It's not very often I take the time to leave a review for anything, believe me, and it's even less often that I'm the market for a suit! Let's just say that the last suit I bought has seen almost two decade's-worth of weddings/wakes and funerals! With a wedding coming up next week my wife finally talked me into picking up a new suit. I live relatively close to this location so I ventured in. I hadn't the slightest idea where to even start. I spent about 5-10mins just looking at mannequins STILL not knowing what I was looking for. Then I heard the quiet voice of Elijah from behind a rack or something ask "do you need help with anything?" If not for this intervention I think I would still be there! I told him my situation and as a younger gentleman who was sharply dressed himself I trusted in his sense of style. I told him straight out "I'm in your hands!" His recommendations were very simple, he guessed my jacket size just by looking at me and once we found a quick fit I liked he explained the fit options to me. Things I would never have thought of like would I prefer my shirt sleeves to show a bit at the end of my jacket sleeve? That was a "no" for me but it was nice to know I was informed of these things. He measured me up for my shirt, we picked one out together that I'm very happy with. I also purchased a pair of shoes and it was just nice to hear his opinions on a few pairs he actually owned himself. It steered me in the right direction and I didn't feel like I was walking out of there with a carbon copy of my 'ol man's suit. I was confident I'd be comfortable, that I'd look good, and let's face it, most importantly that everyone at the wedding wasn't talking about "the guy in the embarrassing suit"! Thank you Elijah for your help pal, you made what I thought was going to be a 3hr painful process into something that I enjoyed doing. It's great to see that there are young men around that are able to read a person, carry a conversation, and crack a smile while providing more than a "I'm not sure about that, sorry" when asked for help. Horrible service! Came first day for a fitting with my son on Monday, I was reassured we would receive a confirmation email. Nothing came on the email, called the store on Wednesday and was told we could come for a fitting only to arrive and being told the Tux was not in store, to come back on Thursday for a fitting. Came, sleeves were off and told me to wait 40 minutes or come back the following morning (Friday) I couldn't stay due to a previous commitment and was REASSURED by the store manager the tux would be ready when the store opened on Friday at 9. And guess what? Came at 11:00am only to be told it didn't get altered last night and that I should wait...! So frustrating it's not even funny. The woman who "took care of me" was dismissive and told me she didn't know anything..... Customer service... NOT FOUND! Save time and gas, go somewhere else! read more

My son and I came in last minute for a Tux, literally four days before prom! We met with Mariah, she was outstanding. Of course, like most teenagers, my son had specific ideas of what he was looking for and she jumped through hoops to accommodate him. She was so professional while being completely down to earth. She was kind and patient. She even blessed us with her expertise and recommendations which we greatly appreciated! She even made certain we were getting the best deal possible. I was in Burlington for a friend's wedding. Last minute he invited my younger brother and we had 24 hours to find clothes. Bill took a great deal of time and care helping my brother select something he felt confident in. He managed to get the pants hemmed and everything together on the same day. He never tried to upsell or push us on anything we didn't need. We were even able to find some other clothes for my little brother. Thanks to Bill and men's warehouse my brother had a great time and saw some people he hadn't seen in a decade. This is really a great store, the prices are great, and the service is some of the best. Very disappointed! We had an apt for 6 weeks, hoping to get SOME direction on what the process is like to rent/buy for our 2024 wedding so we can check this off the list. We walk in, tell them we have an apt, and the "consultant" was like ok and said nothing else. I had some questions and he barely seemed interested in helping us. I told him we have never been married before so I needed some direction on how this process works and to look at some options for my fiancé . He proceeded to give us zero direction, then walk away for 10 minutes , leaving us standing there. We stood there, while he walked out with a mouth full of food and proceeded to walk past us and go To another couple that just walked in. We waited another 10 minutes and then walked out. I've been here multiple times after many issues with purchasing suits and dress attire online, between the first day and the 14th day I've been here the gentleman that work here are fantastic charming break you with a smile and a handshake willing to work with you and help you look your best. The manager, Bill, and the sales associate Leo, or some of the nicest and professional gentleman I have met. they are not looking to make you spend more money but they're wanting to work with you and help you look your best. Bill and Leo are the representatives that you want to help you get a suit and the guys would be the highlight of your night at a cocktail party. I used Men's Wearhouse for our wedding party tux rentals. It was by far the worst experience. First off - they always had a different answer for when the men should be fitted, when they should pick things up, when they should be resized, etc. - one of the employees actually turned one of the groomsman away at the store because it was "too early" to be fit. 3 days before the wedding the groom's tux did not fit and did not have enough time to be resized and reshipped - he was resized a total of 5 times! We ended up buying a completely different and new suite! Every single groomsman had an issue with their suites from the pants to the jackets, to the tie - it was literally awful and so much extra stress. The day before the wedding a groomsman picked up his suite (after being sized 2 times) and the jacket was so tight it was going to rip in the back. The employees said "there is nothing they could do". The day of the wedding he had to drive 45 mins to a different store to pick up a new jacket which the store DID NOT HAVE!!! He wasted 45 mins there and 45 mins back on the wedding day without having any changes after being promised a new jacket. I had the worst experience with not only this store but also the Somerville store, Peabody store and a store in New Hampshire. If you are a bride seeking suite/tux rentals look anywhere else, save yourself the unneeded stress of this. read more

