My fiance and I did one of our wedding registries here. They carry most everything you need and more of the stuff you might need and even more of the stuff you don't need but since it's a registry, we needed it. After registering at 2 other locations, Macy's filled in the gaps for bedding and bathroom towels. We registered for almost the same cooking category items at Crate & Barrel, so we knocked that out quick. Macy's staff is very very helpful, or very very bored. I couldn't tell myself, but they really were willing to doing anything to help. For myself, I'd been at this for 6 hours at other places and really just wanted to get in and get out. They have a great program that the bride and groom get to keep 20% of the total in reward points purchased off your registery, a type of store credit. We will see how that really ends up working in the end. read more

I went there to return a jacket my daughter got for Christmas from a relative because it didn't fit her. Although I didn't have a gift receipt I had all the tags on it and was told I could receive store credit for it at least. I had an employee take me up to third floor using the freight elevator because their elevator was out of service and I had my baby and stroller with me. When I went to the counter on the third floor in the kids department an elderly Indian woman who worked there was extremely rude and told me there was nothing she could do for me since I didn't have the receipt. I knew this was untrue as a previous employee had just told me it would be no issue. She also was extremely rude to me when I asked her if she was sure and when I said what if I came back with the relative and we showed the card which it was purchased on and she still said no and continued to be so rude stating I'm out of luck. Then When I asked her to call an employee to escort me back down the freight elevator she told me no and that she couldn't help me and that no one could help me as everyone is busy (she didn't even call and ask she just immediately turned down helping me). She shouldn't be employeed as her customer service is severely lacking. I found another employee who was extremely helpful, he was a younger gentleman who escorted me down the elevator and also took me to a register to give me store credit for the baby item and informed me she was wrong about saying there was nothing she could do. read more

Macy's has really changed over the last 10 years. It used to have quality merchandise, an "upscale" atmosphere, and great customer service. Now their products are cheap, their sales floor looks like a thrift store, and they are less guest focused. There have been multiple occasions that I've ventured in to the Cherry Creek Macy's and have left disappointed. The most recent was when trying to purchase a product at the Clinique counter. I waited 15 minutes while the sales associate helped another guest. She never once acknowledged me though I waited patiently at the counter. Perhaps she could have called another associate for help or at least said "I'll be right with you"....? I finally just left and went next door to Nordstrom's to make my purchase (where I received immediate assistance). While Macy's does have great sales, it's easy to find similar products and prices online on Amazon or other websites. read more

I ordered my bedroom set in March 2018 to have delivered to my house in June. Come delivery day I got everything I ordered, EXCEPT for my bedroom set. I immediately called customer service, which they advised me the bedroom set I ordered and paid for was on back order... WHAT THE HECK??? So I had to pick a new bedset to be delivered two weeks later, on top of that I had to pay a new delivery free!!! Ridicoulus! 24hrs prior to the new bed being delivered, I contacted customer service to get the time of the delivery, they advised me my delivery was canceled, and they did not know a reason of the cancelation.... The only thing they could do tell me was "we can have your bed delivered a week from today." TOTALLY NOT ACCEPTABLE! read more

Wow, Macy's - you surely have stepped up your game! Never before have I been approached by so many different sales associates offering assistance. Everyone was so nice and helpful during a recent Friday afternoon visit. Special thanks to Diane and Alex for their teamwork and excellent customer service. And you don't want my 15% off coupon because you can give me a better deal with your 20% off VIP sale? And all this time I didn't even realize I was a VIP. I've always found great deals on Macy's clearance racks. You have to rummage through them but it's really worth your time. Even though some of the items are overpriced to begin with, they turn into bargains once the stock diminishes or the season changes. The same goes with the jewelry. You can find some nice pieces for a fraction of the original price. I would say that this location is a fairly typical Macy's store. You can usually get close parking on the upper levels in the garage, which is quite handy. Oh, and all of the loudspeaker announcements now begin with "pardon the interruption" or "good afternoon". Oh, my gosh.. Calling this place over the phone is hopeless. I've traveled all over the world, lived across the UK (some of their accents can really throw you), and worked with people from even more countries than I've visited, and I have never, ever struggled to understand someone so much as the woman who answered my call. It was bad enough that I said, "Thank you," got in my car and drove there to answer my own question, haha. So much for customer service! Once in, a woman at the makeup counter (which I was zooming through) tried spraying perfume on me while asking me if I needed help. Total twilight zone moment! I popped in today to look for inspiration for what to wear for this weekend's Derby Party, because like a lot of guys, I have no fashion sense and before this I'd never even heard of 'Southern cocktail attire'. They have a small display showing two men mannequins and one woman mannequin ('womequin'?) dressed for the Derby. While it helped me a bit, I realized that I need the help of a professional. Bryan, one of their salesmen, came up and offered his help. He was friendly and helpful. I didn't end up buying anything there, because $250 seems like a bit of a high price for what's essentially going to be a Halloween costume in April. I understand that other people might have occasion to wear this suit more than once per year, and of course there aren't a lot of people who are as cheap as I am, but if the price were just a bit more reasonable in my view, Macy's would've gotten both a sale and a 5 star review. I have been here several other times over the years, especially when cool items are on clearance. The staff has always been friendly and professional, and are usually willing to help a fashion-backward individual like myself. They have a great selection of clothes that look, IMHO, nice and stylish without being too ridiculously over the top. read more

