the Burlington store to get what he needed, and the salesman was completely incompetent. He first gave him the wrong pants, which my husband caught at the store, and took over an hour to assist him when it was only pants, a shirt and suspenders that he needed. The salesman didn't know how to use the computer, and got another worker to help him, but he was also clueless. My husband got what he needed and left. When he got home, he didn't trust that he was given the right items for the wedding, and when he double checked on his own, he saw they gave him the wrong suspenders. I went in to exchange them, and explained that they gave him the wrong item, which really could have been a disaster, they were unapologetic. The salesman actually said "he told me they were navy blue suspenders so i just gave him these." He didn't even look up the wedding party in the computer! The suspenders he needed actually had a pattern, so it was a huge mistake. He did not take responsibility, and the two workers I spoke with were unhelpful, and did not apologize. They did not care at all that they could have ruined a very important part of my friend's wedding. You can't have your bridal party all show up in different attire. If they're this incapable of looking up information about a wedding, they cannot be trusted. I had 2 friends who were planning to use Jos. A Bank for their own upcoming weddings and I've already told them to not do so. I'll be sticking with Men's Warehouse from now on after these 2 days of awful costumer service. read more

In four trips to Jos A Bank over the past year, I have had four horrible experiences. These all occurred at different stores, which shows this company has a complete lack of any structure or integrity. First time, the computer system was down, and I was overcharged without being told (Nashua NH store) Second issue was when I arrived to pick up my tux in Newport for a wedding, I did not even exist in their system even though I had a tux arrive. I was forced to wait in the store for nearly an hour to finally be given the tux that I was overcharged for. For some reason, I went back to your store in Framingham to buy a suit. After being ignored by 2 women folding at the front of the store for 15 minutes while standing at the register, I was actually helped by someone who knew what they were doing. However, getting nickeled and dimed ($10 for a pants crease!!!) for every tailoring change was absurd. Finally, I recently went to the Burlington store for a fitting for a wedding I am in in May. The fitting was fine, however we were told the price of the tux would be $189, and in the end it came out to $235 with "upgrades" we were not told would cost extra. Now that is is the second week of April, it's a bit late to change providers. We attempted to contact the regional store director, Jennifer Vone, and we were told that regardless of what the store manager said or didn't say, we would be getting charged for the "upgrades". This will be my last experience with this company. I find their lack of service and integrity ridiculous, and not to mention their prices are a complete joke. read more

For our wedding in July, we decided to use Jos. A. Bank, thinking they had a good reputation and quality suits. We had read reviews for Men's Warehouse and although it was just as convenient to go there, we didn't have a great impression of them. So, off to Jos. A. Bank we go. When my then fiancé and I first went to choose the tuxedos and colors, the gentleman we worked with was very helpful and seemed knowledgeable. Getting measured, nobody had any issues. Cut to a few weeks later - our ring bearer's mother went to pick up his tuxedo in a rush and did not try it on him, so she asked if that bag had the toddler's tux, to which the salesman replied yes, and she asked if his shoes were in there as well, to which the salesperson felt around the closed bag and said "yup". When she got home, she realized they had given her two year old son size 10 MENS' shoes and a tuxedo that was two sizes too big. She called the store and let them know and they said they MAY have the correct size shoes in on Saturday (the day of the wedding), so she waited until Saturday and went to the store in the morning (I should mention she was also a bridesmaid and didn't have time to be doing this the day of the wedding) and of course, the shoes were nowhere to be found. They gave her size 8 shoes - for a two year old. Needless to say, they did not fit. They told her they didn't make tuxedos any smaller than the size they had given her - if this was true, why wasn't it mentioned when he was measured weeks before? So our ring bearer ended up in an ill-fitting tux and couldn't even wear his shoes. We had to roll his pants so he wouldn't trip going down the aisle. I think the worst part is, he paid as much as the groomsmen. The manager offered her a small amount back, but not without attitude. We will never do any business with Jos. A. Bank again and will make sure all our friends and family getting married (and there are plenty of them) know not to go here, as well. read more