Terrible service. My son and I went there for him to be fitted for a tux for a wedding. He had all the necessary information. Was told he needed an appointment. There were no other customers there and two or more employees there. One employee, not aware I was with my son, asked if I needed help. I said no, i'm with him. There is absolutely no reason they should not have been able to help him, especially after telling us that a fitting takes about ten minutes and there were no other customers. My husband needed a suit last minute for a funeral. Bill greeted us and offered to assist in finding what we needed. My husband is NOT a shopper and was not in a great state of mind. When I say Bill was a miracle worker I am hardly exaggerating. He got my husband's sizing correct on the first try for all pieces, he gave great suggestions when asked and was not pushy or trying to upsell. This store is the epitome of horrible customer service! Tonight, I went to pick up a suit that I bought last week. After waiting for nearly 30-minutes, with y ticket in my hand, someone finally asked my last name and if I wanted to try the suit on. Of course, he was gone when I came out; and after changing again, I came out and was asked if I was "all set." He took the suit, which looked as if it had been crumpled the entire time during alteration, and returned with it in a dry cleaners plastic. WHAT HAPPEDNED TP GARMENT BAGS!?! They've convinced me to take my money elsewhere and to warn every guy I know to avoid them like the plague. Men, unless it's sheer convenience, spend your hard earned money where you're at least treated with some kind of appreciation for your business. read more

Came here with an interest in their custom suit program, ended up with two custom suits...and eventually 3 custom shirts from this same location. So far I'm very happy with the suit value and quality, the stores sales people were consistently helpful, professional and friendly. The custom design program is a real draw for this store and a much better value than spending hundreds on something that fits well but not perfectly. I have to say this store definitely has a nicer selection and a more professional staff than the Medford location, it's also more accessible with parking and such compared to the busy & crowded streets around Medford. read more