I have never really been a fan of Macy's, Foley's and May Co. They are big department stores that carry tons of stuff that I would never buy or want. You have to weed through quite a bit to find the specific thing that you are looking for. They are a retail necessity. read more

This Macy's is not the best Macy's, but it's certainly not the worst. Having previously worked here, I can understand some of the grievances people have with the store, but not all. No "perfume lady" is going to just spray you down with perfume if you don't ask for it. No one is going to pressure you into buying that handbag you're eyeing if you just say, "Yes, it's a very nice bag, but I have more shopping to do." Use common sense! If you're in a commissioned department, like shoes/cosmetics, don't waste the associates' time. They are working very hard to make their goals and if you tend to be wishy-washy, they feel free to shop online. Macys.com exists for a reason. I do wish the plus-size section was larger here. The only things I buy out of it are 2nd/3rd marked INC or online returns. Everything else screams "old lady" and I'm just not ready to commit to tropical prints and elastic waistbands while I'm still in my (late) twenties. The kids section has the best clearance. When buying gifts for children, this is the Macy's I go to. Yes, I'll buy full-price for a particularly cute item, but as fast as kids grow out of things, it's just not practical! Also, even as a former employee, the kids section is where I get the most help from associates. Others won't even look me in the eye (and when I'm carrying around $60 worth of glassware, you think they could be "bothered" to do so. So kudos to the associates in the kids department for either not remembering me, or just being better at their job than some of their peers. read more

God, just the worst experience ever. I hate shopping for clothes, always have. So buying overpriced crap is stressful enough, but I bought a dress here today, got home, and the girl that put the dress in the garment bag didn't notice that there was a $60 shirt already in there. I get home, discover the shirt, call the store. "Can I bring it back tomorrow when I come to work? I have to be somewhere tonight." No, says the person I talk to on the phone, we've been looking for that shirt, I'm going to come and pick it up. She gets all my contact info, including detailed instructions on how to get to my apartment. TWO HOURS of waiting by the phone later, I finally call the store back. Apparently it's fine if I bring the shirt in tomorrow, but I'm already an hour and a half late. Thanks, Macy's staff. read more

The Cherry Creek Macy's is the best store I've ever been to. I mostly come to this location for shoes. Every single time I come in, I receive the best possible service. I just went in there today and once again their employees have proven that they are the nicest, most helpful individuals in any store. Macy's made a delivery in our neighborhood and after delivering the item to my neighbor the delivery guys dropped off the large empty container and packing materials down the street in an ally and drove away. The container is now falling apart and the contents are all over the place. Big Mess, I tried calling Macy's but they don't have anyone that can take care of this. Ended up coming here to purchase some running shoes but ended up leaving empty handed because the guy that was working the area didn't care that there were a couple of people waiting to try some shoes on. Just stood there with a blank look on his face and we ended up having to go up to him after waiting around for awhile. I bought some gloves for my mother for Christmas. They were a size too small and she went to exchange them. When she went to exchange them she had the gift receipt from the purchase. She went to go pick out another pair of gloves in the meantime they credited my account and made my mother pay for the gloves. I cannot believe the poor customer service Macy's has been providing lately. Today I'm going to cancel my account and I will not step another foot into any Macy's store. Well my mother was looking for gloves the associate was following her through the store like she was a criminal. She's 80 years old. I'm not a fan of this location. They don't keep a lot of sizes in stock and the staff isn't very friendly. I used to come to this location for their plus size department, because it was larger than the other Colorado locations, but the last time I visited, they had decreased the department by half, as well as their Petites section. When looking in the regular ladies department, I saw that most items were on the wrong hangers and that only a few sizes were offered per item. This is not the case at other locations. read more

Unfortunately I feel that what kind of experience you get from this Macy's depends on the department and the time of year. Case in point, I was helping my boyfriend get a suit from the men's department, and Bert was the most helpful salesman I've ever had the experience of working with. Granted there were at times that they were swamped, but Bert always made sure that we were taken care of. I think during the holidays, they are better staffed in many of the areas. I have to say I am pretty surprised by the reviews of this store! Granted, I have only been here once (this weekend) but the experience I had was so wonderful, that I just had to come here to review. I just sent this to Macy's corporate website as well, but I know how important yelp reviews are to the place that I work, so I thought I would leave my experience here too. I just wanted to take the time to mention a positively wonderful experience that my husband and I had at the Macy's Cherry Creek store in Denver, CO. We came in to exchange some gifts that we received from our wedding registry. After returning the items we had to exchange, we started looking around and seeing the large luggage department, we remembered that we had been wanting to purchase luggage for a while now, but always had a hard time deciding what to get. As soon as we arrived in the luggage department, we were greeted by a very friendly representative named Douglas Brown. He showed us around, and let us look at all of the different options - this store has quite a wide variety. We didn't know much about luggage, just that we wanted something that would be durable and long lasting. Douglas took the time to help us find a brand that we liked, and then we spent about 30 minutes looking at all of the luggage as he showed us the many different features and discussed the pros and cons about all of the items we were interested in. He even had a tape measure in his pocket to show us the different measurements, and was on the ground opening it up, zipping and unzipping every pocket, showing us every square inch of the pieces that we liked. He answered every question that we had, and was just incredibly friendly and helpful the entire time. We selected a luggage set, but we weren't done shopping yet. Although his business card says "luggage specialist", he was incredibly knowledgable about many items, and helped us pick out a toaster oven as well. As we are from out of town, he even gave us a recommendation for dinner that night, which we took his word for and thoroughly enjoyed (Brio, in case you happen to be here - Italian place down the street, it was fabulous!). All in all, it was just one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had, and we will certainly be returning to the Macy's in Cherry Creek because of our wonderful experience with Douglas. Kudos to Macy's for having such a wonderful, knowledgeable, and truly caring employee!! TL;DR - If you want to buy luggage, find Douglas Brown at Macy's Cherry Creek - he is absolutely WONDERFUL. read more