If we didn't contact them everyday up until our wedding, they would have ruined our wedding. It started by receiving a coupon in the mail for 1 suit free with summer wedding rentals. Went to this location to reserve the tuxes, but they told me to come back 1 month before the wedding. Went back a month later and picked out the tuxes for myself and groomsmen. They have plenty of different colors, but not many choices for tuxes. 2 weeks before our wedding, a groomsmen goes in for a fitting and they couldn't find my account. Not sure if our account was never entered or deleted, but I had to go back in to set it up again. 1 week before the wedding, tuxes are in and we try them on. Even though we ordered slim-fit, none of the tuxes were form fitting, measurements were all off, pants were pleated, and they just looked BAD. All the tuxes had to be altered again and were available for pickup 3 days before the wedding. We all wore our own white dress shirts. Needless to say, I have not gone back in for the free suit and they have not contacted me to go back in for the free suit. Good Luck! read more

Guys, if you want to save yourself a headache avoid this place like the plague. The service provided at this particular place was stunningly bad. My cousin chose this place for renting his wedding tuxedo along with his groomsmens' tuxedos. Keep in mind he chose booked with them a month and a half in advance. 1st they kept losing his information so whenever the groomsmen went to register they claimed nothing was ever registered under him. Happened 3x. 2nd, they measured us and when it got closer to the wedding date we find that the kind of tux my cousin wanted was not available. 3rd when the tux arrives a week before the wedding for the groom and groomsmen we find that the measurements that were measured were not the same. I had measured my waist at 35 and when it arrived for me to test the fit I find that i got a pant with the waist size of 44. The other groomsmen had similar issues. By that time the wedding was a few days away. It had to be corrected last minute. People had jobs to do so having to come back to the store over and over was crazy. The attitude of the staff in acknowledging their error made it seem like somehow we where at fault, no apologies. Lastly im not sure why but they seem to have charged different prices. I paid $200 for the rental and others paid less. Could it be that other groomsmen demanded a discount for the bad services? Not sure. Anyways we made the best with what we got. For a store that is a national chain i really expected better service and professionalism. If this was a mom and pop store i would have understood the bad service. Lesson learned is if it take you 3 x to get registered with them take your business somewhere else. Its already a sign that something is not right. Again its this particular branch. My boyfriend is in my brother's wedding and came here to get measured for his tux. Apparently the computers were down the day he went in so they took his card number and said they would process it the following Monday. We waited until late Tuesday to see if the payment had been processed-it had not. I called and was told that they couldn't look up the credit card number because the employee who took it was not in. Later they recanted and said they had it in the system so I caught them in a lie. Then, I was told the vest my brother picked was no longer in stock. A few minutes later I received another phone call from the manager saying that the vest was in fact in stock. He was apologetic at this point but it didn't make up for his earlier insouciance. I would recommend Men's Wearhouse over this store for men's wedding apparel. read more

Horrible experience, Stay away from this store. I rented a Tux here for my brothers wedding in NJ. I was assured that the Tux would be at a JOS. Bank at a location close to our rental home. Not there! The Burlington store didn't even submit my rental after the fitting into the system. There is no worse thing than to have one of the Groomsmen running around the day OF the wedding to find his Tux. This store told me it was the store in NJ's fault, NJ store told me it was Burlington's fault and on they went. I had to call back the Burlington store 3 times because they never returned my call after telling me they were looking into it! They even had the audacity to tell me to call freaking corporate to settle this! The NJ store had a tux over nighted to the store and assured me someone would be there at 8 to give it to me. THEY WEREN'T!! I had told them the wedding was at 10 and they screwed that up to. I intercepted the UPS driver, spoke to his supervisor in order to get them to give me the package outside the locked JOS A. Bank. I was late for my own brothers wedding, I have NO REFUND for this whole experience. Stay away from this place, totally incompetent. Late to my brothers wedding, unforgivable. read more