The WORST customer service I have EVER EXPERIENCED. Would give them a 0/5 if I could. Made an appointment and was running a little late, called 1 hour in advance to let them know and the guy on the phone said it's okay if you come in 25-30 minutes after your appointment time because we are already running behind on appointments. I call as soon as I get in the area to make sure they can still see us and the guy blames me for "missing my appointment" because I showed up 30 minutes later. If I could give a half star, I would. I very rarely write reviews but this experience needs to be shared with hopes this store either makes better choices or just closes. To be clear, I've rented tuxedos from them previously for weddings and I've also bought one for a wedding. This is not a rental vs purchase issue, this is a lack of competency and deplorable customer service issue. There was one man there named Leo who was a saint and I wish I worked with him from the beginning. ABSOLUTELY nothing fit. To make matters worse I was supposed to pick it up two days prior and "their truck broke down" so there was no time for alterations; I should've known I'd need them because every experience with them prior has also been awful. The jacket was huge, came down to my knees and arm length was offensive. The pants were MC Hammer parachute pants. The shirt was so tight that a button kept coming undone, and the sleeves made me look like a pirate. The measurements were so off I'm not sure if they even took them or just gave it the ol' eyeball. The grooms suit did not fit him either-he had to rush a dry cleaning order for $60 and wear his own suit. I ended up bringing my own suit as well. For the amount of business they do you would think there was some pride taken. While the groomsmen were all getting ready we realized one of them had a different jacket and there was no pocket for a pocket square. Come on. The passive aggressive & defensive approach one of the employees took towards the situation, myself , and the actual problems I was having was making things 1,000 times worse. Overall, I spent over $200 on a tux rental for my best friends wedding that I did not even wear. The groom did not wear and we all wore different suits. I was on hold for 30 minutes before an employee came back and hung up on me. I took a picture of the ridiculous jacket provided to me after they "fixed" the issues JUST so the public has a reference. Have you ever seen the show 'Doug' on nickelodeon where they are all in oversized coats? Well you will have a sense of the episode after viewing this picture, embarrassing. Save your money, time, stress, sanity and do not use Men's Wearhouse for your most special day. I wish I could say this was the first time this happened here, I've left out the colorful dialogue the employee and myself had to spare you the time-but I will not ever forget it. If you live in the United States and have used a TV in the past 15 years, you have no doubt seen one particular commercial. No, not the Cialias one that always seems to spark up any good family movie night... It's the cousin of the Most Interesting Man in the World guaranteeing satisfaction with "the way you're going to look" at Mens Warehouse. While he seems like a great guy to choke on a cigar with and pretend to like scotch, he may want to check in on his fearless team in Burlington. Welcome to the first negative GIART review... I will preface this with a few notes on myself. A sneak peak behind the curtain of the Gorilla in a Red Tie, so to speak. I am a larger man than most. I wish I meant that zipper down, but I'm referring to the overall scale of arms, legs, gut, ego, etc. I wouldn't want to stand behind me at a Jo Bros concert. So, knowing this, I have always spent a few extra pesos when it comes to wedding and funeral suits. I'm not putting Gam Gam in the ground looking like a train rifter from the 20's. When my dear friend made the fateful decision to marry his lover and dress his groomsmen in rented tuxes for a summer wedding, my heart sank. (Not for the marriage part, she's lovely). My initial dealings with the fine folks of Men's Wearhouse was delightful. I awkwardly stood in the middle of the showroom as lost as the Pope in a whorehouse, and gave them the best "I need help, I'm not just looking at pocket squares for fun" look. Behold! A "tailor" appeared to save me from leaving out of social anxiety. A lovely man took my measurements with one eye closed and the other one wandering to the clock for lunchtime. I knew immediately I was going to fit into this suit just about as well as I fit in at Bible Camp in the Summer of '01. It would be hot, sweaty, uncomfortable for all involved, and no way out other than finding God. Tux "tailored", shoes slipped on, and shirt measured by Helen Keller herself, I was out of there. Fast forward to the glorious wedding day! What a sight! Flowers, river walks, pictures, dresses, champagne...and me...looking like a 13 year old going through puberty. The jacket was up my armpit and into my shoulder blade. The pants, thankfully adjustable. The shoes, the damn shoes....I think they left this cow in the sun too long because these bad boys squeaked for mercy with every delicate step down the aisle. The shirt, what a sight. The cuffs would have made Captain Hook and Jerry Seinfield jealous. As wide as it was long, she caught the wind by the water and almost set me on my maiden voyage. The final touch? A pre-tied tie, shining in the sun, just long enough to almost make it to my belly button. I'm not saying the staff or anyone I dealt with was unprofessional or unkind. But when it comes to tailoring a suit, however cheap the groom went with, take a few moments. Maybe gently lay that tape down the shoulder and hesitate when you look at the numbers. I have a hard enough time getting a young lady to dance with me in general, wearing the jacket and tie of a 12 year old doesn't help my cause. -GIART read more

I wanted to review Men's Wearhouse as they were used for my own suit and my groomsmen's suits for my wedding. This was primarily the top option as I had groomsmen that were out of town and figured this might be the best option. I went in with my wife to find a good suit, but at the same time, not break the bank in costs. After perusing the rack, the salesman there convinced me that having a custom suit was the best way to save money versus the on the rack option, due to having free alterations for life. Ultimately, i ended up going with the custom option and payed close to double what I expected to pay. With the custom option, there was extra fees for vests, and extra fees for big and tall sizing that wasn't gone over till I was into the process already. Although he was nice and helpful, I felt I was somewhat mislead by the salesman, being someone who never really buys suits. In retrospect, I probably should have stated what my budget was and gone from there, but that was a negative. My groomsmen also had issues in other locations regarding shoe rentals. They were told when to pick up rental shoes during a certain date/time window, but I kept on getting emails that my groomsmen had not been sized for their suits (which they had), and got calls that the guys were extremely close to not having their shoes ready, which caused me to freak out. Once the remaining groomsmen came in based on the agreed upon date/time to pick up shoes, they were threatened with a late fee, which they refused to pay rightly. Poor organization and communication all around. Ultimately, the suits ended up looking great and on time which saves this review, but not enough for me to give this an "A-OK" or 3 stars. It's probably worth a 2.5 rating overall. I did get a slight discount on dress shoes, and gift cards to use towards future purchases, but felt the negatives outweighed the positives on experience and costs. I would recommend that the salesmen go over costs a little more with the consumer ahead of time, and make sure that communication is worked on in regards to when items are coming in and how it is communicated to the consumer. read more