I had a great time looking around at the purses and then found out they had a bunch of little stations of make up you could test. Everything was good I used one of the tester q-tips to try on a lipstick I was interested in and accidentally left it there not remembering to take it. Again. An accident. I walk away and stand by the other stations of makeup and get Rudly shouted at by an employee "thanks for leaving the tester there , we greatly appreciate it" I apologize to him and get sick to my stomach after being yelled at for a simple accident I didn't even mean to make. As he goes to throw it away he looks me up and down and walks away giving me a dirty look. That ruined my experience there and I went home frustrated and upset i wasn't asked to politely throw it away as I would have been very happy to do. I bought a sleeper sofa for delivery. Sales staff, price, and quality seemed good. I called to schedule delivery, but the first person I talked to told me the order was cancelled! After attempting to explain how she must be mistaken, I asked to speak to someone else. The next person went ahead and scheduled delivery (evidently not cancelled?) , but it is 7 weeks away!? I asked if I could come pick it up. She said I could not. Quite obvious these people have no idea what is going on. I am skeptical whether I will ever get the sofa. read more

By making sure that they tell the customer that they are making an exception to fix the error even though their error caused a huge inconvenience on top of an over charge to their platinum customer. My Macy's adventure Floor 2 I walked into this wonderful little piece of shopper's heaven, fully focused on one item for pickup. Between the riding boots and holiday cheer I found myself completely lost. I should have brought a map and a compass, next time I'll know better and maybe next time I'll find the ever elusive store directory. Escalator Up to 3, down to 1, back to 2, pitstop at floor 1 Floor 1. It was like there was this huge game of hid and seek going on in the beauty department, not an employee in sight. Twirled all around, checked everywhere and instead found one employee in the jewelry department. She told me my item surely would be available in the beauty department so I wander back over there to see if I could find someone to help. By golly, I found TWO employees! I felt like it was my lucky day! They were hard at work trying on makeup and texting behind the counter. I asked for help and the look of displeasure I got was heartwarming, I still have butterflies! Two seconds later they were back to layering on their makeup and I was headed back up the escalator to floor 3. Floor 3 I was especially pleased when the jolly young lad at the in store pickup desk told me he couldn't assist me. Even better he told me that since my item was not found I was more than welcome to enjoy a lovely escalator ride back down to the first floor to purchase a second item instead. I asked him if he could call the beauty department to see if they could locate a second product. So excitedly he did, his tone was so professional and willingness to help blew me away, I've never been treated so, um, sub par? I asked to speak with a manager and was told I could call the customer service hotline. Okay, buddy, will do! So I took his wonderful advice to cancel my original order and blow another small chunk of change to purchase a second item. So I headed back to floor 1. Floor 1 Product.Doesn't.Exist....seriously? Shoes, baby clothes and housewares are what I mostly purchase here - it is close and not pretentious like many of the other stores at the mall. I love buying gifts for others but hate shopping for myself. I recently and painlessly got a dress here for my sister's wedding - the sales ladies who helped me were kind -especially when I burst into tears as I was so tired from trying to find a dress that I didn't look ridiculous in. Horrible customer service. I went to Estée Lauder and the woman that checked me out took my ID and forgot to give it back. I never got a call from them saying they had my ID (which they have my number because I had just given it to her and I have an account with them). I drove all the way back to aurora and realized I didn't have it. Called the next day since they still hadn't called me and said that it was waiting on the 3rd floor. When I got to the service center, a manager was called and said that she would be there in a minute with my ID and to wait in this back room. I sat there 20 minutes and then decided to go back to ask for my ID again. 5 minutes later a manager finally came and gave it to me. When she asked if they called me about the lost ID I said no and explained that I was a little upset because of how this was handled and she said "oh hm well too bad" then walks away and says "have a good night" read more

I attempted twice to order a gift for my daughter and later recieved an email informing me that the order didn't go through because they called to verify and were unable to reach me during the work day. The number they called on was unidentified and this process is so ridiculous I will never bother using their site for anything, This was despite me calling and getting approval for the second attempt.