I have been shopping here for years but the service has been on a steep decline over the past few years. The last visit, I waited for over five minutes while employees talked to each other and did busy work. Finally I asked someone for help to find a few new suits and the employee seemed annoyed that I bothered him. He immediately started to sell the custom suit and when I told him I didn't want to go that route he was visibly frustrated and basically gave me no options. I asked if he could order something and he didn't seem interested in going through the steps so I left. I would advise shopping somewhere else for suits as I will be from now on. read more

BRIDES: Don't bother coming here!!! Waste of time. I wish someone told me how awful this store was before I came in. Over the last 8 months of wedding planning, visiting this location was BY FAR the worst experience I've had doing anything wedding-related (and if we're being honest, I can't recall a worse case of customer service in my recent memory). My groom's father just passed away so we went into the store to pick the formal wear for our October wedding, and we even brought his mother along, as a fun way to get back into wedding planning. We were ignored for about 10-15 minutes, and then when finally approached we told the salesman we had an appointment booked for noon and he didn't notify anyone of our arrival. Another couple walked in about 10 minutes after us and also said they had an appointment booked for noon. There was apparently only one "gentleman" (and I use that term loosely) available to help both couples so he walked over to us, barked at us and the other couple to sit down, and then told us he'd be doing our appointments at the same time. He literally sat there and did our intakes at the same exact time (i.e. would ask me/my fiance our info., and then turn to other couple and ask exact same questions of them). It was so unbelievable impersonal and unprofessional we left after about 4 intake questions. We walked out of the store with no apology or inquiry into why we were leaving and so my fiance went back in to speak to a manager. A salesman went over to the manager, who was folding clothes at the time, the manager looked at my fiance and then went back to folding clothes and after waiting about 5 minutes of the manager ignoring him (letting us very clearly know he didn't care about our concerns), my fiance decided to just leave. You should all be embarrassed at how poorly that store is run. I don't think that being pleasant and nice to customers is asking for too much. read more

Made an appointment to get my husbands measurements we were told "go sign your name, and we will get to you." 2 hours later we finally got his measurements. My father in law couldn't get his suit until 12 hours before the wedding because "they couldn't find it". It was in the back the entire time. The suit was terribly fitted. Easily the worst experience I have EVER had at ANY store never mind clothing store or a Suit specialty store. The incompetence of the employees mixed with the lack of structure and 0 processes in place will lead to the most frustrating situation you can imagine. Wedding party of 6 who all bought suits from this store had nightmare after nightmare. Lost measurements, incorrect orders, wrong sizes, messed up on the alterations, over charged, never called, forgot orders, wrong color shirts, called wrong people, gave other peoples suits to the wrong people...and the list goes on. They just have no idea what is going on. The employees stare you blank in the face and say "I'm sorry" in an ever so not sincere way. No discounts, no attempt to fix the situation, nothing at all. Place is a joke and EVERYONE who works there is pathetic at their job. I would suggest you go to ANY other Suit store in MA before coming here. read more

I'm sorry to hear about the other guys' experiences here, but when my husband and I came here to stock up on some suits, we had the BEST experience. Meg asked us if we needed help literally two seconds after we walked into the store. She asked us a few questions about what specifically we were looking for, then went to town showing us the kinds of suits that my husband might want in his wardrobe. We pretty much loved all four suits she showed us. While I waited outside the dressing room, Meg brought me a glass of water, and we struck up a friendly conversation about where we're from, areas we've lived in, etc. Then she showed us the suits with a couple of shirt-tie combos, even some suspenders, and then stepped aside so we could take a look at them and decide what we wanted. We ended up getting a few shirts and ties, but not all of the ones she suggested, and she didn't say another word about it! No pressure. She also let us know that, in addition to tons of other sales we were taking advantage of, we could get one more shirt for free. It was the easiest thing ever. I did take a look around at some of the other sales associates, and I was glad that we were working with Meg. There's definitely a, uh, *spectrum* of friendliness and quality among the employees here, and Meg is definitely at the top. Tip: The location is kind of hidden in a side street off Middlesex Turnpike. It's by the intersection of 2nd Ave and South Ave, adjacent to the Macaroni Grill. read more

Had a pretty terrible experience here when getting measured for a tux for a wedding. A sales associate greeted me and asked how he could help. When I said I needed to get measured for a tuxedo for the wedding, he had a definite lack of interest in helping me from that point forward and directed me to another associate who was currently busy. When the other associate finished, he began to take my measurements -- but was incredibly inaccurate in his measurements. I'm 6'2", 195 lbs., and they measured my neck at 15.5 inches (it hasn't been that small since high school) and they noted that I should receive a small vest with my tuxedo. I remarked to them that I thought those measurements were off, and they told me that it should all work out and not to worry. Of course, when I came back to try on the tuxedo two weeks later, the neck didn't fit and the vest was way too small. The jacket was also too small, and when I said it felt tight through my shoulders and I couldn't lift my arms, an associate remarked "Do you wear suits? You're not really supposed to be able to move or lift your arms in a tuxedo or a suit." Really astonishing how badly they screwed up and refused to admit a mistake. Frustrating that I then had to make a subsequent trip two days later to pick everything up again when they finally got the sizes correct after I just tried on everything during the first trip in different formats so they could size me that way -- why they didn't try that when initially sizing me? I have no idea. I'm giving them two stars because when I returned Sunday morning after the wedding to bring back the tuxedo, I got there at 10:50 a.m., and they opened the doors 10 minutes early when they saw I was simply returning the tuxedo. So they get an extra star for some kind of decent customer service when every other interaction with them was a disaster. They should really train associates better on how to measure people for garments when that has to be the majority of the business this place is doing ... hopefully they'll do that in the future. read more

As has been mentioned by multiple people across this board, all Mens Wearhouses are the same- what sets them apart is the customer service. Unfortunately this location sets the bar on the wrong end. My fiance and I went in to check out suits for our wedding- we literally waited around for 10 minutes till someone helped us out. Even worse, I have never seen someone so disinterested in helping out a customer. If you're getting married for the first time (or even third!)- some advice is definitely welcome from the suit guys in terms of fit, sizes and what not. I always give the sales folk in the store some consideration in busy times, but the store really wasnt that crowded. We walked out, the last straw was a salesperson just bumping into my fiance and giving her the stink eye for apparently being in his way when he was making a sale to someone else. My husband and I have been here twice, both have been great experiences with Steve. The first time, my husband wanted a nice suit to last "until he's buried in it" (hopefully not soon). We ended up purchasing two wool suits, two for the price of one. That sale didn't technically start until the next day. Steve also helped us pick ties that were on sale. The second time, I wanted some men's suits. We set a budget and started looking. Some women may have difficulty fitting into men's suits and Steve was very helpful in explaining what to look for in terms of fit. I also ended up purchasing two wool suits: two for $500! That's less than the cost of just one of those suits when they aren't on sale. I felt very comfortable and welcomed trying everything on and chatting with the other employees during any wait periods (sometimes the associates have to help more than one customer at a time). I guess women buying suits is not as uncommon as I thought it would be :) In both occasions, the suits were ready for pick-up from tailoring in about 2 weeks. Sorry to see that MW has such negative reviews..we had a fantastic experience. Walked in and were seen right away in a store flooded with customers - our sales person, Matt was also working with another couple but gave us consistent attention as we had no idea what we were doing. Seriously, he was the perfect sales person. He worked in our budget, got us two suits for the price of 1 for our budget, and fitted my hard-to-fit-skinny husband perfectly. He gave us the right amount of attention/suggestions without smothering us, and really worked to sell to us according to our needs (my background was in sales so I was very impressed). He actually started us off with one suit that was way above our budget, which we then informed him of- and he worked hard to get us as much as he could with the price we had in mind. We ended up with a black and a blue/grey suit for my husband as well as two shirts, two ties, and two pocket squares. He did a great job making suggestions based on interviews and what's most common and what colors work best as well. We were very pleased. Nice suit and price although I will say I was told 2 different prices through the process. That's not the real issue. The real issue is the attitude of the workers. They literally criticized me for my hand righting on my signature telling me I really need to work on that like I'm in elementary school. The lack of eye contact and the rude tone has really turned me off from this store. I've also seen many similar reviews I don't see how this trend continues at this location, new management is probably required.
